I like Sam's gut and I cannot lie!
- Sir Mix-a-Lot
Cause his routes are crisp and his 40's kickin, and he's think'n bout commitin
NICE!
I need a 10 thumbs up option. That was legit ?
2 legit to quit?
Call 1-800 Webb-A-lot and flip those crystal balls!
Well this is the best news I've gotten in quite a while.
This would be a huge recruiting win. Seemed like he was 100 percent to Oregon a couple weeks ago, though we may have gotten lucky because Oregon is in on a ton of highly rated receivers. Worthy is a future star.
I said something similar to this, regarding Worthy hopefully seeing their WR room getting full with their current commits etc. and it wasn’t well received. He has the opportunity to go to Oregon and be the #3 or #4 WR in their class, or he can come to UM and be the top WR in our class.
This is definitely worthy of its own thread.
I take this to mean, good news is on the horizon.
You should probably just take this to mean his last name is Worthy Magnus was simply making a well-timed pun.
Which receiver position is he expected to play, X or Z?
another CB for Michigan from Wilfong and Huffman - National guys
I read this incorrectly and thought a cornerback was coming.
Im still excited about this but also still looking for some guys who can cover.
At first it did look kind of like Sam was suggesting that CB Xavier was worthy of a being recruited.
*throws up the x like Dez Bryant*
*Not in a lame way like husker fans do*
This is YUUUUGGGGEEEE
appears to be a direct correlation with Brevard CBs to Oregon.
Wiltfong - 4
Webb - 7
Huffman - 4
Marich - 5
Oregon gets Brevard
We get Worthy
Seems like a fair deal
Brevard seems like the indicator that Worthy is Michigan bound. Because that receiver class is full, and there's no chance that Brevard was ranked higher on Oregons board.
Having watched his highlight tape, Worthy is in “don’t watch his highlight tape until he enrolls” territory. Electric.
Reading this was like trying to fix my "Circular" errors in Excel spreadsheets.
edit: What everyone else is saying about Isaiah Brevard.
He's not going to Michigan!
I have nothing more to offer about Brevard, but I have some things to say about Xavier Worthy!
Like YEE HAW!
He meant that Brevard getting CB'd to Oregon with his announcement tomorrow portends good news for UM on the Worthy front.
wondering which is cause and which is effect?
Brevard is supposed to announce on Saturday according to his 247 page, so I'm guessing he's cause and Worthy is effect?
Nope. Other way around. Worthy delaying his commitment because of renewed interest in Michigan is the cause, Oregon pushing for Brevard after Worthy having serious interest in Michigan again is effect. Worthy had like 15/15 crystal balls on Oregon when he was originally planning on announcing 2 weeks ago
That makes sense too
*edit*. What other said above re: Brevard — net effect is VERY good (potentially) for M.
- curse my slow typing...
It sounds like the decision is coming in a week or so as well.
Sam also said he likes Michigan’s chances with D. Edwards after spending time with him this week. Things are looking good!
I definitely think we are the strong leader for Edwards. But Worthy?
This is HUGE news.
McCarthy, Edwards, Henning, Worthy, Wilson, and Brown and Morris next year. SPEED FOR DAYS.
Not to mention a guy like Jackson as a senior or a Eamonn Dennis (who's a CB right now).
Plus some bigger targets on the outside.
Worthy committing July 10th. Looking really good.
If we pull in Worthy and Donovan Edwards than this could potentially be Harbaugh's best offensive class since 2017
This is HUGE!!!
Giles Jackson to WR/Recruiting Coordinator
And Worthy's uncle. Big Michigan fan.
Must... resist... that highlight video...
Do it. The DeSean Jackson comparison is legit.
He can fly. He's a natural slot. There are at least 4 highlights where they throw him a screen or swing pass and he almost just stands there, baiting the DBs before he makes a ridiculous move and takes off downfield.
He returns kicks.
IF we get elite QB play, we could finally have a truly explosive passing offense. I pray we can get OSU this year, calm everyone down and buy Harbaugh and Gattis enough time for these guys to mature in this system.
It could be exciting to watch Michigan offense again, haven't had that since Denard. The D has been a lot of fun to watch minus 5-6 terrible games. If Gattis gets this thing rolling...look out.
People were saying that Roman Wilson might be the fastest WR we've ever signed (likely hyperbole but he's certainly close and likely the fastest in a while) and Worthy is faster. Yikes.
Seems perfect for the O. Happy 4th. We are free for another year.

This would be awesome! Kid can fly! Think I saw 10.55 100m as soph? That's as fast as Denard with 2 years before college!
I don't know what it's like for Michigan to have a WR core comprised of elite athletes with burner speed AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MY HANDS
That’s what’s up.
Gotta keep my UDOPE under control.
