Bravo to Jim for making the changes needed last offseason to get us here. Bravo to the entire coaching staff for staying aggressive and having this team ready for this victory!
November 27th, 2021 at 5:33 PM ^
Bravo indeed! Now if only our University's marketing department/ administration had even a smidgen of vision to show off our brilliant school during the half-time ad they've been running all season. I have no idea who they're talking to, or what they're selling. Michigan is not a community college with local outreach as its dominant mission, and most M students do not look like sagging 40-year-olds. Such a wasted opportunity with every national broadcast, just embarrassing. And does nothing to inspire alumni to "gift" to the school.
November 27th, 2021 at 5:46 PM ^
This is the dumbest post I've ever seen.
UM wins the biggest game of the year, and you complain about marketing instead of lauding the effort and coaching?!
Your blue hairs are showing, and no, I will NOT sit down because I'm too deliriously happy and NOT worrying about marketing. Nobody gives a F about your donation-willingness!
Is this a troll? This has to be trolling.

I chose Michigan over Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, USC, and the University of Wisconsin. And wasn't because of no damn commercial.
November 27th, 2021 at 9:45 PM ^
I chose the Residential College at Michigan over Vanderbilt, Carleton College, Rhodes College, and Oberlin. Also not b/c of a commercial. I did it b/c it was the best school.
November 27th, 2021 at 9:59 PM ^
Those are some ok school Gustavo, but I chose Michigan over
- Harvard University. Harvard University. ...
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology. ...
- Stanford University. ...
- University of California, Berkeley. ...
- University of Oxford. ...
- Columbia University. ...
- University of Washington, Seattle. ...
- University of Cambridge.
Beat that buddy.
November 28th, 2021 at 2:54 AM ^
I chose Michigan over
- being the first man to step foot on the moon
- taking over Apple when Steve Jobs died
- investing in Tesla
- taking the role of Kevin in Home Alone 1 AND 2
- defeating Thanos with the snap of my finger
- intercepting Russell Wilson in the end zone at the Super Bowl
- firing Harbaugh at the end of 2020
Beat that ya little trout sniffer
November 28th, 2021 at 2:21 PM ^
why the down votes ? This is obvious sarcasm amirite ?
November 28th, 2021 at 4:07 PM ^
For one obvious reason: You must have been an in-state student.

