2025 5* QB Bryce Underwood crystal ball'd to LSU
Title says it all, both Allen Trieu and Steve Wiltfong putting in 6's this morning.

Beat OSU.

JJ is returning. Gives Davis a year to get ready.
The defense will still be stacked. Those celebrating the Wolverine demise will be very disappointed
November 21st, 2023 at 4:15 PM ^
to be fair how could he turn down this charisma?
November 21st, 2023 at 4:38 PM ^
In many places, men give pole dancers money. At LSU, it is the other way around.
November 21st, 2023 at 5:01 PM ^
Money gives pole dancers to men??
November 21st, 2023 at 5:38 PM ^
My understanding is that is basically how it works…
November 21st, 2023 at 6:25 PM ^
It’s just a form of NIL.

Purple people eater
November 21st, 2023 at 8:33 PM ^
Kelly can't wait to throw him under the bus when his total pack of defense strategy doesn't pay off.
November 21st, 2023 at 5:53 PM ^
Oh, I love to go out fishing
In a river or a creek
But I don't enjoy it half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek
November 22nd, 2023 at 2:16 AM ^
Great! Now can we move on from him, or do we wanna constantly post links about his every move/word to self-torment? He doesn't wanna stay home and play? Fuck him, Dante Moore, and CJ Carr!! I'm just glad they decided to go play over a thousand miles away, and not Ohio.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:23 AM ^
He's a 2025 recruit who is going to be recruited until the minute he signs. A verbal commitment means nothing anymore, so he could commit to LSU today and that doesn't change the chances we end up with him.
November 21st, 2023 at 3:30 PM ^
Change his mind on Saturday
November 21st, 2023 at 3:38 PM ^
Assuming he shows up for the game. His appearance was still in question per Sam Webb's recruiting roundup this morning.
That LSU money cannon will be hard to beat.
November 21st, 2023 at 3:48 PM ^
Might also have something to do with the mess that is our program off the field. If hebwas 50/50 with LSU and us, it's not a money cannon that would change his mind, it's our shit show
November 21st, 2023 at 3:54 PM ^
You should not be getting downvoted.
We all know it's bullshit but from the outside this chaos could scare someone off for sure. Especially with people YET AGAIN saying JH to NFL and now Meek claiming we're going to be "punished heavily". No matter how realistic or sane, it's the media vibe right now.
November 21st, 2023 at 5:22 PM ^
Is there any truth to this Meek claim? I haven’t been able to find him claiming this anywhere and the thread got deleted without explanation. Makes me think it’s bs
November 21st, 2023 at 8:31 PM ^
I’m not even sure it’s the off field nonsense. Our passing game has turned to crap the past two weeks while Jayden Daniels been putting up video game numbers.
November 21st, 2023 at 4:51 PM ^
Not a mess. Any intelligent recruit knows it was a hit job, which doesn't happen to those who aren't atop the mountain.
November 21st, 2023 at 7:57 PM ^
Not a knock on 17-year-olds, but we are talking about 17-year-olds here...
November 21st, 2023 at 5:15 PM ^
I’m not seeing the “shit show” you speak of
November 22nd, 2023 at 5:41 AM ^
Agreed, HC suspended 6 games in total and for 1000th win and one of the biggest games in program history this weekend, Connor Stallions, Chris Partridge, booster involvement, and much more likely to come. But yes, confirmed not a shit show, perfectly normal. Come on guys, this is a complete disaster off the field. Forgot about vehemently demanding due process and then completely changing course, wonder what happened? I love this team, but Jim has a disaster on his hands and will be very lucky to be coaching here next season
November 21st, 2023 at 7:04 PM ^
The question to always asks is who benefits most if our program is seen as a mess.
November 21st, 2023 at 7:28 PM ^
Might also have to do with an LSU QB probably winning the Heisman and Brian Kelly killing kids.
November 21st, 2023 at 3:48 PM ^
More than just the LSU money cannon, their QB production will be hard to beat.
LSU currently boasts the #3 passing offense (with fewer attempts per game than the two teams above them). Their QB currently has 1,200 more passing yards than JJ, 18 more passing TDs (literally doubling JJ in this category), 900 more rushing yards and 7 more rushing TDs.
We can talk about “money cannons” all we want, but the fact of the matter is the LSU QB is averaging ~200 total yards and ~2 TDs more than JJ PER GAME. It’s incredibly difficult to attract elite talent if you’re not putting that talent on display when you DO have it. LSU showcases their QBs, Michigan does not. It’s really as simple as that.
November 21st, 2023 at 4:08 PM ^
JJ is two years younger. His development for NFL is seen as much more ready.
I like Jayden Daniels, but he’s a fifth year player and starter. He’s having a career year more sore than LSU having a more dynamic offense. Older QBs should be able to dominate and throw much more. JD’s stats were not blowing up the stat sheet in any previous year. Michigan’s offense DOES highlight JJ as a passer, but we have Corum and Edwards as rushers. LSU is overusing JD to where he has the most rushes and yards in their team.
Yet, which of the two has better third year stats? Which one is going to have a longer NFL career.
JD is like DTR with the Browns—improved every year and has ability. Yet, JD is like a Lamar Lite or an Allen Lite. JJ plays like John Elway or, I hate to say it as a Bears fan, an Aaron Rodgers.
JD has a much lower floor (Malik Cunningham) than JJ (Cutler or McNair).
So if one looks past this season’s stats, sees value in NFL evaluation, then I’d want to work with Harbaugh over the Cajun Leprechaun.
November 21st, 2023 at 4:22 PM ^
We just came off a game where JJ attempted 8 passes…
