The more they win, the better it is for us.

Let me snort my magic 8ball
December 21st, 2019 at 1:58 AM ^
What happens after you do that?
December 21st, 2019 at 8:30 AM ^
Sinus surgery, but they do at least give you the ball back.
December 21st, 2019 at 1:12 AM ^
Yes.
No.
Maybe.
December 21st, 2019 at 1:26 AM ^
Indeed

Can you repeat the question?
December 21st, 2019 at 1:13 AM ^
Could we be unicorns?
December 21st, 2019 at 1:57 AM ^
Probably not.
December 21st, 2019 at 1:55 AM ^
If Gonzaga doesn't lose another game...the answer is yes.
December 21st, 2019 at 3:12 AM ^
We could be. But only if Gonzaga doesn't lose another game this season.
December 21st, 2019 at 5:55 AM ^
Would be nice if we could say the same in football about some other team.
December 21st, 2019 at 9:48 AM ^
We can.
We could be Rutgers Football’s only loss next season.
There, i said it.
December 21st, 2019 at 6:42 AM ^
Let’s hope Carolina gets it going too. Not looking like a quadrant 1 W right now.
December 21st, 2019 at 7:59 AM ^
Fuck UNC. I'd like that game to be a Q4 win, actually...

Love the threads that ask questions no one can answer without the ability to time travel.
December 21st, 2019 at 10:36 AM ^
This is heavy
December 21st, 2019 at 7:35 AM ^
could be. They say anything is possible. Well except maybe beating Ohio State.
December 21st, 2019 at 8:08 AM ^
Perhaps a bit more explanation is in order? Why do you think Gonzaga may not lose again this year? What about them seems so good? What about their future opponents seem so good? I follow basketball and pay attention to who's winning. But I do not look at other teams schedules more than a publicized game might allow - and I suspect most MGoPeople on this board don't pay a lot of attention to Gonzaga's season schedule, either. (This is why you're getting the early neg bomb, BTW...)
Could you elaborate on why you think they may only have one loss on the season?
December 21st, 2019 at 8:22 AM ^
easy to elaborate: gonzaga plays in an incredibly weak league. while there is a chance they might lose to one of those patsies, it is unlikely. none of the league is ranked and i think only santa clara has given the zags a run for their money in the last few years.
to answer the question: not only is the answer 'yes', but also it would be surprising if they did lose during the regular season.

An actual discussion of OP’s good faith and reasonable question? Sorry xtra, this board exists solely to show off how snarky we can be in our replies.
(Yes I see the irony of my comment)
December 21st, 2019 at 8:47 AM ^
Well....considering they play in the brutaly competative West Coast Conference.
Probably lost a half dozen league games this decade.
December 21st, 2019 at 8:56 AM ^
Less Labatts and you will have more brutally competitive posts.
December 21st, 2019 at 10:22 AM ^
well they are the Zags... not the Zigs... so there's that
December 21st, 2019 at 11:12 AM ^
Probably until the first week of the NCAA tournament

Well, according to the experts, the 2 most likely scenarios are this:
1. If Gonzaga wins every game from here on out and finishes the season as NCAA champs with only one loss then, by virtue of the only their only loss being to Michigan, their only loss of the season will have been to Michigan.
2. If Gonzaga loses one or more games from here on out then, by virtue of having more than one loss, they will no longer have a single loss. So Michigan will not be able to claim the honor of Gonzaga’s only loss of their season.
However, if Gonzaga loses only one more game and it’s to Michigan in the NCAA tournament, then Michigan will be able to still be the only team to have beaten Gonzaga this season. Although it will now be two losses for Gonzaga instead of just one. So Michigan will not be able to claim to have handed them their only loss.
That’s the way the experts see it, anyway.
