LB Coach Chris Partridge Fired
November 17th, 2023 at 12:16 PM ^
Are you just trying to see how many neg’s you can get?
Guinness doesn’t track that particular record, just some obscure group in Switzerland.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:30 AM ^
Is this really just about Stalions - that if other coaches knew about his "network" it's a fireable offense?
This, for the same violation that got a Baylor coach a half-game suspension?
November 17th, 2023 at 11:31 AM ^
Also, how does this work if Partridge wasn't here in 2021 or 2022?
November 17th, 2023 at 11:35 AM ^
If it’s related, it probably means Stallions brought this thing to him after he came on board and he did nothing to stop it. It’s a bummer because Partrige is a great coach and a great story, but I think it’s sort of inevitable given where this thing went.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:49 AM ^
Wasn't Stalions hired in 2022?
November 17th, 2023 at 12:17 PM ^
He was working from home?
November 17th, 2023 at 11:31 AM ^
Partridge probably learned a lot from his time in the SEC.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:35 AM ^
Yep..picked up some SEC sleeze at Ole Miss apparently
November 17th, 2023 at 11:53 AM ^
He is a Jersey guy. In Jersey this just the way things are done.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
The Baylor coach did it one time. Stalions hired others to do it quite a bit. Still think it provides a minor advantage and not a massive one, but I don't think it's really comparable. If Partridge knew and helped, I don't think we should be surprised he's canned.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:41 AM ^
Plus, all the damage to the brand and now we can't say 'just a rogue fanboy analyst,' so more damage.
It strengthens the Head Coach responsibility claim for NCAA. I think UM needed to take the L from the B1G to argue "time served" for JH and save next season.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:31 AM ^
Isiah Hole must have the WORST sources ever
November 17th, 2023 at 11:33 AM ^
all of them - this shows that cost of those subscriptions are just not worth it.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:52 AM ^
exactly. hole was a known joke. this puts webb firmly in that camp now as well...
November 17th, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
Those videos were useless, bumbling nothingness of words for 30 mins.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:36 AM ^
Maybe Partridge was his source
November 17th, 2023 at 11:37 AM ^
he lost a follower today and I hope more follow.. He has zero credibility
November 17th, 2023 at 11:42 AM ^
Just wait on Isiah. Everything will be clear to all of us by 2026.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:42 AM ^
hey, at least he got to shill those gambling sponsorships to more people than normal.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:45 AM ^
It's abundantly clear there are exactly two insiders you can trust now: Sam Webb and JUB.
Everyone else is throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:56 AM ^
this is gold
November 17th, 2023 at 12:04 PM ^
Balsa alluded to someone else involved yesterday
November 17th, 2023 at 12:04 PM ^
Ballas alluded to someone else involved yesterday
November 17th, 2023 at 11:52 AM ^
Grifters gonna grift
November 17th, 2023 at 11:31 AM ^
Well, this makes sense now on why they accepted the suspension. Harbaugh fell on the sword for dumbass decisions by his assistant. Damn.
Still, I am not sure how much of this whole thing is really not meeting the bylaws. We will see.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:31 AM ^
Well there it is.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:32 AM ^
Well, I can't possibly imagine a more capable temporary replacement than Rick Minter. That's dope at least.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:33 AM ^
Well that obviously doesn't seem good. Both for Michigan and for the lone-gunman theory.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
Didn't he just come back this year? I thought he was gone for many years at a school down south
November 17th, 2023 at 11:53 AM ^
Correct, he was at Ole Miss 2020-2022.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
How can everything not be out there yet? This is one of the reasons I'm reserving a lot of anger about being accused of stuff. We still don't know what really happened. Regardless, no advantage in the games happening now, so I still say let the investigation play all the way out and just root for the team on the field.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:43 AM ^
Because we haven't made it to OSU week yet. Next week another coach is going down.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
Because Colson covers grass???
