College Hoops Thread
Figured I would try to start a thread about a sport where our favorite team actually has a chance to succeed this year.
Kentucky was beaten today by the Richmond Spiders. I love how Juwan is getting surefire one and done players but also dipping into the 2-3 year top 100 talent as well. UK replaces their roster every year and it shows.
Ohio State was taken to the last 3 minutes today as well. I didnt think they looked that good to be honest.
Villanova lost last night to Virginia Tech.
I think its gonna be a wide open year this year. The lack of crowds at home arenas makes a lot of difference and eliminates the home environment advantage. The NCAA tournament will be interesting of they play in one city and no fans.
Any thoughts on these topics, today's starting lineup or anything else that doesn't involve another redundant hot take about Michigan football would be appreciated.

No real home court advantage is going to make this a wild ride this year
November 29th, 2020 at 5:39 PM ^
Good point but maybe not how you meant. I hope this season is closely scrutinized and studied on how officials call/officate games -and obviously compared to seasons past.
November 29th, 2020 at 5:43 PM ^
I think we already saw in the NBA this take fold with the officials. A lot less home cooking
November 29th, 2020 at 6:23 PM ^
It means the refs don't have to worry about being afraid of the crowd.
November 29th, 2020 at 5:23 PM ^
Lose one game in College Football and you're done. Lose 12-15 games in College Hoops and you're still alive!
Go Blue!

Top 40 2019 C Will Baker just entered the transfer portal from Texas. Had a disappointing freshman year but could be an interesting transfer option if he has to sit a year. Could slot in nicely as a back up center considering Davis will have graduated and Diabate is likely a one and done
November 29th, 2020 at 5:32 PM ^
Was there any prior interest there on Michigan's end? I have to admit I just dont remember the name.
November 29th, 2020 at 5:41 PM ^
No Michigan offer, but the 2019 class was also basically pre-Juwan
November 29th, 2020 at 6:25 PM ^
Does he want to transfer to be a back up?
November 29th, 2020 at 5:26 PM ^
Does anyone have a stream for this game? Thank you to whoever does!
November 29th, 2020 at 5:58 PM ^
Need to login with a TV provider. Haven't found a different stream yet.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:54 PM ^
Sorry to get back this late, but I was waiting for the "official" game thread.
I'm using the Strnoid stream, but the others should work.

Juwan Howard is turning out at the top of my expectations right now and I love watching them. To go from Beilein to this is almost being spoiled.
November 29th, 2020 at 5:32 PM ^
this must be what being an OSU football fan feels like.. hated this joke even as I typed it.
November 29th, 2020 at 5:29 PM ^
Looking forward to the game vs. OU tonight! I know OU is in total disarray due to COVID, but will be fun to watch Juwan's team and get back to enjoying watching a Michigan team on the TV tonight.
Will be interested to see if some of the young kids get some extended time tonight. Dickinson looks like a day 1 impactful contributor. Terrance Williams I believe is going to be a great player and he'll play valuable minutes as the season develops and he settles in. Zeb looked a little bit like deer in the headlights in game one, but I expect he'll be a good player down the road and will be valuable to get him out there tonight and let the game slow down for him a little bit.
UK is always gonna drop 1 or 2 early in the season because their roster turnover every season. Richmond has a history of being a pretty god team as is. Fingers crossed we see some kind of CBB post season this year!.. fingers very crossed
November 29th, 2020 at 5:33 PM ^
I agree, I think the youngsters need some time in these first several contests. 8 our first 10 are at home and don't really play anyone awesome during that stretch. We will need them all next year.

Josh Christopher looks pretty fucking fantastic for ASU.
November 29th, 2020 at 5:50 PM ^
Probably made the best business decision for himself. ASU just has 3-4 guys who iso. He would've actually had to play basketball as a team if he came to Michigan
November 29th, 2020 at 6:04 PM ^
Also got the sense that once he gets the ball it’s not leaving his hands. That’ll only go so far with teammates.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:46 PM ^
yep. he's damn good. Would have been nice to have him on the squad, but bittersweet as well cause this year is going be a cluster fuck. As it's turning out, looks like we'll be okay without him
November 29th, 2020 at 6:02 PM ^
San Francisco beat #4 Virginia on Friday too. It's going to be chaos all year
November 29th, 2020 at 6:02 PM ^
Rutgers is so stupid, they keep shooting early in the clock...waste time assholes, so I can watch my team, sheesh!
November 29th, 2020 at 6:05 PM ^
Thank goodness this stupid Rutgers game ended before the M tip
November 29th, 2020 at 6:14 PM ^
Wagner looked soft there
November 29th, 2020 at 6:21 PM ^
Yup, wicked unathletic there.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:14 PM ^
We see you country ?
November 29th, 2020 at 6:15 PM ^
Davis off to a nice start.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:18 PM ^
Putting team on back right now.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:17 PM ^
Not a good start, Brooks, Livers and Wagner need to be better at the start of games.
Oakland has been getting beaten up pretty good, they shouldn't be hanging with us no matter how early.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:19 PM ^
It’s pretty early. Still would like to take control during this next segment. Like to see Chauncey.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:22 PM ^
It's 5min in. All is okay. They've made a couple decent shots.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:20 PM ^
Defense once again is awful
November 29th, 2020 at 6:29 PM ^
People like you should not ever be allowed to post
November 29th, 2020 at 6:43 PM ^
Michigan is not playing well so far tonight. They are getting beat off the dribble a lot, missing open 3’s, and turning it over at a high rate. Oakland just lost 101-49 on Wednesday. Does every poster have to say 35-0 National Champs for it to be ok by you?
November 29th, 2020 at 6:51 PM ^
I'm just tired of all you crybabies clogging up this message board with your whiny ass posts.
November 29th, 2020 at 7:04 PM ^
I don’t whine on here. I stated 3 fucking facts. Your inability to be objective is ridiculous. Your reactions to statements that have been true about this game so far are comical.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:21 PM ^
Looks like another game where the opponent has someone that gets hot from 3.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:22 PM ^
Always seems to happen....
November 29th, 2020 at 6:22 PM ^
Open 3’s are on the menu against this zone
November 29th, 2020 at 6:24 PM ^
Too many turnovers.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:56 PM ^
Understatement of the millenium
November 29th, 2020 at 6:25 PM ^
Wagner sucks so far.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:27 PM ^
Obviously, the season's early, but he sure hasn't lived up to the hype in his year+ at M.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:48 PM ^
The sooner the fans start rejecting the BS unfounded, constant hype from the detroit media, the more realistic this place will become.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:36 PM ^
Your posting sucks
November 29th, 2020 at 6:36 PM ^
He is just forcing it is all.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:31 PM ^
After the inspired performances by the football and hockey teams, I’m glad to see the basketball team came to play! ?
November 29th, 2020 at 6:32 PM ^
They need Mike Smith out there. That horrible alley oop pass by Brooks is quite common for him over the last few years. He just does not have that touch on passes.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:36 PM ^
Jackson makes a lot of miscues, feels like Juwan needs to ease him in slower, he's playing faster than he should, needs to calm down a bit.
November 29th, 2020 at 6:40 PM ^
Brown has feel in love with the 3. Not going in today like the first game.
