If players are purely NIL driven I don’t think M will ever consistently land them.
NIL will play a role in every recruitment of a top 100, top 250 prospect going forward, but there are still kids that look at the larger picture as well. M needs to identify these players and pursue them relentlessly.

Of course but NIL plays a big role in almost every recruits decision. It would be naive to think otherwise.
Funny how fans here think players that come to Michigan don’t consider NIL and just come out of devotion. Typical fans.

He is the 4th ranked DL in the ‘25 class, and the highest ranked uncommitted DL. He is a high 4 star with a composite of .9785, and the highest rated UM recruit since Will Johnson in 2022. I can’t imagine he was Nora take for the schools you mentioned. With that said, I don’t think it speaks to NIL as a program, good or bad.

You say that but have you seen Michigan's past 2 recruiting classes? Great guys and some underrated gems but recruiting inside the top 100 has been a nightmare. Edge recruiting in particular was a constant NIL battle last cycle.

Yeah, it's more that I read he was likely signing for a couple of days now. Definitely true that breaking into that top 100 has been tougher than you'd expect for a defending national champion and a team with a recent run like UM has had for 3 years now.

The Buckeyes clearly had more talented rosters the last y three seasons - and, I enjoyed how The Game turned out each of those last three seasons.

Just watched his Hudl highlights. Definitely looks the part, but I thought it was funny that only 4-5 clips from a 6 minute video were him as a DE or TE. He was a wide receiver, QB, DT, kick returner, etc.
Does anyone think Moore could end up with a monster 2025 class? I guess we will find out in the next year or two if Michigans recruiting struggles were more NIL related or the fact not all recruits meshed with Harbaughs quirky personality.
