UPDATE: Hoke actually broke the golden rule of his life of not talking about injuries and announces that Derrick Green broke his collarbone on Saturday.

Likely nothing good

October 6th, 2014 at 12:03 PM ^
Probably means we'll start a running back that doesn't fall over in a light breeze.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:14 PM ^
He was dishing it out as good as he got it.
He ran as hard as I've seen him so far in 19 games.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:28 PM ^
He's been better than he has been, that just means he didn't fall over without being touched.
74 yards on 12 carries when his longest was 26 means he was averaging 4.36 yards a carry on the other 11. Against Rutgers.
It's not all on him 'cause the oline clearly plays a part, but I'm not going to panic that a running back whose best game is 4.4 yards/carry wasn't on the depth chart.
October 6th, 2014 at 1:26 PM ^
Now we get to start a back that managed 3.1 ypc against Rutgers.
October 6th, 2014 at 4:44 PM ^
Did you also subtract his worst run? That way you can take away his high and his low and then average it out. The best runs count in games and are good for teams...
No need to panic, but think about that average compared to last year, etc... Geez..
October 6th, 2014 at 5:19 PM ^
I'll take 4.36 YPC against a bowl-caliber team.

Green morphed into Brandon Minor on Saturday night. Can't explain it. He powered through arm tackles, attacked the hole, and even RAN STRAIGHT OVER A DUDE for a first down.
October 6th, 2014 at 2:58 PM ^
Why aren't you calling everyone out on their excessive negativity and how it is decreasing the quality of the blog?

Brady Hoke only needs 10 on offense
October 6th, 2014 at 11:58 AM ^
commence panic in 3....2......1
October 6th, 2014 at 12:05 PM ^
There rare double-post sandwich
October 6th, 2014 at 12:09 PM ^
If panic hasn't already set in and worn off by this point in the season, after what we've seen, you must be the most stoic person I've ever "met" on the interwebs.
Oh, and your avatar makes me want to e-punch you in the throat.

October 6th, 2014 at 2:25 PM ^
It's a picture of Brandon looking like a douche...what's the problem?
October 6th, 2014 at 12:44 PM ^
What are we panicking about again? Our chance to win the Big 10 east? Our chance for the playoffs?
The only panic is about if we win 0 or 1 game in the Big 10.
Obviously feel bad for Green but it is not like he was the bulkhead of this offense, on a team that was chugging along to win a championship or hell a .500 season.

I remember Smith getting dinged up but not Green.

I hope Morgan doesn't play the rest of the season and they get him a medical redshirt. Bolden/Morgan would be a great linebacking duo next season.

Is this true? I've never broken into my apartment or anyone else's, but I can't imagine that putting your fist through a window is the best way to do it. I'm hoping alcohol was involved, or that the story isn't true.
October 6th, 2014 at 4:05 PM ^
Yes it is true, he's from my hometown. And we know people close to their family.
As he was pulling his hand out he slit all the tendons in his wrist and apparently was bleeding excessively and he called the cops to bring him to the hospital.
Bright side is, he gets his redshirt year. Not sure if alcohol was involved, but it obviously happened after the App. State game
October 7th, 2014 at 2:43 PM ^
Dang, that sounds painful. Hopefully he gets his redshirt. It would be great to have him for another year.
October 6th, 2014 at 3:16 PM ^
Morgan won't be back this year. See my post below, not sure why it posted this far below what i responded to, w/e the post above this explains it
October 6th, 2014 at 11:59 AM ^
oh no.....
Just spoke with a Michigan spokesman. Derrick Green not appearing on the depth chart is not a mistake, but gave no comment.

Someone is either in big trouble (doubtful) or is leaving.

False. WD beat you by 1 minute.
October 6th, 2014 at 3:02 PM ^
a ticket to the Penn State game instead
October 6th, 2014 at 12:10 PM ^
Oh, I get it. Because they don't comment on injuries...right?
October 6th, 2014 at 12:15 PM ^
I mean in this best way possible: I hope he just injured himself or failed a drug test.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:33 PM ^
I may be a little fuzzy on the rules, but doesn't the NCAA cut off your arm and send it to your family if you fail a drug test? Why would you want that?
October 6th, 2014 at 8:12 PM ^
I thought for a first-time offence it's a 2 to 3 game suspension. I may be wrong. What I meant is that I was hoping it wasn't some locker room dispute in which our best recruits may be looking for a way out of this program. I now know it was a collarbone injury, which freaking sucks. Green transferring though... that'd hurt.
October 6th, 2014 at 11:59 AM ^
Probably a mistake. They can't do anything right.

were banged up in the Rutgers game.

Peppers is next. He'd be on there if some people at the school would have the brains to cut dead weight and rid this program of the "cancer" that is Brady Hoke.

On Sunday, one source told me that Derrick Green broke his collarbone against Rutgers. He's not on depth chart: http://t.co/mfyfsYkvBZ
