No. You have to ask for anyone to post any inside information here. In fact you have to start your own thread about it.

It’s not a flip, it’s hard to get into Stanford. If he gets in he is going there if he doesn’t he’s going to Michigan, you’ll know when he finds out his admission

Ah, the good ole Stephen Herron situation
September 11th, 2019 at 5:41 AM ^
I don't don't follow Stanford recruiting at all. Do a lot of football players get denied admission there? I assumed being a private school, they can do whatever they want.
September 11th, 2019 at 6:11 AM ^
I wouldn't say that football players frequently get denied there, since the football staff is pretty selective in who in they offer. The admissions office is "supposed" to have the same standards for football players as regular students. Now whether that is true or if they just have higher standards than most school for football players (but still less than typical students), who knows

I always thought it was garbage that schools lowered their academic standards for athletes, but as I get older I realize that there really truly is something special about being a world class athlete that goes beyond athletics. You want your school to have an opportunity to mold that kind of clay. Dan Dierdorf, Juwan Howard, Jalen Rose, Charles Woodson, Jim Harbaugh and Desmond Howard, could have been a notch below coming out of highschool, but you'd never know it.
...and don't cherry pick some isolated incident to dis those guys. Is WestQuad going to have to choke a bitch?

It's pretty well known that even at Stanford the football players would be on the lower end of admitted students. They are still quite smart, but it's perhaps not surprising that finding guys who are elite athletes AND elite in the classroom is difficult.
September 11th, 2019 at 10:32 AM ^
I'm pretty sure they lowered their standards to let me in. After all, my team did make the intramural football championship, played in Bo's Building, my senior year.

Chalky - I remember seeing an article a couple of years ago talking about Stanford recruiting & it said that if you are interested in going there you need to start talking to their admissions people your Junior year of high school. There are often special courses that they need you to take or additional things that need to be done to gain acceptance & even after you've done all of that there is still a chance that you don't get in.
So yes it is really tough to get in there even for an athlete

I know what he's going to do, I'm just not telling anybody.

Please come out of your shell.

Except on Counterstrike, right?
September 11th, 2019 at 12:21 AM ^
I heard the Pit Bull banner was a definite turn-off for him.
September 11th, 2019 at 12:35 AM ^
Not sure I see why???
September 11th, 2019 at 4:47 AM ^
Screw Pitbull. Brian messed up and should have used this dude instead.
September 11th, 2019 at 6:03 AM ^
The biggest difference between these two is that Kojak doesn't make shitty music.
September 11th, 2019 at 6:33 AM ^
Are you sure?
September 11th, 2019 at 9:57 AM ^
They both suck..... Kojak just chose lolly pops.
September 11th, 2019 at 7:30 AM ^
Pit bull has got to go. I'm not sure I get the joke and he's creepier than Dr. Pepper.
September 11th, 2019 at 8:19 AM ^
Only Brian likes the Pit Bull thing, and because he saw a TV commercial 20 years ago he's going to force his obscure take of it onto all of us.
Pit Bull is the reason the offense has looked pretty bad this season. Get rid of that ugly fuck, and #SpeedinSpace will take off!
September 11th, 2019 at 8:28 AM ^
Brian has reached that stage which many of us do where you are suddenly all at sea about your pop culture references and tastes, making jokes too obscure for the kids and repellent to adults.
September 11th, 2019 at 9:26 AM ^
Can someone please tell me why Pitbull is on the banner? I must have missed something the years i have read here.
I was a HUGE advocate of changing the old banner. But give me that old banner back any day instead of having this Napoleon complex dweeb, ugly mother fucker forced down my retina every day! Ugggh.
If its just an inside joke - ok. Get it. But can it be temporary?
September 11th, 2019 at 11:36 AM ^
I am a little confused by your post about how you feel about Pitbull. Care to clearify?
September 11th, 2019 at 5:01 AM ^
None here, but I heard our 4 star safety commit Jordan Morant was visiting Texas A&M this weekend.
September 11th, 2019 at 6:43 AM ^
Sam said he was going to make that trip even when he committed to us.
September 11th, 2019 at 9:11 AM ^
Apparently this has been known for a while. Morant personally knows a coach there. Nothing to be worried about for now
September 11th, 2019 at 6:39 AM ^
Kid comes up to watch his brother's first game, so that makes him a potential flip? Yes, would like to see both Hinton's in AA, but come on.
September 11th, 2019 at 9:12 AM ^
There's been rumblings about him flipping for months
September 11th, 2019 at 9:17 AM ^
Read on Scout he was considering flipping until he saw BeatIt's post about Joe Milton platooning with Patterson
September 11th, 2019 at 9:28 AM ^
Heard the same thing from my sources.
September 11th, 2019 at 9:21 AM ^
I would say he isn't committing after Michigan/MTSU until I remembered that Stanford/NW game in front of 895 people.
September 11th, 2019 at 10:17 AM ^
If my Fortnite source doesn't have anything I'll email coach, later tonight after a few pours of Wild Turkey Rare Breed.
I'll let you guys know tomorrow.
September 11th, 2019 at 11:33 AM ^
I live here in Atlanta and know one of his coaches well. He thinks he is a lock to Stanford. This was about 5 weeks ago that I asked him. I can see if he has any thoughts about his visit and if that swayed him.
This is is officially the only insider information I will ever have about anything. I’m pretty sure of that - I guess unless we are recruiting anyone else from GAC.
September 11th, 2019 at 12:05 PM ^
He visited for the Army game. It was a surprise visit. I was on the field. Him, his father and mother stood next to me for about three minutes. He's a real big kid.
