Barner and Johnson are honorable mentions

Barnhart?

Not to be a dick, but he's a much better guard than tackle.

The Zinter injury sucks, but forcing Barnhart to guard and putting Trente at tackle may be a blessing in disguise.

How about those transfers...  the transfer changes are the biggest change that has helped us compensate for the inability to recruit at the same level as OSU.  Bless those changes!

So what they are essentially saying is that the Michigan players are better than the rest of the Big Ten combined?

I thought we won because we knew some signs.

Clear Petitti didn't have a say.

Does anyone know, definitively, who doesn't have eligibility left on this team? The depth chart on MGoBlog is a little murky (for example, Henderson is listed as a JR with a COVID year, but I'm pretty sure he's a SR and out of eligibility bc he played in 2019). Barner was the guy who triggered this question, bc I had no idea he had eligibility left.

Off the top of my head I think the offense only loses Johnson and Henderson to eligibility (obviously lots of NFL departures too).

Defensively, Barrett, Sainristil, and Goode (and Green, who I don't recall seeing play meaningful snaps).

Special Teams, Turner only shows 1 game played in 2019, so that seems unclear (redshirt possibly, plus COVID year?)

Henderson only played 3 years at ASU he is eligible to return with COVID rule.    Nugent has eligibility I am pretty sure.  Only Zinter and Keegan and Barnhart should be graduating off the line.   CJ at WR is graduating. RW has a year left.  BC is graduating and that is it for RB.

Damn... impressive. Any idea of this kind of thing has happened before? Hard to check, I'm sure, but gotta be pretty unlikely... every starter recognized?

I am very happy for all of these individuals! Still, I wish the selections didn't seem to be such a rote "vote for the winners" exercise. Henderson on 1st team was a surprise, Barnhart a surprise. Eichenberg as LB of the year? Balderdash. Fashanu was all hold all the time!

So wait...you're telling me that all 11 offensive starters, 15 defensive players, and 2 special teams players make all-conference and most of the conference ADs thought our success was because of a low-level analyst?  GTFOH

Henderson made 1st team by coaches?  Wow. Didn't think the sample size was big enough. And didn't realize he has played that well.

Same with Nugent, didn't realize he played well enough to get 1st team both with coaches and media, especially the hiccups early on.

Where have I been....

As someone pointed out - the role of other activities has been raised.

It's extremely apparent to me - after watching Michigan play the last three conference games - just how substantial any alleged "other activities" might have influenced what took place on the field.

JJ's completion rate of 87.5% and 80.0% against PSU and OSU, respectively - are one obvious stat that illustrates the point.

It's weird to me that Iowa has 7 guys on the Offense list from both coaches and media:

Coaches: 3 3rd team and 4 HM

Media:  1 3rd team and 5 HM

From a historically bad offense...
