Potential Positive Basketball Developments
Two potential pieces of good news:
There is now word going around on Twitter that Illinois commit 4* SG Adam Miller (#33 player in the country), who holds a Michigan offer, likely will not sign with Illinois tomorrow. There was rumors a while back that Miller could possibly flip to Michigan and if Miller doesn't sign tomorrow, then I imagine those rumors will likely come up again especially with the Christopher news and there being some playing time available
Another development: #1 player in 2021 5* SF Jonathan Kuminga is reportedly trimming his list to 5 schools in the next few days. Kuminga has been rumored to be a prime candidate to reclassify to 2020 for a little while and with 2 open scholarships, maybe we will make that list and be in position to maybe take him in 2020
Forgot to mention that Michigan was already in Kuminga's top 10 schools
And forgot to mention the likes of LSU and Kentucky are pulling out of Kumingas recruitment because of "cultural fit." Holy red flags batman. We are not in this one
If he doesn't fit the LSU and UK culture, I take it to mean that he doesn't want to deal with bag men and wants to stay more than one year in college.
LSU backing out of his recruitment sounds a lot like "he won't accept our money so there's no use"
The fact that LSU basketball hasn't been nuked pisses me off and should piss everyone off. They're cheating right out in the open and I guess the NCAA can't be bothered to enforce their own rules and we all just have to deal with it. Screw that school and screw the NCAA
It's going to be really hard for anyone to reclassify up unless they already took their SAT/ACT.

For once, maybe Michigan will turn “really hard” into “really easy” and “help him” reclassify.
This is the one time it would be the NCAA rules, not UM Admissions, that's the stumbling block.
Having Adam Miller for two years over Christopher for one would be a silver lining. Hope Juwan can get it done.

There is something to be said for roster stability. No I'm not trying to make it sound like this is preferred to having Christopher in the class instead. lol
... but it would be nice to have a great SG for 2 years instead of 1...
Hell, Bajema will be here for four!
Wasn’t the Miller recruitment supposedly tied directly to Dosunmu’s decision? I don’t think Dosunmu is going to be a first round pick
That's supposedly why he waited until one day after the early signing period to commit. He doesn't want to go there if Dosunmu is back and that could be up in the air for some time.
I'll take Miller over JC.
I don't know about that. Jesus had a sweet crossover move. Too soon? Yes.

Good sportsmanship guy, too. He could break your ankles and then heal them.
Not a great athlete. Couldn’t swim.
Didn’t need to
Less than a week after the observed anniversary of his death? Too soon, man...
Uhhhhh... might want to recheck your theological calendar.
Like Juwan having the Illinois connection here...next up!
"word going around on twitter"...and rumors of a top 5...shit, sounds legit to me! Go blue!!
I only want basketball players from Massachusetts
Wrong sport, Sport
Someone should tell Juwan that we (the board) decided that Michigan is no longer going to pursue top 50 players and focus exclusively on four year "program" guys.
Beat me to it. The board doesn’t handle rejection well.
Adam Miller, Michigan Man.
Has a nice ring to it ?
It’s always fun to tweak the Illini. Many of them are still mad at Michigan for 1989.
And I believe they were taunting us at the B1G tournament a few years ago calljng us "white collar". I think it was Derrick Walton Jr. that told them "We'll beat you m-fers in street clothes."
Gotta love any chance to give Illini hoops an f-you.
Nice try. I will see how this works out once the signing period is over. So a commit to another school may not sign. So why did he commit?
Let's ask Todd's mom.
The same reason baseball/ hockey players commit?
To get some leverage when they negotiate with pro leagues..
The last 24 hours have definitely sucked, but no doubt about it I’m ready to get hurt again.
It's like me talking to the wine bottle.
I feel like JH should throw out an offer to DWade's son. The kid is an decent athlete and would help add some depth at the 1 and 2
You mean his daughter?

Zing.
Whatever happens, happens. Williams, Dickinson, Jace and Zeb gives Juwan a heck of a first full recruiting class. We can still have nice things apparently...as long as there's a season.
Don’t do it to me Victor. How can I enjoy my BPONE.
And it would just make to much sense for the kid. Now would Todd reconsider because the roster was loaded again.
Just attempting to bring some possible good news in a sea of disappointment
I needed this so thanks. I’m even going to watch clips and dream.
I think we may need to mainline this news into our fellow blogger WD.
Sorry, I appreciate the potential good news but I don't have the emotional energy left after the last 24 hours to invest interest into these two. Wake me up when they are signing.
I am going to retreat to my basement....someone let me know when recruiting season is over so I can check the internet again. Can't get my hopes up again after the last 24 hours.
Only thing I can say about Miller is I'm not sure why we didnt go after him earlier. Hes from the Chicago area and everytime I asked someone on here would say that area is a cesspool of corruption.

I mean we offered him relatively early, but he also made a decision relatively early as well
Is there any indication he is giving Michigan another look? Just seems like jumping the gun to get people’s hopes up again.
We don't even seem to be on the top guys in 2021. No bag I guess
