We’re Going To Win It All
A lot of hand-wringing about FSU not getting into the CFP right now. Obviously, would have much rather had to play them with a backup QB, and I think the committee got it wrong leaving out an undefeated conference champion, but in the end I don’t think it matters. Florida State was not going to win the title. Neither is Alabama. Washington, Texas, they won’t win it all. That’s because our #1 Michigan Wolverines are going to be National Champions this year.
It’s The Team speech. They can throw out all those great backs and quarterbacks. But do you really believe that anyone else in the country has a better team than us? You think it matters who is on the opposite sideline when our sideline has Blake, JJ, Mike, Graham, Kris, Kenneth, Roman, and MFJH?
This season the mantra has been Michigan vs. Everybody. At the end of the season, it’s going to change to Michigan Beats Everybody. Including Alabama. Including either Washington or Texas. This team doesn’t care who they play, they care for each other. They stayed, and they will be Champions.
Let’s fucking Go Blue.

FSU got screwed … The SEC bias is real
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:58 PM ^
If losing your QB matters, why didn't OSU get skipped over when their QB was hurt in the Michigan game in 2014?? 🤔🤔
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:05 PM ^
Didn’t they win by like 50 points in the BTT game?
Look, I would hate to be FSU and I feel bad for them, but in my understanding it is the CFP job to try to identify the 4 best teams and let them play it out. FSU is not one of them without Travis.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:17 PM ^
Genuine question, where did this "it's about picking the four best teams" line come from?
I can't find that in the CFP's criteria or mission statement. What it does say: "The College Football Playoff (CFP) is a postseason event to determine college football’s national champion on the field, while emphasizing the significance of college football’s unique regular season where every game counts."
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:20 PM ^
Ok, so would you say their job isn’t to pick the 4 best teams?
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:47 PM ^
I'd argue it's to select the 4 most deserving teams.
Subtle difference.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:48 PM ^
I think their job is to pick a field that creates a deserving and uncontroversial national champion. Nobody seems to be mentioning that if FSU wins their bowl game, you have a split national championship -- the precise outcome the playoff is supposed to avoid.
December 3rd, 2023 at 2:15 PM ^
Yes, their job is to pick the four teams who are most deserving and who have actually proven on the field to be the four best, within reason.
Alabama hasn't proven that on the field this year. The committee selected them based on one single game and their history and recruiting rankings. The committee fucked FSU. On the other hand, it should work out well for us, because the fact that this Bama is not 2011-2021 Bama will be made clear on Jan 1, as it has been made clear many times already this season. In a game of 2023 Minter vs. 2023 Milroe, I'll take Minter all day long.
December 3rd, 2023 at 2:33 PM ^
If this was about the 4 best teams, OSU and Georgia would be in the playoffs with Alabama and Michigan. Throw out the records, these are the best 4.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:39 PM ^
You are correct but it also clearly states that the absence of players or coaches has to be taken into account
December 4th, 2023 at 12:21 AM ^
Yes, as a tiebreaker. I don't get how a 13-0 P5 versus a 12-1 P5 is a tiebreaker scenario. I think Bama is better than FSU. But Bama didn't earn it, and FSU did. Case closed, if I got to pick the teams.
December 3rd, 2023 at 2:31 PM ^
One of the considerations is the impact of a coach or a significant player missing a previous or future game. It is written in their guidelines.
December 3rd, 2023 at 2:54 PM ^
This. Also, each of the playoff-four have beaten someone in the current top 8, except FSU (barely a top-25 win).
December 3rd, 2023 at 10:02 PM ^
The four best teams are us, OSU, Bama, and Georgia. The selectively chose whoever the fck they wanted.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:14 PM ^
Because they won their conference championship game 59-0…..
They obliterated Wisconsin, and literally dared the committee to leave them out.
The people who have been arguing that there’s a precedent for this in favor of FSU’s chances, that’s fine, but those people need to understand that this was the bar OSU set that year. FSU came nowhere close to hitting that bar last night.
December 3rd, 2023 at 11:43 PM ^
Simple, they're not in the SEC.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:06 PM ^
All about the TV money. Saban or Harbaugh in the final is gold. It’s just like the money made over “the greatest scandal in Big 10 history”. Money.
Our team does not think like that so I really believe The Team will win it all.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:10 PM ^
Objectively, I don’t have a huge issue with Alabama, jumping Florida State. But after all that talk, that “Boo” gave us about criterion, those assholes still had Florida State ahead of Georgia.
Zero credibility.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:42 PM ^
Exactly nobody thinks this FSU without Travis is better than GA, OSU or even Oregon..
if his injury was their excuse why didn’t they begin to drop FSU weeks ago ?
Why are they ranked at 5 when there are 3-4 teams ranked below them that are better than them at this point ?
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:11 PM ^
If I am Florida State and win my bowl game and any National Champion selector picks my teams as #1 then I claim that national championship. To be honest that is only fair for being unjustly left out.
