MBB@OSU: Anyone watching? Bueller?
This is our Super Bowl, I'm ready for the pain!
Go Blue?
I'm currently watching for unknown reasons
Same, for the reasons unknown to mankind
4-2 Buckeyes at the first TV Timeout.
A bit under the weather. Watching because why not
3 minutes in and I’m already contemplating turning it off. OSU is only up 2 but they’ve blown a layup and an open 3. Meanwhile M just took a long fadeaway 2 in transition, which is one of the dumber shots I’ve seen this year, and that’s saying something.
Everything we do on offense just seems so difficult. It’s hard to execute an entry pass, then it’s hard to do anything with the ball without turning it over, then the play goes well you have a contested jump shot. But it’s ok, because apparently “this shit works.”
manage expectations and all's well
Well, so far we have twice as many turnovers as points, so my expectations are being met, but it’s still painful as fuck to watch.
Reed is on pace for 12 turnovers all by himself 🤪
Would that count toward a double-double?
I appreciate your sense of humor Ruth.👍
Does anyone in college basketball have worse hands than Reed? He's be a star of he could hold onto the ball. So much for Juwan as a big man whisperer.
This game looks like 2 middle school teams going at it.
Middle school JV.
What do you have against middle school JV., (smirk).
My son’s middle team coach would never have a team play defense as bad as Michigan. Don’t stop the ball, you’re on the bench. Can’t box out, you’re on the bench. The lack of any defensive fundamentals or effort on this Michigan team is something that wouldn’t be tolerated by any decent middle school club team.
Washington shows nothing everytime he's on the court
At the game. Looks more lost in person than on TV.
4 TOs and 2 points, setting records here
I guess we’re just gonna dispense with the “30 minutes of competitive play” and commence the fuckery from the opening tip.
I'm watching.
I'm also drinking, but I'm watching.
Good idea. I'll join you.
Cheers 🥃🥃
Glad I’m not the only one
I thought the Elijah Craig would help…it didn’t.
+1 for Elijah Craig 🥃
I'm watching the golf tournament and drinking beer 🍺
Can rock bottom be lower than rock bottom?
If this rock bottom goes much deeper, we’re gonna be in the core of the earth.
This team is single-handedly proving the flat earthers wrong. If Earth was flat, Michigan basketball would have found the underside of the Earth by now.
They’re my Team when they’re great and mine when they’re not. Damn, I wish they were great.
I like to watch and I'm not watching. But I just got done watching Caitlin Clark become the all time leading scorer in NCAA D-1 history, men and women. Pistol Pete handed over the crown from his (too early) grave.
I find it ironic that just a few months ago, Michigan and OSU faced off in a football field as arguably the two best teams in the country. Far snd away the two best teams in their conference.
Meanwhile, their respective basketball teams are the bottom of the barrel and while Michigan is a notch or two below OSU this year, OSU is still a bad basketball team and good for second to last in the conference.
You have to give OSU credit that at least they acknowledged reality and fired their coach. We have at least another year of Howard destroying our basketball program.
So, when do we start the fire Juwan conversation, and bring Warde along? Wait til 2nd half, when we inevitably crumble?
I'm going to watch this thread, which will be a hundred times more enjoyable (and entertaining) than watching the game.
Figured Michigan basketball was canceled by now.
Why? This shit works.
If I have to watch one more Reed post up this year I will start to hate this sport
But Juwan is a great big man coach....
Pay attention to Reed. He seems like a true freshman still.
It is painful to watch. I have no words for what his shot actually is other than some kind of scoop shot thing that misses more than it goes in.
Can’t believe they cut away from a competitive IU vs Maryland game with over a minute left for this middle school exhibition
I am. Big reason of our play is that Reed is as soft as Mark Donnal was. It kills. No presence inside, no rebounds. He plays so small.
Every game it seems like we get doubled up on the “points in the paint” statistic. Reed could be a defensive presence inside, but he’d rather be a perimeter defender. Once the other team gets him chasing guards around the 3 point line, the middle is wide open because this team doesn’t know how to help defend or rotate. Offensively, we can’t get any points in the paint because our options are Dug’s ridiculous scoop shot or Reed waiting for someone to knock the ball away from him as he holds it at his waist.
His basketball IQ leaves a lot to be desired. Can’t count how many times he leaves his man to go for a block that he has no chance of getting to and then gives up an easy offensive rebound/put back. He’s aggressive when he should be patient and stands around when he should be aggressive. And don’t even get me started on his lack of development on offense; he still looks like a freshman out there
Hanging around. Loves to see the guys in blue spoil the buckeyes senior day. Go Blue!
Juwan could be fired for wasting timeouts when a whistle would make a timeout. He's done it at least 15 times this season
It seems like he thinks it’s a two fer one sale
Why do people think this is only a Juwan thing? Coaches all over the place do it.
Im in the camp that he should be fired yesterday, but this take is so stupid.
Breaking out the Elijah Craig single barrel. I hope this helps swallow what I am watching on TV.
