Best thing you saw: Week 11
Chaos everywhere. This week offered one of the best late season slates not on conference championship weekend. Who knew so many match-ups would be blow outs. College kids.
Non-M: I didn't get to watch as many games as I usually do, but caught most of the early games. The evisceration of Sparty was beautiful - and ideally OSU got it out of their system. That said, best thing I saw...the number of impressive catches in the ISU-OkSt game. A one-hander while falling OOB for a ISU TD, the tie that was called an INT that sealed the game for OkSt. Pretty solid theater.
M: A very solid first half with balanced play calling, effective passing, a deep pass to the TE, and an effective knock-out by halftime. Many may not like how the second half played out, but the turtles weren't coming back to win. Let's hope the injuries aren't significant. In sum, the best thing from College Park was seeing an overmatched opponent properly put down by halftime.

Non M: Sparty getting demoralized. Their jaws were flapping a bit much so I thoroughly enjoyed that.
Michigan: Hmmm...Harbaugh telling Nordin he needs to get his shit together. I honestly think if there's a solid option from under 40 I would make the move already. Nordin's head is clearly a mess and it's been several weeks now. Other than that, I didn't see alot that I liked. Maryland dominated the 2nd half and the injuries continued to pile up.

Inexplicable 3rd and 15 blitz call sending 8 guys, though. Fitz looked really good. Really wish they'd have punched in that last TD instead of settling for FG. That was the decider.

So many great things in Maryland game as I watch the highlights. Lot of impressive position groups but have to say I'm most excited about the offensive line and what the offense can accomplish with them when they bring the wood. Oh and to hell with Notra Dame and their season.

game ended at 12:55 AM local MT. LATE night football. It was a fairly fun game to watch, biggest comeback in Boise State football history.
Not a "best" thing but this stat is kind of amazing --- with Tennessee's loss to Missouri they now have an active losing streak against EVERY SEC team.

Good thing they've still got that undefeated streak vs Life

BEST
Some truths we hold to be self-evident. It had to do with the lack of a torrential downpour in a game involving scowling Jesus, and a very satisfying final score.

Michigan best: 1) Peters continuing to play without any major mistakes. At a minimum, he's a competent game manager for now. That's not enough for Wiscy or OSU, but we'll see. 2) The number of Michigan fans who came out and froze their assess off to watch us play a bad Maryland team in College Park. Terps are always gracious hosts when we invade.
Non-Michigan best: Gold chain Miami demolishing ND.

I like to flip around to all the close games every Saturday and man CBS Sports network had four games and they all came down to the wire. Pretty cool.
November 12th, 2017 at 6:55 AM ^
2) ND and Sparty getting exposed as paper tigers
3) General chaos overall. Georgia getting waxed, ND getting taken to the cleaners and beat senselessly. Bama looking extremely mortal, as they have all year. There is no clear cut # 1 team this year. The polls should be very interesting on Tuesday evening. I’m thinking they’ll be:
1) Bama
2) Oklahoma
3) Clemson
4) Miami
First three out are Auburn at 5, Wisconsin at 6, and Georgia at 7.

What looks like argument to viewers is probably more about coaching, and Nordin probably being more disappointed in himself than anything.

Brandon Peters actually checked-down on a couple of passes, a concept never grasped by Speight or O'Korn. Now if our OL could only consistently pass block...
non-UM: Notre Dame and Sparty losing big.

During a late timeout, the Miss State video board played the Christopher Walken SNL cowbell skit to energize the crowd. I thought that was pretty good.

Seeing Tennessee manage that which even their staunchest supports thought was unmanageable - an active losing streak against the entire SEC - was kind of amusing. I wonder when Butch Jones finally gets the boot.
After all the analysis and handwringing about the OSU-MSU line, it was fun to watch OSU take out their frustrations on MSU. I don't even know if the Spartans are fully aware of which train just hit them.
Notre Dame being curbstomped? Well, once always wants this.

Miami thumping ND was wonderful. Perfect end to a good day.

Non M: purple face. Mork’s confused look during his butt whopping. Miami fans have a reason to cheer again. I feel happy for Mark Richt and that he should feel vindicated after getting ousted at Georgia. Purple face. ISU really looked solid even in a loss. No one watched or talked about PSU or Barkley this week. Did I mention purple face?
November 12th, 2017 at 8:15 AM ^
good offensive live generated holes for the running game, turnover free football, Peters going through progression reads when he has time, good defense that threatened shut out.
Sparty humiliated in a game that made complete sense. Mississippi State going toe to toe with Bama before losing a heartbreaker. Bama wore them down a bit late, but it was a heckuva game.

Non M: 48-3, 41-8

Best non-M: Purple Face and Sparty getting sandblasted. I also liked that Georgia got sandblasted. KSmart's team has senior leftovers from Richt's solid teams, and are one dimensional running the ball. Smart (and Fromm) gets more credit for doing the same thing Harbaugh did last year - with SEC butt-licking attached to it.
M: the TE seam for a TD. We haven't seen that play all year, and its the type of quick pass that will beat a pass rush and back off the safeties without stressing a hard throw.

Peters' throw to Grant Perry is the best M thing I saw.
Notre Dame getting humiliated was the best non-M thing I saw.
I always love when the constant false hype of ND gets destroyed!

good for a young QB