November 17th, 2023 at 11:35 AM ^
Most likely there are going to be a lot of other shoes to drop. That's where this is headed.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:35 AM ^
Well, he did spend some time in the SEC. Is this where the idea came from? /s
November 17th, 2023 at 11:35 AM ^
The only thing I'm disappointed about is we were stupid enough to get caught and maybe (probably?) some coaches lied to the NCAA.
Anything else about Michigan being actual cheaters? Nah this all stems from in-person sign stealing which is NOTHING but a pedantic rule.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:36 AM ^
Sure it's pedantic, but just don't break it. It's not why we're winning, but just don't break the rules, especially ones that don't give you an advantage - there's no upside. Don't take stupid risks. Simple
November 17th, 2023 at 11:42 AM ^
+1. Even if this were legal it'd be dumb from an effort to reward ratio perspective. So much work for minimal advantage.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:47 AM ^
This might not be a popular opinion but it would be nice if Michigan didn't always have to sit so straight on their high horse and had any sort of leeway on these matters. We're trying to compete with programs that are significantly more, let's say "laissez-faire" across the board but if we go anywhere near a rule that others have trampled over, straight to seppuku.
November 17th, 2023 at 12:14 PM ^
I’ve been so down and felt so horrible about this all since day 1. The added shit is just making me feel like it’s going to take a miracle to ever enjoy cfb again. But man, that “straight to seppuku” comment made me laugh hard af for some reason.
November 17th, 2023 at 12:21 PM ^
I agree..when this scandal first came out and it looked like our program was in serious trouble, my first thought was "Well, I'd rather operate in gray areas than be Penn State." Football is war and there are no sportsmanship trophies. People laughed at us when we lost games, but claimed the moral high ground.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:35 AM ^
Why isn't everything out there yet?
November 17th, 2023 at 12:44 PM ^
Exactly. This is an absolute shit show. Michigan Football looks ridiculous right now. What a sad 3 weeks.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:35 AM ^
Probably the worst I’ve felt during this saga. Hopefully this is it.
November 17th, 2023 at 12:15 PM ^
Same here man, same here.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:36 AM ^
I am sure the regents bailed on Harbaugh when they learned Partridge was lying about this. Puts an extension with Harbaugh in doubt.
November 17th, 2023 at 12:02 PM ^
We've spent decades getting to a place where we can compete for national titles, and Ohio State can't beat us on the field but is pathetic enough to hire an investigator to poke around and all they could find was a tiny loose thread in an otherwise very clean program, and Michigan proceeds to yank on that thread until we completely unravel while the other major programs are all sitting there laughing while doing 100x worse? Yeah sounds about right.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:36 AM ^
This is obviously it. The deal is for no more digging.
This was all bullshit. But if you give reason for cops to keep looking they will eventually find something wrong - bullshit or not.
This deal was to stop the looking - hopefully.
November 17th, 2023 at 11:38 AM ^
The NCAA is the entity doing the digging, not the B1G.
November 17th, 2023 at 2:53 PM ^
The Big Ten in their statement yesterday didn’t say they were ending the investigation, they said they would continue to work with the NCAA and the university on the investigation. You’re correct and getting downvoted. Then people wonder why Webb, Hole, and Balas blow sunshine up our rear-ends. It’s because we don’t want the truth and you get attacked if you speak the truth. OSU didn’t hire investigators. Ryan Day’s brother wasn’t involved. There’s no evidence that will clear Michigan and there’s no binder that will sink OSU, but insiders have to put that junk out there so you will keep clicking their links. If they only spoke the truth, they would get blasted and nobody would tune in, but repeat Zach Smith’s troll job accusing Day’s brother and get 10k likes. It’s absurd.
Outside of Michigan it’s reported that Partridge was fired for trying to destroy evidence that links two other coaches, not Partridge. So expect two more people to be fired or at least suspended in the up coming days or weeks. It’s hard to say how quickly everyone will act.