FIRE HARBAUGH
November 27th, 2021 at 4:00 PM ^
Win “The Game” and all sins are forgiven! Jimmy, you were 7 years late, but I could care less! You did it and that is all that matters! First round is on me boys!
November 27th, 2021 at 5:43 PM ^
We won in 2016.
November 27th, 2021 at 9:30 PM ^
Maybe in your heart
November 27th, 2021 at 9:57 PM ^
We won in reality. Just not in the REF’S hearts.
November 27th, 2021 at 10:35 PM ^
That 2016 game is one of the biggest ref screw-jobs I’ve ever witnessed.
November 27th, 2021 at 11:35 PM ^
I just watched the 2016 game highlights on YouTube. I remembered the spot, but had forgotten about Speight’s pick 6 and fumble on the OSU two yard line. Games that are lost like that one and the muffed punt snap MSU have little do with the coach, but Harbaugh has had to wear them anyway. He’s never deserved the Fire Harbaugh’s!
November 28th, 2021 at 7:48 AM ^
You are correct Oracle, and also the play before the spot where M players had them for a 15 yard loss and could not tackle.
November 28th, 2021 at 11:24 AM ^
You couldn't care less, but I agree. Go Blue!
November 27th, 2021 at 7:36 PM ^
Is it safe to say that Don Brown was the weak link?
November 27th, 2021 at 11:21 PM ^
You can but this was the consummate team win.
November 28th, 2021 at 2:39 AM ^
This. All of this.
November 27th, 2021 at 3:39 PM ^
Where all the Harbaugh haters at now?
GO BLUE!
November 27th, 2021 at 4:01 PM ^
I was never a hater, just a non-believer!
Thankful he proved me wrong! I now dare to believe!
November 27th, 2021 at 6:00 PM ^
Yeah and where are all the folks who kept saying "This is a 6-6 team at best?"
Brian, I'm looking in your direction.
November 27th, 2021 at 6:06 PM ^
I own that prediction. I am beyond surprised at how a new, relatively inexperienced, staff came together with Harbaugh to fix glaring problems in the program. Harbaugh evolved this program in ways most people can’t evolve their organizations. I’m so excited.
November 27th, 2021 at 6:53 PM ^
Listen, I count myself among the optimist crowd but I think people not expecting this win was reasonable. Let Brian enjoy this.
November 27th, 2021 at 6:26 PM ^
Jim Harbaugh should be Coach of the Year in the Big Ten, and a finalist nationally. What he and his staff have done is phenomenal.
I'm ecstatic to have been so ridiculously wrong in my prediction for the game.
November 27th, 2021 at 10:39 PM ^
I said "a storm is brewing...Michigan 52, OSU 24". Fuck me if this game didn't feel like it was actually that. Michigan was within a pube hair of blowing the shit wide open and dropping a 50 burger, if not more, on the Day boys.
November 28th, 2021 at 4:46 PM ^
Same here. When I saw the spread was 8.5 in favor of OSU, I figured if Michigan could lose by less, it would be a moral victory I could live with. That would still mean a 10-2 record, which was far better than the 8-4 I predicted at the start of the season.
Never have I been so glad to show that I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground.
GO BLUE!
November 27th, 2021 at 6:38 PM ^
You've been beating the drum of positivity all year and I respect the hell out of it.
November 27th, 2021 at 11:10 PM ^
Hell yea, DB deserves some damn upvotes! Even I, an optimist, thought he was crazy with his pie-in-the-sky predictions but dammit if he isn't the 2nd coming of THE_KNOWLEDGE! Go Blue!
November 27th, 2021 at 10:14 PM ^
He won this game.
His coaching will still put us in position to lose games like Nebraska, MSU, Penn State. We pulled two of those out of the fire and gave one away. I applaud him for the massive changes this offseason, and the overall attitude change of the team. He won THIS game and it was beautiful and brilliant. He is still very flawed.
November 28th, 2021 at 12:15 AM ^
I'll own up to it -- I was a Harbaugh hater. For years, he wouldn't innovate. For a couple years, he didn't even seem engaged with the team or with the games.
But he's done what he's had to do.
He's brought in better coaches and slotted current ones into excellent places. Mike Hart for the RBs. Sherrone Moore for the OL. Steve Clinkscale for the DBs. Ron Bellamy on the staff. Jay Harbaugh continues to make a positive impact.
He's improved his in-game coaching. The playcalling -- however that's happening -- has improved.
Also, I was a 6-6 / 7-5 guy. But this team is light years from 2020, and has a better culture than any team in the Harbaugh era. A lot of it starts with Aidan. He came back when he didn't have to. That's what we need -- that kind of example. That kind of leadership. The elites do it -- they convince their stars to come back. And some do. It was mentioned in another post maybe a week ago. This team has great student leadership.
So a rejuvenated Harbaugh. A retooled coaching staff firing on all cylinders. And players united behind leaders and feeling like they would give it all for each other. The team, the team, the team.
How anyone isn't on Harbaugh's side now is beyond me. Let's fucking go.
November 28th, 2021 at 4:16 PM ^
I have the uppermost respect for so many of the folks on this site who seem to have a substantial knowledge of football, certainly more than me.
However, the gang bang of Harbaugh at the end of last year exposed a lack of knowledge in this matter. Most of them wanted Matt Campbell, whose Iowa State Cyclones were ranked in the Top Ten at the beginning of the year. Not so much in the season, finishing 7 - 5 and not ranked in the Top 25.

Probably the best coached game in the entire Harbaugh era, and the results showed that.
November 27th, 2021 at 4:03 PM ^
Also the most Harbaugh-like win, by being tougher and running the ball. We thought we'd get that five years ago but I'll take it now.
November 28th, 2021 at 12:48 PM ^
Gattis also left his fingerprints everywhere. This game was the promised Harbaugh plus modern spread concepts we hoped for when signing Gattis.
November 27th, 2021 at 5:51 PM ^
It might be cliché, but we just wanted it more. The coches, the players, and even the fans in the stands who helped disrupt the Buckeye offense.
November 27th, 2021 at 6:02 PM ^
I'm just hoping it means we get a OSU UFR this year
November 27th, 2021 at 3:39 PM ^

November 28th, 2021 at 12:29 AM ^
Just some hairless nuts kicked around Michigan Stadium for a few hours. Other than that, nothing major.

I was wrong.
What a game. Everybody. Every element. Gattis. Macdonald.
And Harbaugh.

stephenrjking. I was with you. I didn’t believe that extending Harbaugh would work out. I have never been more happy to be more wrong. Go Blue!

I said the same thing. I own it. But this game is all that matters. Thank you Jimmy. 7 years was worth the wait.
