Crap - sorry. Been awhile since I posted
December 7th, 2022 at 12:16 PM ^
Only about time. Purdue staved it off by upgrading facilities, but he still didn’t do much in a weak division. He’s Louisville’s Harbaugh.
December 7th, 2022 at 4:15 PM ^
Or maybe he’s Louisville’s Scott Frost?
December 7th, 2022 at 7:04 PM ^
This^^ Easier for him to be a success at Purdue. Louisville job is a total crapshoot.
December 7th, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
Brohm is 36-34 at Purdue. Harbaugh was 44-19 with the Niners. How dare you make this comparison!
December 7th, 2022 at 11:39 AM ^
Can we portal that freshman RB? Good dude.
December 7th, 2022 at 11:39 AM ^
you got a source/link?
December 7th, 2022 at 11:40 AM ^
Dang. I actually enjoyed having him in the B1G. A fun scheme to watch.
December 7th, 2022 at 11:42 AM ^
Worth much more than 95 M $$$
December 7th, 2022 at 12:49 PM ^
Agreed. He definitely helped Purdue overachieve.
December 7th, 2022 at 1:35 PM ^
Not surprised he's leaving. He had to know his ceiling was about to get much lower.
December 7th, 2022 at 3:49 PM ^
Yeah agreed, sort of bummed he'll be leaving because they did a lot with what they had under Brohm. That fake flea flicker was sick.
December 7th, 2022 at 11:41 AM ^
Not suprised seemed like he wanted the job last time it opened up.
December 7th, 2022 at 12:37 PM ^
I imagine he saw how many Purdue fans showed up for the Big Ten championship game even though it was their first time ever there and in the same State that they live in, and said “if they don’t care why should I?”
December 7th, 2022 at 12:55 PM ^
I dunno man, the broadcast made it look like plenty of them showed up.
December 7th, 2022 at 1:13 PM ^
I was there. It was at least 70% Michigan. It was incredible. Like being at a home game except 50,000 less people.
December 7th, 2022 at 3:42 PM ^
It looked like a ton of Michigan fans on TV. Purdue seemed to have half of one end zone, but they rarely showed a full shot.
December 7th, 2022 at 4:33 PM ^
I was there too (and last year). Iowa had 10x more fans last year than Purdue did, even though Purdue is roughly an hour from Indy lol
December 7th, 2022 at 1:07 PM ^
How bad was it really?
December 7th, 2022 at 1:11 PM ^
seemed like a helluva lot more purdue fans this year than iowa last year.
December 7th, 2022 at 1:27 PM ^
That's not really saying much.
December 7th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
As someone from KY I'm not sure Louisville fans will show out any better. Ya gotta understand, people are hurting, several hundred to multiple thousands of dollars to go watch your team get walloped by Michigan in what is almost a guaranteed loss isn't most normal peoples idea of a good time.
December 7th, 2022 at 11:41 AM ^
Can't blame him for heading home.
December 7th, 2022 at 11:41 AM ^
Unsure if this is thread-worthy, but Michigan just offered a transfer TE from Cal Poly Josh Cuevas
December 7th, 2022 at 12:42 PM ^
He’s generating a lot of interest with A lot of the pac 12 schools offering too.
December 7th, 2022 at 11:42 AM ^
Louisvileé sounds French. To that I say, au revoir.
December 7th, 2022 at 12:01 PM ^
Actually, Louisville is already French. In French, "ville" means town, and Louis is the French spelling of Lewis.
Furthermore, if there is an accent over an "e" at the end of a word with two e's, the accent is over the first "e."
The More You Know!
December 7th, 2022 at 12:18 PM ^
Purdue is also pretty much French. "Perdue," believe it or not, is the French verb "to have lost" (past participle conjugation of perdre, "to lose")...
December 7th, 2022 at 6:59 PM ^
So it's a verb Ohio State knows quite a lot about after playing Michigan recently.
December 7th, 2022 at 12:24 PM ^
The locals down there pronounce their town a Lou-a-vul. They say vul quickly so it sounds more like vl. Named after King Lou-a.
December 7th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
Can confirm, I lived there for several years. It takes a while to get the correct pronunciation with a midwestern “twang”
December 7th, 2022 at 1:08 PM ^
Versailles?
Speaking of pronunciation & the state, when I was in Versailles, Kentucky, I learned that though it's named after the French Palace of Versailles, it's pronounced vur-sails.
December 7th, 2022 at 1:34 PM ^
Got one of those on Ohio. A worse offender in the area is Russia... Pronounced "Roo-shee".
December 7th, 2022 at 1:55 PM ^
Lake Orion says “Hi!”
December 7th, 2022 at 2:28 PM ^
And Cairo, Illinois as kay-row
December 7th, 2022 at 4:19 PM ^
We have more than one in Ohio. Milan is pronounced My-lan.
December 7th, 2022 at 4:46 PM ^
Bobby Plump says hello from Indiana.
December 7th, 2022 at 1:11 PM ^
Louie Lou-a, oh no...we gotta go. ah ya ya yayaya.
December 7th, 2022 at 2:16 PM ^
But how does Brian Kelly pronounce it?
December 7th, 2022 at 12:28 PM ^
I worked in Louisville a little and visited there several times. It's funny that the locals pronounce it "Loo-eh-vull", with their southern accent, and not "Loo-eee-vill" like most "Yankees" would.
The More You Know!
December 7th, 2022 at 12:39 PM ^
In the deep south, we also say it the way the Louisville locals say it. "Loo-eee-vill" sounds weird.
December 7th, 2022 at 1:03 PM ^
Louis is ALSO the French spellling of Louis.*
* Louisville was named after King Louis XVI of France.
December 7th, 2022 at 2:20 PM ^
Whatever... I'm still working on La Jolla.
December 7th, 2022 at 2:29 PM ^
Have a holly time.

December 7th, 2022 at 11:44 AM ^
Does Purdue look at Leonard now?
December 7th, 2022 at 11:53 AM ^
This was my immediate thought as well.
December 7th, 2022 at 12:06 PM ^
I doubt it, and don't think they should. They've really been much more successful when they hire innovative, offensive-minded HCs.
If I'm Purdue, I'm begging Garrett Riley, Tyson Helton, Ryan Grubb, Rhett Lashlee, or someone along those lines.
