Former OSU WR Coach Zach Smith Arrested
Really?
Clearly, if they would have read his Twitter explanation, they would have realized his vindication.
FWIW, Smith’s lawyer released a statement to media alleging that Courtney refused to drop off the kids any Zach’s the night before according to their custody agreement, so he tried to pick them up from school instead... Since Courtney was also present to stop him, he was in violation of the civil protection order.
Same old, same old. Absolutely malicious move by his ex-wife to have Zach arrested at their kids' school when he was there to pick up. She's in contempt of court for not giving him the kids last night which she was supposed to. Just very sad for the children. 100% avoidable by both of them.
Zach is a twerp but this petty BS by the ex wife disgusts me. There's just no reason to allow your children to have that image of their dad unless he's actually like a criminal or something. That's something that kids don't forget.
Uh, beating the shit out of your wife actually does make you a criminal, even if the paid for prosecutor doesn't prosecute.
Good thing he is an actual criminal then. I get it, seeing your dad getting arrested is probably a traumatic experience. Not as traumatic as seeing your dad beat the shit out of your mom though.
While what his ex wife did is illegal I think I would do the same thing if I was in her shoes. If I was a woman and my husband beat me like that I wouldn't want my kids around him at all and I'd make it super difficult for him to get in contact with them, legal or not. As far as I'm concerned he lost the privilege of seeing his kids when he beat the hell out of his wife.
So we are just taking Zach and his lawyer's word for it? Obviously none of us know exactly what happened, but their defense the whole time has been to play the victim and smear Courtney, so of course they are going to continue it now.
Hijacking with apologies, since I have no other path to posting. Wondering what the thoughts are on the dumpster fire that is blowing smoke in Tallahassee. Florida 5 star enrollee Chris Steele has entered the transfer portal even though he was a projected starter as a freshman. He requested to not be a roommate of the QB, and shortly after that the QB allegedly sexually assaults a coed. Is this kid going to end up at OK or Oregon? If worth discussing could someone post it?
Gainesville?
Wow, Yes I totally wrote it wrong (insert embarrassed emoji here ) Thanks for the correction I’m not sure how I posted the wrong city.
In related news, the sun is hot, water is wet, snow is cold...
Color me "surprised"!
This guy again.
That’s generally what happens when you break the law while not employed by THE Ohio State University.
Good point. Maybe he forgot he's not longer employed by OSU and can longer act with impunity.
That's why he figured he would show up to the school wearing an OSU shirt. It didn't work.
Even if his wife refused to give him the kids last night, there are legitimate ways to deal with that. This dumb ass found out that this isn't the way. Next time, contact your lawyer. It's funny how now he wants to be a responsible parent.
Zone 6 violation, I hear.
Maybe this forum should just move on from Mr. Smith.
I hope we beat OSU every year in every sport.
But this seems wrong.
When Mr. Smith quits violating the law and making news, I am quite sure this forum will move on from him.
Yeah. We basically had. He's the one who threw a temper tantrum at his kids school and got arrested.
First, he is a disgusting douche, no other qualifiers needed.
I’m seeing reports that, if you take out his former employer, there may be more to the story. There are reports that he was supposed to get his kids last night and his ex wouldn’t give them to him. As a result he went to pick them up from school today. The ex wife was at the school when he arrived = violation of the protective order. As previously stated he is a total scumbag but wait for the full story. Her won’t be any less of a scumbag but he may not be the only one at fault.....then again maybe those reports are wrong, we will know soon enough.
For what it is worth, Eleven Warriors covered the story also: https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2019/05/104144/former-ohio-state-wide-receiver-coach-zach-smith-arrested-for-violating-civil-protection-order
If beating us is so satisfying then why do you feel the need to troll a rival blog?
SHOCKER! I never would have predicted this.
Okay, cool. Hook’em?
Thumbs up. My phrase of the year!
This kind of thing is horrible for the kids-- who are quite often watching as all of this unfolds. It's also pretty upsetting for the school staff. This guy is a train wreck.
I bet they halfway understand.
Stupid is , as stupid does .
Totally just misportrayed and screwed over - OSU fans
Mr. Smith goes to prison.
You forgot the "again" in the title
Everybody is ready to crucify him but what about the school staff. Are you all so ignorant that you can’t see the other side of this. Clearly smith is innocent. My buddy that still goes to school there told me that they’re all ichigan fans. I guess that’s why he’s never graduated.
Edit: I thought I was being so clever, but clearly I wasn't. For you N*ggers this was my attempt to act like an OSU fan, with an OSU buddy that can't even graduate from elementary school. Damn, I thought it was gold. Oh well, at least I enjoyed it.
Is your friend Billy Madison?
I like how he has a capital M in My.
Urban Meyer has already forgotten this.
The world: Urban Meyer actively helped perpetuate domestic violence, and it's unacceptable.
You: Urban Meyer beat Michigan at football!
...
That tells us all we need to know about your priorities, though we already knew.
I’m surprised you have internet in jail Zach. And Urban turned his back on your crazy ass. So get off our Blog.
Looks like his podcast may experience some production delays.
"His kids shouldn't be playing school. There's where the problem lies."---Cardale Jones
You misspelled skool......
Go away cooler pooper.
He's wearing an OSU shirt in the mugshots. Granted, it's probably extremely common for OSU shirts to be worn in mugshots, but it's a little more noteworthy in this case.
That there is marketing.
Do the Buckeyes play in the 'Shoe because it's the closest OSU can come to having a sole?
