I would suggest also reading eleven warriors’ take. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/college-football/2022/10/133899/the-threat-level-has-finally-been-raised-after-michigan-destroys-penn-state-in-ann-arbor?amp

Fuck 11 Warriors and their Urban apologetic manure of a blog. You would think the threat level would have been raised after we kicked the shit out of them last year.
October 17th, 2022 at 11:21 PM ^
This.
It's clear the threat level has been raised for a while now. I enjoy the blog with less of their sycophant fanbase present. I guess they have somewhere between 42 and 27 reasons to stay away.

Second place is the first loser.

If you ain't first, you're last.

LOL... "It was the kind of encounter that should have ended with yellow police tape surrounding the crime scene and about 40 different chalk outlines of Penn State’s defensive line strewn across the field."

A great piece of writing, until the stupid last sentence, which was a OSU slappy fan writing it.

I watched their show this afternoon and their doubts were primarily about JJ’s ability to throw downfield and whether our DBs have been tested enough on deep balls.
October 17th, 2022 at 11:11 PM ^
In other words, the same questions everyone was pelting Cade with. The difference is that JJ makes the run game harder to stop in ways that Cade didn't. Michigan's coaching staff the last two years seems to have a big picture process in mind, and the offense is rapidly getting better. I do wish they'd scrap some of the under center stuff that is super predictable, but that's about it.

Except cade couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn this year, his ball location to the receivers to the ground or stopping them rather than hitting them in stride for YAC and got to them a full beat later than JJ based on arm talent, you’re correct, exactly the same issues - NOT

Well, he is writing for the slappy bucknut fans, not just us.

As much as I want to dislike that last comment, it was an embarrassing end to an embarrassing season, amid a uniquely challenging time. I really don't even want to think about what The Game would have looked like that year. Regardless, it seems something shifted in Coach, and the team on the field since is finally living out his vision. I would love to see Corum repeat Haskins performance next month. Go Blue!

Brad Robbins didn’t put any of his punts inside the 20-yard line, but that tends to happen when you never actually have to punt.
Did Brad Robbins write this??

Ok this was good:
Edwards followed a hole so large and empty that there is now a Spirit Halloween there.
October 17th, 2022 at 9:17 PM ^
That Spirit Halloween line made me 😆
October 17th, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
A little snarky about the defense, and a cheap shot about the covid cancellation. Those are a little out of character. I think they're starting to feel the heat.

Great title. What can a TOSU fan say? My observation is that TOSU is starting to take UM more seriously. I also really hope that JJ gets the long passing game over the top in order.
October 17th, 2022 at 9:26 PM ^
Negged for "TOSU" - c/mon, man!!! Don't give them the respect they want...
October 17th, 2022 at 11:23 PM ^
Sarcasm doesn't translate well in posts. My saying "TOSU" highlights the utter absurdity of the practice. What kinda idiots would say "THE Ohio State University." They are so cluelessly unaware of how insecure they must be to say such a thing. Whatever. As I said, sarcasm is impossible to read in a post.

Go Staee!
October 17th, 2022 at 9:49 PM ^
It’s either plain old “OSU” or, if you must, “an OSU”.
October 18th, 2022 at 7:16 AM ^
you could also go all lowercase “osu” for an extra level of petty disrespect. I’ve been spelling it that way for a while now!
October 17th, 2022 at 9:24 PM ^
This made me LOL: “Edwards followed a hole so large and empty that there is now a Spirit Halloween there.”

Red Rover, Red Rover, send Clifford the Big Red Dog right over…to the Woodchipper. Bwahahaha.

When Michigan was on defense, Penn State’s offense was pushed back more often than Chinese Democracy.
grimace dot emoji (but kind of true)
October 18th, 2022 at 11:33 AM ^
It's absolutely true though. Axl Rose delayed that album for DECADES.
...I don't understand the "grimace.emoji". Did you not get the reference? To be fair, it's pretty dated.
October 18th, 2022 at 5:38 PM ^
Pope there was another comment in place of yours that I don’t see anymore expanding on the 1989 struggle in China. I commented that I’m pretty sure MM was talking about the GNR album and not actual China. But those comments are gone now.

He is getting snarkier! They are worried down south!
October 18th, 2022 at 12:34 AM ^
Very nice writing in that piece.
I also watched a couple of their recent Youtube videos, which were also good.

"This is everything a fan of this rivalry could hope for."
I respect these guys. Their criticism of our red-zone offense is, for now, worth noting. And their questions about JJ, which the rest of us have had (how durable will he prove if he has to run it 12 times? just how mistake-prone might he prove under bigger pressure?) are going to linger.
I love the fact that we've got a bye and four games to get ready for OSU. That's a lot of time for refinement. I wonder if we'll air it out against Illinois to keep the backs fresh?
