September 6th, 2019 at 10:26 AM ^
I hope they play Jeter and Runyan for a half. They need some reps before Wisconsin.
September 6th, 2019 at 5:59 AM ^
One of the better officers I had in the Infantry went to West Point. Still Go Blue, beat Army!
September 6th, 2019 at 6:45 AM ^
Thank you for serving. God bless the USA!
September 6th, 2019 at 10:28 AM ^
Does God bless other countries?
September 6th, 2019 at 11:10 AM ^

September 6th, 2019 at 6:00 AM ^

GO BLUE!!!
September 6th, 2019 at 10:02 AM ^
That time we had a posbang when points didn't work?
September 6th, 2019 at 6:04 AM ^

How in God's name do they expect to beat MICH
GO BLUE

And this time they don't even have the benefit of using Agent Orange.
September 6th, 2019 at 7:25 AM ^
Wolverines take dust baths with Agent Orange!
September 6th, 2019 at 12:16 PM ^
This is exactly how I wake every football Saturday.
September 6th, 2019 at 11:47 AM ^
US failed to protect South Vietnam for a variety of reasons. The US Army did not lose a battle.
September 6th, 2019 at 6:06 AM ^
Win comfortably, but no need to run it up on these fine young men.
September 6th, 2019 at 10:25 AM ^
What's the goal?
September 6th, 2019 at 11:04 AM ^
Win with character.
Win with cruelty.
September 6th, 2019 at 6:13 AM ^
Destroy them on the field, cheer them off the field, tell the student section to knock off the "you suck" chant.
September 6th, 2019 at 10:19 AM ^
Honestly wish they would just stop this all the time. Especially with the what comes after the you suck... Just sounds tacky.
September 6th, 2019 at 10:27 AM ^
They need to stop that classless sh*t for all opponents. Be loud, be classy, be respectful of your opponents... they make you better!
September 6th, 2019 at 6:30 AM ^
Here's to a big Michigan victory and a bunch of healthy knees!
Happy Friday and Go Blue!!!

It's National Read A Book Day, MGoBloggers! So, whether you've got the time to read Overtime: Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines at the Crossroads of College Football, or Hail to the Victors 2019, or, like Navin R. Johnson, the new phone book, or any other book today, here's hoping that you'll like whatever you choose to read.
And be careful what you do, but Go Blue!
September 6th, 2019 at 7:26 AM ^
This is maybe a completely separate OT topic but how does everyone carve out time to read more? I did okay before kids (a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old) but now I’m so dead ass tired at night that I basically start dozing off as soon as I crack a book.
September 6th, 2019 at 8:13 AM ^
Haa!! So true... My reading stopped cold the day my kid was born. Not so coincidentally, that was also the day I stopped travelling for work, which was when I did most of my reading. However, the advent, and discovery, of audio books got me right back into it. I no longer spend ~3 hours/day in the car listening to the radio (music or talking heads) mindlessly. I've read almost a dozen books in barely a year since discovery, and I feel renewed!
It did take some mental gymnastics to lower my self-standards and actually listen to that first book being read to me. But I'm glad I did - what a revelation! I heartily recommend dropping your playlist for a few days and listening to a book when you're driving, working out, on a walk, or whatever it is you normally do with the radio (or TV, whatever) on in the background.
September 6th, 2019 at 8:22 AM ^
Right on - I love audio books and have consumed many of them. Audible is the one with the most titles and you can expect to pay about $15 for most books. For cheapskates like me, I first check two library apps called Hoopla and Libby to see if I can get the books for free there first. All you need is a library card to "borrow" the audio books by downloading them to your phone. They don't have everything (I'm guessing the publishers don't allow the audio versions on those apps) but I've still gotten some good ones through them.
September 6th, 2019 at 9:07 AM ^
I'm waiting for the audio version of MGoBlog.
Then again, I'm also waiting for an MGoBlog app and for MGoPoints to work and for Pitbull to permanently disappear from the MGoBanner...

I strongly recommend that you read every book your children read and discuss it with them. Once they are in school you can read the classics again. I read 1984 and The Great Gatsby to help my daughter. More importantly, read to your kids. A Fish Out of Water and the Bearenstain Bears were very popular. Great memories.

laser, suggest staying away from the 2%, get more steak, too. i mean, its only 2 kids and you can still play man-to-man defense.
kidding aside, my life-long pleasure reading did take a dive as we were blessed with more kids, but i will tell you what it morphed into which was every bit, if not more so, enjoyable: reading as a family. we pick books as a family and i read to the kids. this has continued even with 2 in college as they still enjoy hanging out when i'm reading to the other kids. there will be a time for more selfish reading if/when i get older but what i'm getting done now is very pleasant. you and your kids will benefit, too, in ways you probably won't even think of.

1000% agreed with you and eng above. Best part of my day is putting the two-year-old down each night and reading books with her.

This pic shares equal billing at #1 with the pic of Alan Branch walking away from the PSU QB. Just so perfect in the same way, yet so differently!

Up early because my youngest decided he wanted to climb into my bed and kick me with the fury of a thousand suns.
