Is this really just about Stalions - that if other coaches knew about his "network" it's a fireable offense?

This, for the same violation that got a Baylor coach a half-game suspension?

Well, this makes sense now on why they accepted the suspension. Harbaugh fell on the sword for dumbass decisions by his assistant. Damn.

Still, I am not sure how much of this whole thing is really not meeting the bylaws. We will see.

How can everything not be out there yet? This is one of the reasons I'm reserving a lot of anger about being accused of stuff. We still don't know what really happened. Regardless, no advantage in the games happening now, so I still say let the investigation play all the way out and just root for the team on the field.

The only thing I'm disappointed about is we were stupid enough to get caught and maybe (probably?) some coaches lied to the NCAA.

Anything else about Michigan being actual cheaters?  Nah this all stems from in-person sign stealing which is NOTHING but a pedantic rule.

This might not be a popular opinion but it would be nice if Michigan didn't always have to sit so straight on their high horse and had any sort of leeway on these matters.  We're trying to compete with programs that are significantly more, let's say "laissez-faire" across the board but if we go anywhere near a rule that others have trampled over, straight to seppuku.

I agree..when this scandal first came out and it looked like our program was in serious trouble, my first thought was "Well, I'd rather operate in gray areas than be Penn State."  Football is war and there are no sportsmanship trophies.  People laughed at us when we lost games, but claimed the moral high ground.

We've spent decades getting to a place where we can compete for national titles, and Ohio State can't beat us on the field but is pathetic enough to hire an investigator to poke around and all they could find was a tiny loose thread in an otherwise very clean program, and Michigan proceeds to yank on that thread until we completely unravel while the other major programs are all sitting there laughing while doing 100x worse?  Yeah sounds about right.

This is obviously it. The deal is for no more digging.

This was all bullshit. But if you give reason for cops to keep looking they will eventually find something wrong - bullshit or not.

This deal was to stop the looking - hopefully.

The Big Ten in their statement yesterday didn’t say they were ending the investigation, they said they would continue to work with the NCAA and the university on the investigation. You’re correct and getting downvoted. Then people wonder why Webb, Hole, and Balas blow sunshine up our rear-ends. It’s because we don’t want the truth and you get attacked if you speak the truth. OSU didn’t hire investigators. Ryan Day’s brother wasn’t involved. There’s no evidence that will clear Michigan and there’s no binder that will sink OSU, but insiders have to put that junk out there so you will keep clicking their links. If they only spoke the truth, they would get blasted and nobody would tune in, but repeat Zach Smith’s troll job accusing Day’s brother and get 10k likes. It’s absurd.

Outside of Michigan it’s reported that Partridge was fired for trying to destroy evidence that links two other coaches, not Partridge. So expect two more people to be fired or at least suspended in the up coming days or weeks. It’s hard to say how quickly everyone will act.
