Who had fun?!?! POSBANG
This entire March was like finding money.
In every single pocket . . . behind the couch . . . in tbe car . . .
(starts looking in every pocket, behind the couch...)
No, no. He is the type of person who demands perfection from himself and others. Also spends all day negging every post on a message board.
The last team that lost to Nova in the title game won it all the next year. So we've got that going for us.
has been a blast
I certainly had fun. Yeah that sucked, but it was a hell of a season. Two banners? Hell yeah
What I really wanted was John Beilein to make the Final Four so that he could get credit for replacing all the banners that were taken down.
He did that this season and threw in a National Championship game appearence and a BTT banner as well.
Color me happy.
Great coaching! Great Team! Go Blue!
After escaping with a 76-73 overtime win over Minnesota at home on February 3 and suffering a 61-52 loss at Northwestern on February 6, Michigan was 8-5 in Big Ten play. The Wolverines did not lose another game until April 2.
They weren't a great offensive team. Their three-point shooting wasn't great and their free-throw shooting often was terrible. They might've overachieved, but they also won more games in a season than any other Michigan men's basketball team ever and they won a second consecutive Big Ten Conference Tournament championship and, with thanks to Jordan Poole's miracle three against Houston, some lights-out shooting against Texas A & M, a great defensive effort against Florida State and a thrilling second-half comeback against Loyola-Chicago, they made it to the national championship game.
Diasppointing ending, but a nice 14-game run leading up to the finale. Well done, Wolverines! Go Blue!
even down 15 it was still rocking with every shot,.. as someone who has only been to a few games it was one of the best atmospheres ive ever been at..
Would go again tommorow even with the loss.
Nova started hit real men 3's when we d'ed them up.. and can't beat a team shooting Trey Burke 40 footers.
B1G tourney was fun, we kicked ass. Tournament was mostly omigod I can't believe we're going to lose to this lesser team, omigod we actually won, that was awfulx4, fun blow out x1, and depressing finals. But a painful shitty win is better than any kind of loss. I'd take these results every year.
there were "Thank You" threads popping up every 5 minutes and he whack-a-mole'd them.
This season was a blast!
Proud of the team, loved the crazy run.
Remember people, Poole made a miracle shot. We were very fortunate to make it to the sweet 16, and we got 4 more games - it was a blast!
Even better, we have a very solid program, a fantastic coach, and a shit ton of talent coming to campus. No gloom and doom here - Go Blue!
Fuck this shit. I was happier thinking this team wouldn't make the NIT. I can't stand the fucking moral victories. Now I have to wait another 5 fucking years for the basketball team to let me down again. Luckily I only have to wait another 6 months or so for the football team to lose to OSU for the millionth time in a row, hurray.
I was hoping for a close game. The kids did a heck of a job this season but like an old boss used to tell me, "It can't alway's be New Year's Eve."
Im finishing a grueling 6 week stretch of work In Playa del Carmen..This run kept me occupied and upbeat the whole time away from home and my Family..Gave me something to look forward to each week and made the time go by Fast..For that I will be eternally GRATEFUL!..
I had the entire Resort staff turned into Michigan fans this past month!..I work Directly with them and they picked up on my excitement and enthusiasm. To make it this far and to gather all those Banners along the way was Magical
AND!!!!!! we have ANOTHER Final Four coming up Thursday..No time to sulk we have Another Banner to chase!....GO BLUE!!! Beat ND!!
This was a great tournament run. I always appreciate watching extra games by the team I support. Five extra games of cheering > the way I feel now.
Who had fun?
Well, It was difficult last night, of course, but looking back on the ride, it was fun this season. It had a disappointing finish, but I don like that we can get ourselves there - to the final game - and now just have this game to overcome. Even better, we've gotten there twice in six years, and we now have problems other programs would love to have. I don't think I'll complain about that in the long term.
I might complain a little about last night.
and heart of every member of this team and the wizardry of Coach B, who does it the right way. Divencinzo was ridiculous and spectacular. Michigan gave all they had to give and I feel great about that. Glad my daughter got to see them in person in elite 8 game vaulthing them into final four. Great run, bang, bang !
I wonder if Maizen is capable of having fun.
Good run boys. We'll be back....
One of the best moments was watching the Texas A&M game with a group of friends at the Westgate in Las Vegas...Needless to say for 2 hours that sportsbook was ours. Go Blue!
to Texas and loved getting the chance to cheer for Beilein + Michigan in the National Championship game. The final four win was awesome and I loved every bit of the 9 tournament wins in a row. Got to teach my nieces and nephews how to dance to Can't Turn Me Loose. Go Blue!
Watching them get better over time.
Watching Beilein work his magic.
Beating MSU on their court with Izzo's most talented team.
Beating State again, in a bigger stage in a loser-goes-home game.
Winning a second Title.
Poole's shot
Disemboweling Texas A&M
Making the Final Four
Beating Cinderella
and playing for a shot at the national championship.
Anyone who criticizes that is a fool.
It's better to have lost in the National Championship game than to never have been in the National Championship game at all. Or something like that.
It was a great ride. An unexpected B1G tourney win. An unexpected run to the championship game. It was a good hoops year.
The MBB team represented us with grace, guts, heroism and no small amount of swag. There's no shame to be had and no reason to hang our heads. I'm just as proud to wear the maize and blue as I was yesterday.
Did I have fun following the teams' run to the Final Four? Hell yes. How could I not?
This team was undefeated and did not lose in March. They played some huge games, was the only team to win at Breslin this year, and had huge moments that we will always remember. Thanks for the ride boys. I cannot wait for next year.