December 3rd, 2023 at 2:55 PM ^
Stop trying to make us share, again
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:48 PM ^
I’m bummed. Ngl. I’ll just say the first thing you’ll immediately notice when Michigan takes the field v Bama is how small our players look. This was worst case scenario.
I believe in this team but damn damn damn
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:59 PM ^
Really? You're noticing size differences? Details, please.
If you'd said speed instead, I might be open to listening, even though I've heard "SEC speed" enough times to last a lifetime.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:06 PM ^
It wasn’t Bama but I absolutely noticed the size difference when we played Georgia. I was confident about that game until I saw our dudes out there for the coin toss and what I saw across from them.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:57 PM ^
The 2021 Georgia defense is something that doesn't come around every year, no matter how well you recruit
December 4th, 2023 at 7:24 AM ^
Yup. I’m pretty sure Blake is to scale. Kenneth Grant? Check. O-Line? Maybe bigger. TE? About the same. Our WR’s? Fine, smaller.
We are not what we used to be. Enjoy.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:07 PM ^
You believe Michigan's spot should be given to Florida State, Ohio State, or Georgia. You believe in taking the easy road. Your idea of toughness is equivalent to Ryan Day's.
You don't believe in this team.
That's too bad.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:21 PM ^
This take is as soft as cooked macaroni. Bring on Saban and Bama! To be the man, you’ve got to beat the man.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:28 PM ^
Mikey's "lack of size" laughs in your face. BET
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:56 PM ^
This take might have made sense in, like, 2007 when Mark May was saying "SEC Speed" every 45 seconds on ESPN. In 2023, Michigan has perhaps the best S+C program in the country, some of the best player development, and may get more guys drafted than any program this year. Not every SEC power is the 2021 Georgia defense, which was generational. Bama has good players, but let's not embrace bizarre and outdated narratives
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:48 PM ^
I love this matchup. Win against Bama and eliminate the SEC. Follow that by winning the highest watched CFP final ever against Texas.
Go Blue
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:52 PM ^
Then beat Texas again in September… Just to put a stamp on it. Go blue! Win it all.
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:56 PM ^
And for good measure, beat Washington in October.!!!
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:49 PM ^
Dont care who we play. Its already us v Everybody
We are going to win.
Bet...
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:51 PM ^
Yeah no point bitching about it anymore. Go blue beat Bama.
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:50 PM ^
we may win it all. we may not. but the last three years have been a blast as an M fan
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:53 PM ^
I think this is just another bullet this team eats. You give us the #1 seed and then put Bama against us? Okay, fine. Bet.
I have no doubt that they learn from the offensive game planning mistakes they made against TCU last year and have something ready for Bama from the start. Milroe may be pretty good, but he's still a first year starter. Michigan will not back down, they'll look Alabama straight in the eye and play harder.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:18 PM ^
Can't go into this game thinking we are just going to run it down Bama's throat because that won't be happening. I believe we are going to lean on JJ hard from the start. If he plays well that will open up the run.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:31 PM ^
Iowa is forcing us to self correct on offense. This is needed vs. Alabama.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:31 PM ^
Auburn rush yards vs Alabama one week ago: 243
December 3rd, 2023 at 2:56 PM ^
Learning the TCU lessons is THE key to winning vs. Bama. That's it. If we do that, we more than likely win.
We have the defense to win the game, but the offense has to pull their weight.
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:57 PM ^
The team groaned when they saw it was Alabama. Good. They know they're facing a good team. I get the impression they thought much less (rightfully so) of FSU and might have taken them lightly. This should motivate them to work even harder to kick some 'Bama ass.
GO BLUE!
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:03 PM ^
Huh!!!
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:09 PM ^
I didn't hear a groan. I think it was surprise. It was the same reaction I had.
Now you go play. You've got to beat them all to win it all.
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:57 PM ^
Dude...
December 3rd, 2023 at 12:59 PM ^
The front 7 must play well for us to stifle the offense. I think that our secondary has already demonstrated how effective they can be against the most talented receiving corps in the country. Furthermore, Tommy Rees ain't shit as an OC. Offensively, we'll need to empty the book and get it done. Get everyone healthy, scheme it up and go do the damn thing. The setting has been laid and it's a storybook narrative, Michigan needs to fulfill their part and win.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:00 PM ^
Pretty fucked for FSU but I said it yesterday and say it again.
If there's been a year to play Bama in the last dozen or so, this is the year.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:01 PM ^
〽️ will beat Bama.
Toss up game between Texas and Washington, I’m going with Wash.
Win the Game!!!
〽️ Go Blue 〽️
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:02 PM ^
Bama fans are already penciling themselves into the National Championship Game. Their tears are going to be sweet.
December 3rd, 2023 at 1:59 PM ^
Spartan tears, sweet.
Buckeye tears, savory.
Tide tears, salty.
