Of course he is going to say that.
If you were Tom Brady's agent would you want him to retire?
LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU.

Good point... would pretty sad to see that long of a gravy train end.

Don Yee is one of the top agents in football. While I’m sure it sucks, he’ll be just fine.
January 29th, 2022 at 6:07 PM ^
The gravy train isn't ending. There are still endorsement deals to be negotiated and a public brand/image to be maintained for the foreseeable future.
January 29th, 2022 at 6:16 PM ^
Tom Brady Senior is also saying the same thing about his son.
January 29th, 2022 at 7:42 PM ^
He gets a 15 million dollar bonus February 4th. It seems he's just waiting until then. That's my guess anyway.
January 29th, 2022 at 8:34 PM ^
and $15MM to brady is like lunch money to you and i.
January 29th, 2022 at 11:48 PM ^
Brady is rich, but not so rich that he wouldn't want to pocket an extra 15 million.

On another note, his last TD pass was thrown into the stands.
Oh, to be the fan that got it.

He posted on LinkedIn about #keepgoing literally 4 hours ago…

Just give us one last year Tom, so we can all say a proper goodbye.
January 29th, 2022 at 5:15 PM ^
But the World Wide Leader said he was!
January 29th, 2022 at 5:21 PM ^
Perhaps. But then even his TB 12 appears to have jumped the gun.

(* Full disclosure, an Adam Schefter spoof account. But hilarious if you read the entire comment and are familiar with the reference.)
January 29th, 2022 at 8:46 PM ^
oh man, there is some funny stuff on there. this one is awesome. it was a comment that said, 'brian kelly at notre dame' and showed a picture of the pope, and then said, 'brian kelly at LSU' and had this dandy:
that is good humor.

The plot thickens!

Wait, you mean to tell me ESPN might have done some shoddy reporting? I'm shocked.
I always assumed Brady was going to play one more year; he's talked about wanting to play to 45 and that's next season. The Bucs don't have a ton of upside in terms of cap (they've got around $19M), but that's enough to pick up a couple of pieces and maybe you get some veterans who are willing to take a bit less to play for a title. I mean, if Rodgers is done in GB and the Rams seem to be all-in for this season and will look much different next year, there's a path for the Bucs to compete for a title next year if Brady still feels he can go. I don't know how he feels about those options but it's not like the Bucs lack talent.
January 29th, 2022 at 5:55 PM ^
This is the perfect example of the silly crap that happens in the race for fame, fortune, and clicks.
January 29th, 2022 at 6:19 PM ^
"Sources said" ESPN is doubling down on reporting it while leaving out this new information.
January 29th, 2022 at 7:20 PM ^
Whole front page of ESPN.com is acting as if the original report is the last word. Nothing about contradictory information at all. It's... interesting.
January 29th, 2022 at 7:48 PM ^
It is crazy how they're sticking to that story despite, again, the Bucs HC AND Brady's dad and agent all saying "no decision yet". Like, it may well be that Brady is going to retire but when important people in the story are saying "not yet" it's weird to just ignore it. I know there have been others saying it's about timing and he's going to but hasn't formally announced it, but Brady seems like a guy who has a close-knit circle of people and can let the media know what he wants them to know; for this to leak out this early seems weird.
Unless this is just because ESPN doesn't want to admit that Schefter or whomever just jumped the gun and they didn't do enough follow-up to confirm.
January 29th, 2022 at 9:28 PM ^
And why shouldn't they? No consequences if they're dead wrong and they get to do the same stories with all the clicks again a year from now or whenever he actually retires.
January 29th, 2022 at 6:34 PM ^
Media had to get the story out so fast they forgot to check with Tom Brady…..smh
January 29th, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
He’s waiting to see what Harbaugh does so he can become the next head coach.

I feel like Brady might come back now just to f*** with ESPN.

If someone can take this picture and put him in a winged helmet, i would buy that poster.
