Article from Click On Detroit about sweet revenge
Decent read. Here's to hoping Tony small Petitti feels totally embarrassed tomorrow night.

Nobody knows for sure where the information about Connor Stalions’ sign-stealing operation came from, but everyone knows who had the most to gain from its very strategic and timely exposure.
Think about that for a second. We lost our coach for 1/3 of the season and against our two toughest teams and "Nobody knows where the info came from" is a real thing?
In what other world would this be allowed let alone embraced like Tiny Peepee has? If this was a show plot we would laugh at how comically bad the writing is.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:03 PM ^
I read that as a "wink, wink" situation, the author doesn't believe that "nobody knows". Overall I think this is a great piece and a wonderful cheat sheet for anyone not living and dying with the team like us.

I'm still waiting for the full scoop on JFK and the origin of Covid-19.

Tony can enjoy the Free Harbaugh banner hanging from the rafters tomorrow as well!

Yeah I have no idea why that part of it hasn't been a bigger story. Why are PI's allowed to be hired to find dirt on rival programs and present the evidence to the NCAA and conference? Does that not seem to be rather...*gasp* unsportsmanlike? I mean that's what the Big Ten punished Michigan over. It seems they should be just as invested in uncovering who the hell hired this PI firm in the first place, because it certainly wasn't Michigan.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:43 PM ^
Day's PI's struck the first blow, then had a few months to try to cover their tracks, that's why it's been difficult.
NCAA has the spread sheet as concrete "evidence" plus the accusations of a disgruntled pedophile to use against Michigan
December 1st, 2023 at 5:11 PM ^
NCAA will be even more of a laughing stock if they use the disgruntled employee's testimony.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:13 PM ^
And its not a good look for the conference. Something that should have been addressed behind closed doors and broadly across the conference became a massive stain on one of your most important programmes. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

Love this article. On little Tony:
He used a ludicrous line by Michigan’s second-biggest rival about “player safety concerns” in his notice of allegations. He misrepresented and failed to address Michigan’s major counterpoints in his response. He was disingenuous and condescending because he knew nobody else was going to stick up for the Wolverines or care if they were treated unfairly.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:02 PM ^
That part really gets me too: he must know - by now - that player safety is a ridiculous claim.
Man oh man, UM really needs this one more win. The chorus of boos will be too sweet.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:50 PM ^
Just got to get used to the criteria:
Illegal sign-stealing = dire threat to player safety
Legal sign-stealing (ie sharing info) = who cares, why are you bringing this up?
December 1st, 2023 at 2:02 PM ^
Wait...Illinois brought up the "player safety concerns?"
December 1st, 2023 at 2:22 PM ^
I want to give this one a special call out. I did actually, not figuratively, LOL. (Which I tend to do when I have to think for just a second on what is the point suggested by the writer.)
December 2nd, 2023 at 8:23 AM ^
That's what I'm here for.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:27 PM ^
No man, it was Rutgers
December 1st, 2023 at 2:14 PM ^
I mean, yeah, that's exactly what happened. Can't argue with the truth.
December 1st, 2023 at 1:59 PM ^
"Nobody knows for sure where the information about Connor Stalions’ sign-stealing operation came from, but everyone knows who had the most to gain from its very strategic and timely exposure. For the first time in decades, Michigan had won back-to-back games against the Buckeyes and went on to conference championships."
Indeed...

