#14 in AP poll also

To hell with Notre Dame.
They aren't Big Ten.
That said I do think we're ranked a bit high, not much, but a little.
September 26th, 2021 at 2:10 PM ^
They're not even ACC!
September 26th, 2021 at 2:27 PM ^
We're certainly not better than Coastal Carolina.
September 26th, 2021 at 6:08 PM ^
Agreed 100%. If Michigan and coastal Carolina played today, Michigan would lose 49-0.

Have you seen CC play? Maybe you have and we just saw just different things, but IMO, they'd be a lower-tier Big Ten team or at best a WMU. Their schedule has been a joke and the team just isn't that athletic compared to us.

Diablos! Number one!

I think 18 or 19 would be about right for this team.

I guess the question is: "Is Rutgers good?
September 26th, 2021 at 2:47 PM ^
Hard to tell just how good they are, but I think it’s fair to say that they’re well coached.
September 26th, 2021 at 3:17 PM ^
They are well coached, especially against stubborn coaches that try to run up the middle eleventeen times is a row. A few more wins and we’ll see them in the “others receiving votes” part of the poll. They should go bowling this year (good for them and the B1G).
September 26th, 2021 at 3:14 PM ^
The next two weeks will be telling with OSU and MSU at home.
September 26th, 2021 at 6:09 PM ^
The answer is “They’re Rutgers.”
September 27th, 2021 at 12:30 PM ^
How the hell, based on their on field product, is Clemson ranked? They should even be in the receiving votes category. There is no other 2-loss team even close to the top 25.
September 26th, 2021 at 2:20 PM ^
The only B1G East team to not receive any votes was Indiana.
September 26th, 2021 at 2:28 PM ^
they received 2 points in the vote
September 26th, 2021 at 2:28 PM ^
They received 2

The Big Ten should get rid of the divisions. The West is never going to be as good as the East. Look at the population of the two halves of the conference and the number of elite recruits that come out of each. Do it like basketball where there are no divisions and you have a couple protected rivalry games. If you want to have a championship game, fine, but just take the top two teams already.
September 26th, 2021 at 4:07 PM ^
Uh, Indiana received votes and Rutgers also exists as an East division team.
September 26th, 2021 at 2:33 PM ^
My lord why....
September 26th, 2021 at 3:39 PM ^
Well, see... they won the game this past weekend.
September 26th, 2021 at 3:57 PM ^
Who do you replace them with?
September 26th, 2021 at 2:47 PM ^
Even though we looked suspect in the 2nd half, so many lost in front of us that we couldn’t help but move up with a win. I need McCarthy to get a couple series on the road at Whiskey.
September 26th, 2021 at 3:34 PM ^
Well deserved.
Beat the Badgers
September 26th, 2021 at 6:10 PM ^
Well deserved? This team is terrible.
September 26th, 2021 at 6:34 PM ^
UM isn’t terrible, terrible teams don’t start 4-0. We’re somewhere between decent & good…I think a lot of people overreacted to the positive side with the way the 3-0 start happened, and I think a lot of people are overreacting to the negative side with an ugly win. If someone wants to be optimistic, who cares, let them. People don’t always have to have the same view on things
