The fact that six nitwits like this post does not make it any less dumb. If you think the team or coaches don't approach what they do with enthusiasm you're bananas. If you think anything as stochastic as a fumble is purposeful, you're flat-out stupid. Jimmy does a pretty good job of talking through each fumble in his post-game presser, but listening to it and commenting thoughtfully afterward would require a different order of analytic ability. . . the most banal forms of complaint are what you find here in the aftermath of games, including after wins. 'What fans deserve'. . . self-entitled hoohoo.

Not only did Michigan beat Army, we won't be reading any more silly takes about Josh Gattis' super-octane SPEED IN SPACE offense any more. It's win-win!

Zach Charbonnet.  Plus painfully obvious we were out coached  and out schemed.  Next time when you have not had the lead yet on 4 & 3 in 4th quarter, hopefully learned  you kick the fg for first lead against clock chewers.

It’s always one thing or another with this team.

When Gattis is calling an amazing game, Shea and the 3rd strong RB can’t hold onto the fucking ball.

When the defense finally gets stops, Harbaugh decides to pucker on offense.

Idk what the fuck to make of Don Browns 3 man front bs.

The OL bit is inexplicable to me. The running play designs are not particularly different than last year, and our RB is just as good. The tackles are new, but the interior just isn’t getting it done. The same interior, running the same plays, that road graded most of the B1G last year

Warinner is a good coach. We have good plays. This should not be. It is bizarre.

And it reminds me of the late Hoke era. You can’t identify any one thing that’s the one problem. But things are bad.

re: Shea—something is wrong. This was 2017 Speight-like. I think he must be more seriously hurt than we expect. It’s the only explanation for the choice not to run and for the odd accuracy issues.

I agree with everything you said.  Right down to the Hoke era comparison.  I do think these coaches are much better and should be able to right the ship at some point.  I point to Shea's injury as the biggest issue with this offense right now.  Klatt said something about Shea's oblique being the issue.  I didn't hear anything about a tear or a strain but it is an oblique issue.  That sounds like an injury that would affect his throwing motion for sure.  Every throw, especially deep throws, would cause pain.  He was visibly wincing after the missed throw to Collins in the endzone in the second overtime.

If it is that bad, he should not be playing.  I don't understand Harbaugh's issue with putting in DCaf.  Is he really that bad that an injured Shea Patterson that can't throw deep and won't pull the ball on reads is better?  I have a hard time believing that.

He made the right decision with Kaepernick and Alex Smith in the pros, similar situation here.  I just don't get why he won't do whats right.

Uhhhhh. Sometimes Shea's passing looked crisp. Most of the time it was chaos

I hate running in short yardage from the shotgun. It sucks. Get off my lawn.

Early returns are Locksey 1 Gattis 0

This game wasn’t close because Army is good, it was close because Harbaugh is a jackass who doesn’t take out an injured QB. It was close because the horrible play calling. It was close because Gattis isn’t as good as advertised.

I think we have to hope for a 2014 OSUish turn around or else 4 losses is real, very real. Not saying UM is going to make a playoff run but dang they look discombobulated on offense. I don't know why the O line isn't pushing supposedly inferior D lines around.

The offense was so bad I went from a rationale logical fan to a mouth breathing mlive commentator by the end of that game.  Seriously - wtf were those play calls?

Why is Shea never ever keeping it when he could gain swaths of yards????????

Either it's a coaching decision that is shit. Or it's Shea making the wrong read and it's shit. Or Shea is injured, in which case why isn't DCaff playing instead? Or it's Shea is weak and doesn't want to get hit.

Whatever it is, it's shit and it needs to stop.

Oh, also pass it Nico more. Lots more.

Really curious as to why on earth Patterson is playing ahead of McCaffery. RPO is a huge part of our offense(Or at least I thought it was) and he can't run. He keeps fumbling the ball and his passes are on target MAYBE half the time. It boggles my mind how McCaffery never even got a series.

The offense could not take care of the ball.

The coaches were poopy-heads with their playcalling

Football is stupid.

I don't care if that's a haiku or not. That's what I'm going with.