Kudos to the author of this piece, Derick Hutchinson (any relation?). I almost skipped this topic because I saw the Click on Detroit url and figured it would be just clickbait. This is really well-written and gets to the heart of the matter devastatingly well.
Damn, son. Well done.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:02 PM ^
Fuck Petitti, the only thing I care about is getting that W.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:02 PM ^
Petitti was not caught between a rock and hard place. There was a clear "right" decision, he just chose to ignore it. Telling the other teams that "we don't have the resources to investigate these allegations and will allow the NCAA to do so, consistent with BIG by laws" was the only decision. It was a completely self-inflicted wound.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:49 PM ^
Correct. Sane people follow the process. Acting like this was necessary, emergency action was preposterous.
December 1st, 2023 at 3:55 PM ^
And tomorrow, Tony Peteenyweenie is going to pay the price. No more hiding in his panelled office in Chicago. He's going to have to face in person the team and fans he tried to screw over. Michigan fans are going to give him the Goodell treatment times 10. And the Lord be willing and the creek don't rise, tomorrow, Harbaugh will grab the Big Ten trophy out of his slimy, little hands.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:05 PM ^
There have been a number of terrible journalism moments in this saga, but here is the worst transgression to me:
Not a single journalist followed up and asked one of the coach's who said this was "the worst thing ever"..."Coach, because sign-stealing is legal, shouldn't you have a plan in place to combat it? What do you do in a game if you think a team has your signs? And if it was obvious Michigan had your signs, why didn't you put that plan into action?".
Think about it: Matt Rhule could be in a bowl game if he had his quarterback use a wristband!
December 1st, 2023 at 2:07 PM ^
It should simply make you question any journalism you see. It's weird: any time I know anything about something in the news, I'm like "wow, that's crap reporting". But then I read the other stuff and think "oh, interesting!"...
December 1st, 2023 at 2:06 PM ^
The OSU and MSU accounts on social media who were assuring everybody that the hammer was going to come down on Michigan and we'd be disqualified from participating in the conference championship game have about 30 hours until kickoff to see their dreams realized.
Petite Titties better get moving.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:08 PM ^
well, I wouldn't believe it, but given how things have gone thus far...
December 1st, 2023 at 2:21 PM ^
There have been so many "that will never happen" moments in this saga, it's hard to completely dismiss anything.
That being said, suspending a coach at the last minute and changing whole teams 24hrs out are in different galaxies in terms of logistics.
December 1st, 2023 at 3:00 PM ^
“and changing whole teams 24hrs out are in different galaxies in terms of logistics.”
Yep.The time to make that decision was 15 minutes after the final gun last Saturday, if not before. There’s an alarmingly large number of people who are completely clueless about the logistics of major sporting events.

I wonder how long they'll wait for vacated wins. I'll give you a hint: eternity.
December 1st, 2023 at 3:17 PM ^
i like how you think
December 1st, 2023 at 2:06 PM ^
I cannot wait. I'll be screaming at the TV when Puh-tit has to hand over his confidence card to Harbaugh.

In exchange for the conference trophy, we could always give Tony the actual finger, not the one Laugh-In used to make it network-friendly:

I like the wings. They'll make it really difficult to extract it from the place it truly belongs.

I like the 'starting to feel like a second home' phrase.
The Hawkeyes are a 10-win team with one of the best defenses in the nation. Michigan can’t simply walk into Lucas Oil Stadium -- which is starting to feel like a second home -- and come away with an easy win.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:09 PM ^
Fuck Tony Petitdick, I hope the team tosses him off the stage and crowdsurfs his ass out the stadium into a pile of shit left by a horse that was eating too many beans.
December 1st, 2023 at 3:35 PM ^
Harsh but fair.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:16 PM ^
Sweet revenge: watching the opposing qb wear himself out running to the sideline and still beating them 49-0. Asshats
December 1st, 2023 at 2:16 PM ^
Imagine the phrase "Embarrassing behavior" coming from a Spartan fan.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:34 PM ^
If clickondetroit is considered part of the blue wall, no wonder Michigan lost the PR battle.
December 1st, 2023 at 3:23 PM ^
Every Spartan fan I know now is like this now. Bitter, insecure, and full of piss/vinegar.
December 1st, 2023 at 3:56 PM ^
So... same as they always were.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:12 PM ^
I have to thank Wee Tony for the extra motivation for tomorrow. In a lot of other circumstances, I think Michigan might overlook Iowa. This probably helps avoid that scenario.
Thank you Tiny Tony!

Jim Harbaugh promotes shared revenue. The BIG is owned by Ohio. Remember 2016. Watch that video for a refresher.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:20 PM ^
I'm looking forward to seeing it (obviously mostly because it will be after a win), but it's not going to be that eventful.
Petitti will face the crowd, say a few short words of congratulations through a loud chorus of boos, then turn and hand the trophy to Harbaugh with minimal eye contact and GTFO. It's how Warren handled it the last two years as well.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:46 PM ^
He might just ask Archie to handle any presentation.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:56 PM ^
I hope Jim refuses to take it from him-tells him to put it on the floor...turns away and high fives his team.
