One more game to improve the passing game before The Game
Yes, Michigan creamed Nebraska and won.
Yes, some good passes were made.
Yes, Michigan is an excellent team.
But the passing game is middling, and there is now only one game left to improve it before The Game.
With luck, we won't need a great passing game. But if we need it and don't have it, it's going to suck because we have the right players to be good at it.
Maybe it just isn't possible to be great at passing and running, because you get only so much practice. If so, Michigan made the right choice so far given the results. But I wish Michigan could be as great as it is with running and have a good passing game as well.

Yes but there are already over 100 comments in that thread and if the OP just posted “we have one more game to get the passing game right” there most people won’t know he thinks we have one more game to get the passing game right.
Posts like this are EXACTLY why the snowflake threads were created. The board used to be littered with “MY VERY IMPORTANT THOUGHTS ON THINGS” threads once the game ended.

I'm obviously not as frequent a poster as you, but personally I enjoy talking about people's football hot takes. Kind of why I'm here.
I'm not saying no snowflake threads, but this has to be the only football forum where football takes are so aggressively policed.

Not the point.
Rather the purpose of the snowflake threads is to consolidate the noise.
This is noise. That's why it's policed.

I wish I had $50 million, a 14 inch dick, and a blonde with big tits.
Mick and Keith taught me: You cant always get what you want...
Be happy with our team and 10-0 start, my man...

The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she cums, stays, lays, or prays…whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'.

We are what we are. 10-0. That means we’ve won 10 games with what we have. It’s not gonna change miraculously in the last two games. It’s been a great season. Just soak it in, we rarely see these

10-0 is great, and I love it.
I bet they are never stopping the process of working to be better, not matter how good at the moment, though. Every week, the team has is opportunities to improve. Practice, adjustments, etc.

But, shouldn’t people evaluate and assess Michigan’s losses?
Oh, there aren’t any. I get your point.
November 13th, 2022 at 1:43 AM ^
Indeed.
OSU has only one more game to improve their rushing game too.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:30 AM ^
I hope they don't succeed at that. :)

I dont like stroud getting extra practice in the cold.
November 13th, 2022 at 8:30 AM ^
We did not beat Stroud last year because of the weather.
We beat him because we had Hutchinson and Ojabo, and Stroud sucks under pressure.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:21 AM ^
Well they did just rush for 340 yards on 8 yards a carry and played half the game with their 4th/5th string RBs.

Against INDIANA
November 13th, 2022 at 12:10 PM ^
And only 1 more game to improve their defensive line. and It won't be happening.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:50 AM ^
I feel like JJ tries to be perfect and lead the WR....Mr JJ, hear me...if it's 1 on 1, just moonball it up there and trust your WR to make the play or not let the DB make the play...tap tap tap-a-roo

It is really hard to tell where the shortcomings are in regards to the passing game. Is it JJ or are the receivers that bad at making moves and getting separation, or are the pass plays just that bad. Watching college football all day it is crazy how many of the top programs are able to get receivers breaking into the open. It seems like so many times everyone we have in patterns are blanketed. I'd love to be able to see actual game film to decipher what's broken. Hopefully Devin and Al will shed some light on it this week.

It's all just a bit off. JJ's a little off -- losing Schoon and not having Edwards as much has not helped that, either. Receivers are not getting separation and are dropping balls. Scheme could be better as far as getting players open.
That said, we are clearly focusing on the intricacies of the best run game in the nation most of all in practice. And it's working -- we're 10-0 and that rocks. Can't be too upset with that, and I'm ecstatic that it's a great season.
Beat Illinois and OSU.

It could be there are open receivers other than where the ball is being thrown to.
November 13th, 2022 at 1:42 PM ^
Mostly JJ, imo. He just keeps missing, not by a lot, but by enough.
November 13th, 2022 at 1:45 PM ^
I think M should focus more on the intermediate passing game where JJ has had success. We tried to hit the deep stuff two weeks in a row now against inferior defenses it's not working, OSU isn't afraid of it, it isn't going to work against OSU.
I trust JJ to hit an open receiver 35 yards down field, I don't think you can bring up both safeties and only defend the run. We really don't need the super long ball threat to avoid being one-dimensional.

This is where I’m at too. Will help to get Schoon back of course; and more Roman, less CoJo
