Thank God we have Calipari to cleanse this world of cheaters
Wait...
November 6th, 2019 at 6:19 AM ^
Right... a game of the cheaters vs. Cheaters & Trash.
November 6th, 2019 at 8:24 AM ^
The bag does not equal decades of willfully ignoring sexual assault. In any way. It's not even fucking close.
November 6th, 2019 at 8:33 AM ^
Wait...Now I’m confused... are we talking about Kansas and Duke or MSU Kentucky?
1, 2, 3, 4... all with major allegations of some level of corruption or cheating.
congrats NCAA, you’ve turned a blind eye and got the exact tv revenue your handlers demanded.
November 6th, 2019 at 11:31 AM ^
Don't forget Louisville at #5
November 6th, 2019 at 8:31 PM ^
Sorry that your butthurt but there has been no allegation of cheating at UK since the 80’s under Eddie Sutton. Frankly, we’ve had more issues w NCAA more recently than UK.
November 6th, 2019 at 10:25 AM ^
I dont understand the hate here, for Calipari... Always liked him..... he toes the line of the rules, but as far as I know, hasn't broken them.... it is what it is.
November 6th, 2019 at 10:49 AM ^
I'm just +1ing you for the correct use of "Toe" instead of "Tow", no ropes involved.
November 6th, 2019 at 11:20 AM ^
So he's been cleared of his time at UMass and Memphis?
November 6th, 2019 at 11:51 AM ^
Maybe at Kentucky, but this sounds like recency bias. I would equate Calipari at Kentucky to Saban at Alabama in regards to being insulated from the "dirty work". The programs have people in place to make things happen without him getting his hands dirty. Just ask Don Chaney about Cal's character, which is still an epic public meltdown btw. He's still a slimy person, but UK's blue blood basketball status allows him to operate cleaner in his position than prior stops in his career. UMass and Memphis were obvious examples...can only polish a turd so much.
November 6th, 2019 at 12:02 PM ^
Yeah, I like Coach Cal too...him and Harbaugh are friendly too right? I don't know if he's sparkly clean, but I know that some of the things he's been "guilty" of doing involve helping very poor athletes and their families have stable housing, jobs etc. One of those things that within the rules of the NCAA is wrong, but the rule in itself....ehh...
November 6th, 2019 at 7:21 PM ^
Count me as a fan as well.
November 6th, 2019 at 3:46 AM ^
Go (big) Blue!
November 6th, 2019 at 10:30 AM ^
Indeed, Kentucky = blue, right OP?
November 6th, 2019 at 11:51 AM ^
Yep! Kentucky turned blue last night!
November 6th, 2019 at 5:39 AM ^
Whew! I thought they were unbeatable this year!
November 6th, 2019 at 6:04 AM ^
Undefeated in dignity... until the depositions come.
November 6th, 2019 at 9:45 AM ^
Tough week for tiny tom!
November 6th, 2019 at 11:42 AM ^
For real. Frauds.
November 6th, 2019 at 6:34 AM ^
...so why was kentucky playing tammany hall in the first place
November 6th, 2019 at 6:36 AM ^
I thought about the same response but was going to go with the Coleman Young/Kwame Kilpatrick administration.
November 7th, 2019 at 2:56 AM ^
Do you really need to look farther than the Kentucky gubernatorial race for a political contest that fits the OP perfectly? Congratulations, Kentucky indeed!

Yep sharing at work today....
November 6th, 2019 at 6:55 AM ^
Most disgusting & corrupt organization? The KKK is an organization. And their basketball team is awful.
November 6th, 2019 at 9:09 AM ^
Yeah, none of them can jump for shit.
November 6th, 2019 at 9:12 AM ^
Now now, I don't think there's been a single allegation of embezzlement and/or bribery against any of their leadership.
I tend to assume the FBI just figures if anyone wants to embezzle money from the KKK, it's a net positive for everyone.
November 6th, 2019 at 9:41 AM ^
They also cant jump which doesnt help.
November 6th, 2019 at 6:55 AM ^
Sparty faithful response, "Ya, but Howard mentioned a recruit's name."
November 6th, 2019 at 6:58 AM ^
Bravi?
Hired assassins were involved?
November 6th, 2019 at 7:19 AM ^
Fuck that. Lil Bro over Kentucky, Duke, et al., even though he’s a fuckup.
November 6th, 2019 at 11:21 AM ^
no way. Anyone over the angry elf, anyone.
November 6th, 2019 at 7:22 AM ^
The NCAA is on it! Over at ncaa.org, their score page has the logos reversed:
November 6th, 2019 at 7:27 AM ^
Headlines for the past week: "HOW WILL MSU HANDLE THEIR #1 RANKING? "
I guess it would suck that they only got the pre-preseason to enjoy it before having to play a deathstar.
November 6th, 2019 at 7:37 AM ^
Obviously next time the other team will have to work harder to make sure a bunch of those Kentucky players aren't eligible to play.
November 6th, 2019 at 7:56 AM ^
I can’t help but feel this is a political post about the governors race vs actual sports related. If so, there really isn’t a place for it on this board, even if it is a clever effort.
November 6th, 2019 at 10:16 AM ^
Now that he mentioned it I kind of agree upon re-reading the OP. Hint: yesterday was also election day.
November 6th, 2019 at 8:07 AM ^
you are right. (nevertheless, the two things are not mutually exclusive. sorry, i couldn't help myself)
November 6th, 2019 at 8:59 AM ^
Remember “Sharp Right Turn” referring to the footballs bounce during a punt bounce in the Iowa game (a loss in November 2016) that totally spelled the end for everything and for us? Subtle works here. IMO the OP did not do subtle.
November 6th, 2019 at 9:29 AM ^
FWIW I think it's a stealth politics post as well.
November 6th, 2019 at 9:57 AM ^
Please esplain Lucy...
November 6th, 2019 at 9:55 AM ^
Of course it is. But it’s clever and sneaky in that it maintains plausible deniability so it stays up. Nicely done.
November 6th, 2019 at 10:25 AM ^
And I LOVE it!
One less republican in office, er, one less Michigan State raked at Number one.
November 6th, 2019 at 10:28 AM ^
So much so that the observation is getting negged and questioned as a comment from Mars (as Klatt might say).
Wake up people (or should I say, become Woke). The OP makes way more sense as political commentary.
November 6th, 2019 at 10:44 AM ^
Looking at either major US party and declaring them nothing but disgusting, corrupt cheaters, while the other side is a bunch of plucky underdogs taking them down is... well, kind of like doing the same thing for MSU vs. Kentucky.
It works on so many levels!
(but seriously OP the country already treats political affiliation too much like sports fandom. Lets not encourage that)
November 6th, 2019 at 10:47 AM ^
99% of Michigan fans would claim both MSU and Kentucky basketball are very sleazy and corrupt.
95% of liberals would claim only the GOP is corrupt.
Thus, OP makes more sense as political commentary.
(Source: Gallup poll that I just made up)

To be honest, I’m jealous of anyone who could read this post and be so blissfully unaware as to not immediately realize the political connotation. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and all that. I’d sleep and live so much longer if I could just tune it all out.
