O no! 😂

seriously though! I hope Ono is ready to fight for Harbaugh and these players. i understand the the commish is in no easy spot. Ono hopefully understand the value and dollars Michigan brings to this conference. don’t be afraid to stand your ground. The Acc/Sec might not mind adding a the all time winningest team in college football.

I guess I fail to understand why the commish is in a tough spot. Seems pretty easy to tell a bunch of whiny coaches and ADs who don’t actually have any recourse that everything will wait until after the NCAA investigation. What are they gonna do, leave the BIG10 cuz the conference didn’t immediately suspend Michigans coaching staff?

I'd guess Petitti's own people leaked this one.

Doesn't necessarily mean nothing is coming down the pike.  But simply meeting with Ono theoretically gets people off Petitti's case for a few days (it sounds like hearing it from multiple people).

Pretty standard in the criminal justice system, especially probation revocations. Someone gets picked up on a warrant for an alleged violation, and two months later when the court finally has a hearing on it, the client's usually willing to accept a time served outcome since the government already got their pound of flesh.

Seriously how did we get here? 3 weeks ago we were getting ready to face a lowly IU team with our National Championship level squad.

Now we have the B1G commissioner meeting with our president. All because WolverineDevotee GI Joe wanted to live out his childhood fantasies and would do so at all costs.

No no, people are forgetting the most important part - somebody hired a PI firm to "uncover" the vast, grand cheating scheme which is behind all of Michigan's success, even though the legality of the whole thing is still questionable and the efficacy is dubious based on the NCAA itself.  This is the best the PI could find, which is better than probably 95% of programs out there.

If there's any bend to media- or competitor-generated outrage that yields penalties before due process, the whole thing needs to burn to the ground, starting with lawsuits and sending PIs everywhere, including at the media.

He is going to talk about who will be his secret Santa.

Seriously, I don't see commissioner coming up sanctions or punishments without proof. Santa seems like a reasonable guy and he will handle it well.

A suspension of 2 games for Harbaugh at most. Shows the whiny schmucks at the other B1G schools that he did "something" but he doesn't destroy Michigan's season and potential conference $$ from a postseason run either. The other schools will be unsatisfied but less angry than they are now, while Michigan will be pissed off, especially the players, but not as enraged as they'd be if there was a worse punishment. I still think it's bullshit if that happens, and Michigan should consider looking for another conference to join if that happens. And the other schools that are whining and snitching can go fuck themselves. I used to root for most B1G teams during non conference games, but never again.

Is there a link to the final findings by the NCAA on their investigation ? There must be a report seeing as we are getting reprimanded tomorrow according to all the true fans on here !!!

Look, I get that there is growing sentiment from these folks that something NEEDS to happen but what is the actual (settled) factual predicate that would support suspending JH at this juncture? Maybe I’m putting too much faith in the commissioner but just sort of vaguely gesturing at some facts that, at this point, may not even amount to a rules violation, and then throwing a punishment at JH specifically seems like absurd mob justice. I just don’t see that happening at this point.

Even if they’re going to work from the fact that CS was at games - which he probably was and which would likely be a violation - then how do you take action against Harbaugh specifically without knowing his involvement, if any?

"I'm told..."  "Sources report..."

Man this is journalism hell, just put up whatever tweets without any obligation for accuracy or veracity.  The rumor mill has taken on a life of its own.  Maybe this is all AI driven...?
