What Were Your Favorite TV Shows When Your Were a Kid?
Mates,
Since many of you/us won't be going to work for a while and we sure as heck won't be watching the NCAA's (silent fist of protest), I'm guessing many of you will have an increased amount of TV watching for shows you wouldn't otherwise bother with. Reruns are easy to come by in the modern age, and maybe some of you will dial those up. I can think of older shows like Gunsmoke or Lost in Space. Maybe cartoons like Space Ghost or Bugs Bunny. Jump ahead to the 80's/90's and watch Seinfeld, Friends, or newer programs like Deadliest Catch. Apparently some of you are Bachelor/Bachelorette fans, but who knows?
Anyway, today's question is in the title: What were your favorite TV shows when you were growing up?
Hoping all these cancellations have the intended beneficial effect. Stay safe everybody

When I was 7 watching it on NBC it kind of freaked me out with Freddy the talking flute and that big southern talking Mayor puppet. Later when it was on ABC it made me laugh when I was 10. As kids we heard the story that it was named H.R. Pufnstuf for pot, like in hand rolled in the opening song there several lyrics that goes "Can't do a little cause he can't do enough". Sid and Marty made quite a bit of money when they sued McDonald's for copying their puppets (that why we stopped seeing the hambergular and McGrimmis commercials).
Nothing can touch The A Team at the top of my childhood TV mountain.
I also watched a lot of He Man, Thundercats, Voltron which is the greatest toon in history, Dukes of Hazzard and Gilligan's Island.
Also, if anyone still hasn't seen the first season of the original Twin Peaks, self isolate for two days and absorb that.
One of my favorite series ever.
Johnny Quest
Lost in Space
Star Trek
i Dream of Jeannie
Jeopardy (with Art Fleming)
Batman
Sir Graves Ghastly (Saturday afternoon creature feature)
Pink Panther
most importantly "The bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Comedy Hour"
Night Stalker, Shock Theatre, Battle of the Network Stars, Johnny Carson, Carol Burnett, SCTV, Saturday Night Live, Man from U.N.C.L.E., Twilight Zone, Wanted Dead or Alive.

Get Smart. Mary Tyler Moore Show. Any cartoon with Foghorn Leghorn.
Good times and What’s Happening!! JJ and Rerun - loved it.
Cheers and News Radio hold up surprisingly well 30 years later. Macgyver and Knight Rider, not so much.
Laverne and Shirley
3’s Company
Price is Right
He-Man
Looney Toons
Scooby Doo
As a wee lad I was a big fan of Woody Woodpecker and all the old Looney Toons, Saturday morning used to the greatest TV day of the week.
As I got older, Mash, A-Team, and Dukes of Hazard were staples. I used to really like Ultra Man, that dam light blinking always started at the wrong time.
Gilligan's Island and Scooby Doo
Growing Pains, Who's the Boss, Mr Belvedere, Family Ties
Batman. But I was young enough to think that the show was deadly serious. Wham Pow.
I learned everything I need to know from the A-Team. The importance of teamwork, the need to blow things up, that you sometimes have to pistol-whip your friends to get them on an airplane.
Not enough mentions if Jeannie, folks. Barbara Eden had comedic timing and innocencent sex appeal. A bombshell. Now to ruin my take I give the Partridge Family. With no friends with MILFs while I grew up in CT, Shirley Jones tripped my adolescence trigger. Not so much Susan Dey until LA Law.
Barbara Eden and Julie Newmar - so hot
1. Growing Pains

4. Silver Spoons
5. Airwolf

Growing up in the 60s with all of 6 or 7 TV channels makes this a narrow list, but...
Man From Uncle was my favorite show. Hands down.
I watched Star Trek, Lost in Space, and, of course, Batman which is what every kid watched on Tues and Wed night.
Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits were pretty scary back then, too.
Sat. morning cartoons were not to be missed and Johnny Quest was a must see. They had Spider-Man, Iron Man and Captain America cartoons that fed my Marvel comics addiction.

When I was a kid, there were three channels, maybe 4, and we agonized over choosing one show over another. Now, there are hundreds of channels, and I struggle to find one thing to watch.
To answer your question, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Family, Mary Tyler Moore, Carol Burnett, Good Times, Barney Miller, Room 222, Bewitched.
Six Million Dollar Man
Kung Fu
Fantasy Island
