This guy can’t catch a break. Good luck and get better soon. Hopefully only precautionary.
August 22nd, 2019 at 9:45 PM ^
Wish this kid the best but he just can’t seem to stay healthy. Hopefully this has a speedy recovery.
August 22nd, 2019 at 9:59 PM ^
Some people's bodies just can't handle high level athletics. Durability is an underrated aspect of athleticism.
August 22nd, 2019 at 10:08 PM ^
Agreed. Just being consistently available is a major part of being a great player.

Cal Ripken Jr. says "Hold my beer."
August 23rd, 2019 at 10:35 AM ^
i agree Cal Ripken Jr. is an iron man, but he didn't have 300+ pound behemoths going after him.
August 23rd, 2019 at 12:41 PM ^
Sure, but 2,632 games over 16 years?! Give respect where it's due, and that record will probably never come close to being touched again.
August 23rd, 2019 at 4:32 PM ^
Also, he didn't stand around scratching his nuts for 98% of the game like all non pitchers and catchers. Batter 4 times most games, fielded 4-5 ground balls....yawn.
August 23rd, 2019 at 10:26 AM ^
While I'd agree it's underrated, it doesn't have anything to do with athleticism.
August 23rd, 2019 at 11:00 AM ^
athleticism
NOUN
-
the physical qualities that are characteristic of athletes, such as strength, fitness, and agility.
How exactly is having a body that's physically capable of actually performing athletic activities without tearing itself apart NOT a physical quality that is characteristic of (better) athletes?
I've trained with a ton of elite (national and international) athletes in a couple different sports and seen a bunch of Olympic sports trainers (medical and performance). Do you know what separates Olympic athletes from just "athletes"? It's not how hard they work or VO2 Max. It's how resistant they are to injury and how quickly they can recover when they do get injured.
There are people who can pull a muscle, ice it once or twice, and then be near 100%. It's amazing to see. On the other hand, there are people with tight muscles and loose ligaments who are almost always at risk of dislocating a joint when they go 100%. Rashan seems much more the latter than the former, which sucks for him.

Wasn’t this the week he got hurt last year in that infamous scrimmage?
August 23rd, 2019 at 8:40 AM ^
PTSD, bro. Thanks for the trigger!!
August 22nd, 2019 at 9:50 PM ^
He’ll be aight
August 22nd, 2019 at 9:58 PM ^
Good on him for getting some guaranteed $$$. I hope he's OK physically.
August 22nd, 2019 at 11:03 PM ^
No, he turned Clemson down, remember?
August 22nd, 2019 at 10:15 PM ^
Watching a bit of the Packers Raiders game, so horrendous is the condition of the field, they're playing on an 80 yard field.
August 22nd, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
It can be done. Sparty mostly played on a 90 yard field last year.
August 23rd, 2019 at 6:38 AM ^
How does an NFL field get to be in such poor shape? Sure, its not an actual NFL field - except that the NFL is playing there. No reason for that crap...
August 23rd, 2019 at 7:35 AM ^
They played in Canada, not on a NFL field.
August 22nd, 2019 at 10:15 PM ^
Hopefully precautionary. Worried it was a lower leg injury when I heard he was carted off but sounds like it was a big hit to the head and neck.
August 22nd, 2019 at 10:35 PM ^
His agency tweeted out that he’s okay.
Why are Green Bay and Oakland playing in Winnipeg? What good could possibly come of this?
August 22nd, 2019 at 11:05 PM ^
Just try keeping the Hard Knocks crew out of Manitoba!
August 22nd, 2019 at 11:16 PM ^
The NFL's incessant desire to be as global as futbol is proving ruinous to players and fans. They make enough money with the American market, and these inorganic attempts at expanding their brand is getting players hurt and causing angst among their primary consumers.
I forget those London games are on most times. And, let's not even discuss that more than half of those Thursday night games are unwatchable, as well. Hopefully, they will replace Goodell with a more rational-minded businessman when his contract is up.
August 23rd, 2019 at 12:06 AM ^
Don’t forget the Mexico City games that players have to protest to avoid.
August 23rd, 2019 at 1:01 AM ^
No Need to protest that game, as soon there will be a WALL. No way to possibly get to Mexico City and back home with such a barrier in place.
August 23rd, 2019 at 6:43 AM ^
Goodell is going nowhere until he decides to retire. The owners adore him because of the money he's made them. It's like the Delaney Factor in the B1G, he prints money so can do no wrong...

Market Share... plus all of the Snowflakes that went North after "You know who" entered office.
August 22nd, 2019 at 11:06 PM ^
My confidence in the Packers coaching staff and management is lessening by the day. First, they hire a relatively unsuccessful neophyte to coach an all time top 5 quarterback.
Then, this unproven, lightly accomplished head coach wants to change this all time great QB, and take away one of his best assets (line of scrimmage playcalls).
After that, they draft a young man who has played defensive line all of his football life and takes him out of the trenches so he can roam the field as a linebacker.
Even worse, they play him on a shoddy field, in a meaningless game, and after he gets a minor injury they return him to the game where he sustains, possibly, a more serious injury.
Wow, it's possible that the Lions won't be the worst run team in the NFC North this year.
August 22nd, 2019 at 11:20 PM ^
The Lions' Front Office says "hold my beer."
August 23rd, 2019 at 7:42 AM ^
The Tigers did the same with Ausmus. It didn't work out then they traded away all their good players.
August 23rd, 2019 at 2:02 AM ^
Hope he can stay healthy. He has all The potential in the world but just can’t seem to stay healthy.
August 23rd, 2019 at 8:27 AM ^
Damn I hope the kid is alright. He has a bright future ahead of him.