You’re turning this into a JJ vs Daniels conversation and that’s not it at all. Elite players want to go where their talent gets put on display. QBs and WRs want to go to schools that will throw the ball around and have a track record of getting their guys drafted high.
JJ can be a better QB with a higher ceiling than Daniels. That has absolutely nothing to do with Underwood though. Underwood isn’t looking to go somewhere that currently has a better pro prospect at QB, he’s looking to go somewhere that’s willing to let him sling the rock. It’s okay to acknowledge that Michigan doesn’t throw the ball a lot and that puts us at a disadvantage when it comes to recruiting QBs and WRs.
November 21st, 2023 at 4:30 PM ^
Michigan still - STILL - hasn’t had a qb throw for over 25 TDs in a season. May not this year either, although if we get 4 more games JJ most likely will. The nfl is a passing league. If I’m Bryce I’m looking at that.
November 21st, 2023 at 5:16 PM ^
Does he wanna win or get beat by Alabama/Georgia every year?
November 21st, 2023 at 5:46 PM ^
Or does he want to lose to them in the playoffs every 3rd year? You are talking as if Michigan beats those teams on the regular. We looked like JV side by side next to Georgia 2 years ago.
As above has said, you should be running to come to Michigan as an OL, TE, or RB.
As a WR or QB - no.
November 21st, 2023 at 6:53 PM ^
Well that was Cade. We will see how we look if we get there this year.
November 21st, 2023 at 7:39 PM ^
I mean… we lost to TCU last year in the playoff with JJ, and then watched them get boat raced by Georgia.
November 21st, 2023 at 6:02 PM ^
Not sure how that’s an argument for him going to Michigan? We’re not beating Bama or Georgia any more than LSU is.
November 21st, 2023 at 7:05 PM ^
Would you rather win or have flashy stats?
November 21st, 2023 at 7:36 PM ^
Why are we pretending like LSU doesn’t win and put up flashy stats? They won 10 games last season and played in the SEC Championship. They’re just a couple years removed from a national title behind the best passing season in NCAA History.
Believe it or not, some programs win AND put up flashy stats. It’s okay that Michigan doesn’t, simply winning is ultimately what matters. We just need to realize what that means when it comes to recruiting elite playmakers.
November 21st, 2023 at 5:43 PM ^
Our former third and fourth sting QB's are now starting for other schools?
Seems pretty clear to me that Michigan is developing their QBs at a very high level.
November 21st, 2023 at 6:07 PM ^
Starting at other schools is not the same as putting up big numbers in college and getting drafted high. Nobody is coming to Michigan to “start at a different school.”
November 21st, 2023 at 4:09 PM ^
Fair enough, but I would think that (purely speculation on my part) seeing a school get QBs drafted in the 1st round would carry even more weight. Michigan hasn't done that for quite a while. Hopefully that changes with JJ -- whether that's after this year or next.
November 21st, 2023 at 5:25 PM ^
He still has an entire season to change his mind correct? So if LSU’s passing game goes to butt like so many of BK’s have in the past ( losing not only there stud qb but likely 2/3 nfl receivers) and JJ is a heisman finalist without Corum that would change the non money cannon angle.
November 21st, 2023 at 6:13 PM ^
He does. And if he does change his mind, he’ll have countless suitors that still sling the rock more than Michigan does.
This isn’t just a Michigan - LSU comparison. Michigan has had three 3,000 yards passers EVER. No QB has thrown for over 25 TDs. Michigan is at a disadvantage recruiting QBs against virtually all power competition. That doesn’t mean we won’t get a JJ McCarthy every now and then, but it’s an uphill battle every time we get involved in these national recruitments.
November 21st, 2023 at 7:37 PM ^
This is it. Even with McCarthy playing great this year, we’ve seen Michigan go back to ultra conservative the last couple of weeks. I imagine it’s pretty hard to convince a 5 Star QB to come to Michigan to hand off more than he’s going to throw it, and do it in cold weather.
November 21st, 2023 at 4:11 PM ^
I thought Mich had a money cannon.
November 21st, 2023 at 4:20 PM ^
Username checks out....so no, they don't. Sorry, Sam has basically been begging someone in SE Detroit with some business connections to step up for this recruitment and it just never happened. Oh well, we will be fine. Too bad I think he's a difference maker.
November 21st, 2023 at 6:49 PM ^
It's more like a BB gun.
November 21st, 2023 at 5:56 PM ^
Yep, it honestly seemed like something changed early on this season. It went from him coming to campus like every few weeks to I'm not sure if he's been to a game this season and going to LSU like once a month
November 21st, 2023 at 6:28 PM ^
Honestly this recruitment does not bother me. It never really seemed like he wanted to stay home.
We have other options.
And have the portal depending on JJ.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:19 AM ^
I think in this era of college football its not even about Championships anymore for most of these players. Its play where you can put up numbers and raise your stock for the draft, and/or grab a bag.
LSU is a place like that.
November 22nd, 2023 at 3:58 PM ^
Probably has more to do with Jayden Daniels putting up 1000 yards the last two weeks while JJ threw the ball 20 total times for less than 300 yards.
November 21st, 2023 at 3:39 PM ^
Assuming he shows up for the game. His appearance was still in question per Sam Webb's recruiting roundup this morning.
That LSU money cannon will be hard to beat.
Also, keep in mind that Dante Moore might be in play if Chip Kelly is given his walking papers at UCLA.
