What’s your temperature today regarding the allegations?
I know this place is finicky about topics so I’ll eat the downvotes if they come, but I would like to hear how everyone feels this is going to end up. Opinions on the Michigan side seem to vary wildly. I know Brian has expressed his opinion this won’t be a major issue. Chris Balas update seemed a little more concerning, kind of implying that some at UM won’t have Harbaughs back on this and they would have conversations about his future. Seems like Sams site is more optimistic, but that seems par for the course. And of course the national media is all over the place. Lots coming to Harbaughs defense and many claiming it’s an outrageous scandal. So where do you personally think this will all end up?

Although I would add that the video osu sent out with stallions motioning a signal to minter on the sidelines of last years game doesn’t look good. This whole thing is just annoying af
October 24th, 2023 at 2:24 PM ^
OSU scored a TD on that play, FWIW
October 24th, 2023 at 2:31 PM ^
Ha! Forgot about that. Idiots
October 24th, 2023 at 2:31 PM ^
They didn't...score was 7-3 at the time.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:33 PM ^
I think I saw a different clip then
October 24th, 2023 at 2:42 PM ^
Yeah I saw a different one just now. I saw one that was 7-3 but I just saw the one you were talking about and you're right.
But this is the internet so I think I'm supposed to post a meme about how wrong you are anyways

October 24th, 2023 at 3:07 PM ^
I’ve read that it was the first play of the game. Interested in how you know what play that was.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:56 PM ^
Why does that matter? Isn't in game sign stealing NCAA legal?
I haven't seen the clip, maybe I'm missing some context.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:11 PM ^
I wouldn't worry about it. He is their sign-stealing analyst. In that moment, Minter is using him for exactly the purpose he's being paid for as a sign-stealing analyst. It doesn't prove he knew anything about how that knowledge was acquired.
Honestly, I don't care if Harbaugh funded the whole thing, even though I'm sure he didn't. It's college football, bending the rules is part of the game.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:21 PM ^
It was Stalions job to decode signals. These videos and pictures of him on the sidelines mean nothing. It is zero proof he cracked the codes through any other way than legal means. If you see these videos or pictures posted, they should be called out as BS narrative framing and the poster should be disparaged appropriately.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:25 PM ^
Doesn't look good? OSU changed their signals before the game last year, so any intel held by Stalions would be worthless. Is Stalions not allowed on the sideline?
October 24th, 2023 at 3:29 PM ^
Why? It literally proves nothing. A video of him on the sidelines next to a coordinator would be expected, normal, and doesn’t imply anything.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:51 PM ^
Stalions is part of the football staff and has every right to be on the sidelines. Any video of him on the sidelines helping the coaches in any capacity and inferring wrong doing is absurd.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:32 PM ^
New research suggests that 98.6 is not the new normal. It is 97.5 and for those who want to learn more:

Sam Webb this morning seemed to be making a plea for people in the Michigan community to start contacting University folks. I caught the end of the session so perhaps someone can fill in exactly what Sam was suggesting.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:15 PM ^
Solid source, Michigan of the east.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:18 PM ^
Given the "new research" also happens to correlate with "them" dumping mercury thermometers I'm going to guess the thermometer bureaucratic establishment simply used a bad proxy for establishing the baseline temperature at 98.6 and it's actually that all the new-fangled thermometers are off 1.1 degrees.
Your conspiracy theory of the day. You are welcome.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:12 PM ^
I favor using private investigators to dig through every inch of the lives of those targeting Harbaugh and by extension the program just in the spirit of fair competition and individual rights. I favor the light of Day.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:15 PM ^
If by "light of Day," you mean setting Cryan Ryan on fire like a couch in East Lansing, then I'm totally onboard...
October 24th, 2023 at 2:18 PM ^
Same. Assuming they (OSU) were one of the key sources, I'd like their entire football ecosystem to be napalmed, if necessary, in order to get the details. MAD.
As for the-person-of-local-interest-that-shall-not-be-named, I wouldn't mind a little light being shed there, too, as long as it's civil. (A guy can dream.) Speaking of that person, I find it interesting that he'd endorse two very different coaches. There are dots to connect there if you look closely.
October 24th, 2023 at 6:22 PM ^
Say more about the dots... please.
October 24th, 2023 at 6:25 PM ^
Must have been roommates with Drew Sharp.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:13 PM ^
Chill, cracking a beer and enjoying the posts.
EDIT: By the rules this is a secondary violation, if there was even a violation which seems very up in the air at this point, that is being blown up because people are mad their favorite football team lost to us
October 24th, 2023 at 3:03 PM ^
I think if this had happened by itself and there weren't other stemming violations from earlier in the year people wouldn't be as upset. But I think a big concern is that Michigan can be labeled as a "repeat offender" and that it could be used as justification to up these infractions to Level 1.

If the haters ain't hatin' you, you're doing something wrong!
October 24th, 2023 at 2:35 PM ^

Right Ryan? Right Mork? Right Urban?
October 24th, 2023 at 2:14 PM ^
Just kind of sucks man, this team looks great, hate that this is happening.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:38 PM ^
This is where I am. I'm just bummed out that we have to deal with this stuff. I am reading some of the threads about it, but I just can't dive in and spend much time on it. I guess it's a defense mechanism, to keep my sanity.
All I know is they need to keep winning, because it will be worse if we start losing.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:14 PM ^
I want to donate to a fund that spends millions of dollars on private investigators to dig up every piece of dirt possible to burn the osu athletic department to the ground! I don't donate 10 percent of my wages to a church but I would for this!

I find your apparent lack of conventional faith disturbing.
Also, user name really checks out here.

As a Christian, I find your disturbance of an individual Christian's judgement acceptable yet confusing.

This is one term that can't be put back on its pre-2016 shelf soon enough.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:14 PM ^
allegations...? is something going on?
October 24th, 2023 at 2:14 PM ^
venn diagram is strong between people who think this is an absolute scandal and those who believe the 2020 election was stolen.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:30 PM ^
And also blue check marks on Twitter.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:15 PM ^
Where is your data to support your allegation made here?
October 24th, 2023 at 3:31 PM ^
There is none, this should be self-evident. He's trying to make a joke based on his perception that no highly educated Michigan fan could possibly believe the conspiracy theories regarding the 2020 election.
However, I do think it's funny those who would ardently support the bureaucratic state being the bureaucratic state in politics get upset when another branch of the bureaucratic state comes after Michigan.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:37 PM ^
Yeah, trying to get slates of false electors sent to the Electoral College, and the NCAA coming after Michigan over a dubious advantage gained from a tenuous breaking of a dumb rule, are totally the same nothingburger.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:44 PM ^
Joke? Where did he indicate this was a joke? I thought we avoided politics on this blog?
October 24th, 2023 at 3:46 PM ^
The NCAA is part of the bureaucratic state? Now that’s clearly a joke!😉🤣
October 24th, 2023 at 3:31 PM ^
Having a sense of humor.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:25 PM ^
I get more of a "Russian collusion" feeling here. We are being presented with an elaborate conspiracy that will be in the end boil down to some miniscule dollar amount of Facebook ads being bought | A single staffer either knowingly/unknowingly broke a dumb rule.
But it won't stop Buckeye fans from channeling HRC and stating on every forum possible that they would have won if it weren't for those stolen signs/Facebook ads.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:14 PM ^
98.9 and leveling off.
I'm in the waiting game like everyone else. Waiting for the leaksperts @NCAA to give Pete some more worse case bs.
