Is everyone going to go 10-10 in the Big Ten this season?
As I type this, Nebraska(!) is about to beat Purdue easily at home, making home teams 12-0 so far this season. So is everyone going to win all their conference home games and lose all their road games leaving everyone tied for first (and last) at 10-10? They can draw straws for Big Ten tournament seedings, I guess.

maybe

Good take I’d have to agree
December 15th, 2019 at 6:58 PM ^
Has Ohio State lost yet?
December 15th, 2019 at 8:25 PM ^
In a few minutes.
December 15th, 2019 at 7:25 PM ^
No. Or maybe yes.
December 15th, 2019 at 8:08 PM ^
That depends.

Based on one game I too am ready to make a season long league prediction.

15-5 wins outright
December 15th, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
that's my guess too. not sure necessarily outright though.
December 15th, 2019 at 6:04 PM ^
Well, everyone except Northwestern.
December 15th, 2019 at 6:26 PM ^
KenPom had Nebraska at 150 (don't belong in B1G-level) w/ Purdue at 6. Northwestern at 100 (very bad B1G-level team).
This season Nebraska has losses against
- UC Riverside #217 66-47
- Southern Utah #178 79-78
- George Mason #120 85-66

I see
NW is likely to break the streak when it plays MSU at home on Weds
December 15th, 2019 at 6:06 PM ^
Probably not.
December 15th, 2019 at 6:37 PM ^
On average ... YES!
December 15th, 2019 at 6:40 PM ^
Just because this was posted, Ohio will win tonight at Minn. Oh the irony
December 15th, 2019 at 6:41 PM ^
MSU & OSU can lose more if they want.
December 15th, 2019 at 6:56 PM ^
Minny up 8 on Ohio State.
Also, Wofford beat North Carolina today...
December 15th, 2019 at 7:30 PM ^
Wow...UNC falls all the way to #34 on KenPom (and there's still some pre-season weight still in there). Although, UNC did beat Oregon.
Leaves us with wins over #6 Gonzaga (neutral), #22 Iowa (home), #34 UNC (neutral), #47 Iowa St (neutral), #52 Creighton (home)
Losses to #3 Louisville (away), #12 Oregon (home), #39 Illinois (away)
Not bad, but not nearly as impressive as it was coming out of the Bahamas.
December 16th, 2019 at 11:18 AM ^
This is great info. But if Simpson's hook bounces a hair lower off the backboard (or Johns' putback is hair to the right) you flip Oregon up to the win bin and it looks like one of the best resumes in the country. It would be every bit as impressive as it seemed coming out of the Bahamas. The losses would be on the road to one great and one good team, and both when the 3's weren't falling.
I know you're not bagging on Michigan, but to my mind, the above speaks to a team that is between great and very good.

First team to win a road game wins the conference!
December 15th, 2019 at 8:43 PM ^
Please no. Next conference game is MSU @ Northwestern on Wednesday.
December 15th, 2019 at 7:46 PM ^
Posting this now means OSU comes back and wins.
December 15th, 2019 at 8:00 PM ^
Ohio is getting bent!
December 15th, 2019 at 8:04 PM ^
Hold serve at home and steal a couple on the road has always been the way to win in the Big Ten. This season even more so apparently.
December 15th, 2019 at 8:37 PM ^
Winning home games in conference play will never be more important if this is how road games are going to go. How did Purdue beat #9 P̶u̶r̶d̶u̶e̶ Virginia and then lose to #146 Nebraska? They lost to Southern Utah! How did undefeated OSU lose to #73 Minnesota? Weird things.
December 15th, 2019 at 8:51 PM ^
Things really got weird when unranked Purdue beat #9 Purdue.
December 15th, 2019 at 8:38 PM ^
And OSU goes down 84-71 to Minny. Marcus Carr w/ 35 points for the Gophers.
December 15th, 2019 at 8:38 PM ^
13 straight, who is gonna be the first to win a road game? Michigan St at Northwestern is the only possibility until January 2020
December 15th, 2019 at 8:46 PM ^
It is crazy that nobody has won a road game yet in conference. I sorta expected OSU to lose at Minnesota but it's still crazy nobody has been able to break serve.
December 15th, 2019 at 8:51 PM ^
You kinda expected them to lose?
Minnesota has looked horrible this year while OSU has done very well. This was a very surprising result. The funny thing is Northwestern has looked decent at times this year so who knows maybe they can take down Sparty on Wednesday.
December 15th, 2019 at 11:13 PM ^
With the fact that nobody had won yet on the road and Minnesota is probably a bit better than their record, I figured this might be a game OSU could get caught up in. Minnesota is not a fun place to play when the fans are amped (and possibly beating the #1 team in the country at home will get them excited), and I'm a sucker for keeping streaks alive.
NW can absolutely beat MSU this year at home, though my guess now is because everyone wishes it happen it won't.
December 15th, 2019 at 9:14 PM ^
C'mon, Northwestern. Do your job.
December 16th, 2019 at 9:20 AM ^
No because Michigan will lose twice at home because we still get a road whistle at Crisler.
