I really hope public school administrators consider returning some money back into taxpayers pockets since we are getting 2/3 of a school year and the majority of property tax money goes to the public schools. I would assume operating costs have to be less with buildings not being open for school, which means electricity, water, trash service costs, school bus maintenance costs etc would be far less.
Obviously its his blog and he can post what he wants, but if Unverified Verocity is gonna continue to have Brian's opinions about Covid, maybe just get rid of it for a while. I'm sure Brian is a smart guy, but the last thing I want to read on here is Brian's Covid content. Just one reader's opinion for whatever it's worth. Also, sports brings in billions of dollars to the economy, and not that money is more important than health, but we all now what drives decision making, which means it won't be the last to come back, unless he's talking about full stadium games.
There is currently a recall petition for Whitmer on change.org, has about 22,000 signatures currently and has been getting about 4,000 or 5,000 per day. They are also holding a capital protest on Wednesday at noon.
No disrespect man, but I think people should get a break on their property taxes this year because most of that money goes to the public schools and were only getting 2/3 of a school year. I'd imagine some operating costs have to be lower for schools even with paying full salaries.

Disappointing that most of the people reading this blog are sheep who blindly believe the sensationalism of the media like the majority of society right now. Obviously this thing is serious, but how does it help to act like the world is ending 24/7. This is what you're getting as a byproduct of all the shut downs and governors trying to make people stay in their homes like zoo animals. People are miserable because of the constant fear machine of the media and now people do not have things to enjoy to relieve stress.

Can we read anything that's not about Covid? I read sports to escape stress of the real world. Don't need to read about that crap on here when its flooded everywhere on everything else non stop. ESPN has to put out a video with Steph Curry talking to the drama king Dr. Fauci about it too, c'mon man! That Fauci guy is all over grabbing the spotlight anywhere he can, just setting up for his book deals in a few months.
Interesting that Illinois found it safe enough to hold their election a few days ago, having 1000s of people pack in voting lines in close quarters, but 3 days later it's not safe enough to leave your house except for essentials.

Another really poor defensive performance, especially on the perimeter. Becoming a thing with this team. That's why 30% shooters shoot 75% from 3 against us because they are wide open for 3's. What has happened to Simpson defensively? He used to be called an elite defender, now he can't stay in front of anyone.
Zavier has gave this program his all. His freshman year at the Open Practice I went down to meet him after the practice ended and I said Good Job Man! and pointed my finger at him, but I accidentally got too close to his face and he gave me the Big Mood look. One of my all time favorite memories.
I think the college basketball schedule overall is a few games too long. DPJ's combine numbers do not translate to the field. It takes him a while to get to top speed and he does not have a ton of lateral agility.
Livers has been pretty bad last 2 games. He is not good at iso ball. Everyone's first thought is, are injuries limiting him? Concerning that we lost 2 games in a row by not guarding the 3 point line good enough. Also concerning that we are not getting good shots out of timeouts. Davis is good on the block on offense, but he has terrible rebounding awareness and is a huge liability against stretch 5's. Woulda liked to have seen more Johns at the 5 today.
I hope he at least gets a summer league tryout. I'd imagine Juwan has the contacts to help him with that. With how hard he plays and how most nba players dog it on defense 90% of the time regular season, I think he could be serviceable on at least a G League roster as a poor man's Patrick Beverly type.

We've really under prioritized DT's in recruiting last few years and it could be the top reason our defense has been gashed against good offenses.
