CBS Sports HQ will air the announcement live.

Crystal balls are split 50/50 between ND and UM (4 each) BUT the 4 Michigan balls have a confidence level of 1, 5, 6 and 6.  Notre Dames confidence levels are 6, 6, 8, 8.

Even though the balls are split, this is leaning NDs way.  Losing out on the top 3 trench guys in the state of Michigan would be a fucking gut punch.

He values academics, preparation for the NFL, and preparation for life after football. He talks about how 1 ND commit is in his ear, while three UM commits are in his ear AND Edwards is asking him where he's going to school. If I had to put money on it today, I'd say he goes to the good guys.

I would hate to lose out on Spindler, who seems like a stud. And yeah, he's an in-state kid. Michigan has already landed two very, very solid in-state OL this cycle tho, including Giovanni El-Hadi, who's well inside the top 100 nationally. If Spindler does break for ND, that's indeed a meaningful loss for Michigan, but it would be silly for the narrative to be "Michigan can't recruit in-state" or "Michigan can't recruit offensive linemen." Both would be wrong. Hoping we get Spindler so we don't have to hear any of that to begin with

Foolishly, I clicked this link, and for those not so inclined, it is a year old thread asking for some advice on asking a girl out.

I don't know, man. If you've waited a year, you might want to introduce the question by first mentioning that you looked for advice on a sports blog last year and, having received little in the way of serious replies, decided to hazard a trip to the library or something. I would definitely make a point of the enormous amount of research that went into the moment as her current boyfriend looks on.

Michigan just kicked ND’s ass in the trenches last year, does he not remember this?  Harbaugh>Kelly too

It's important to note that the ND crystal balls may have higher confidence because ND insiders are notoriously optimism

Sam Webb did a comprehensive interview with Marc and Rocco Spindler last week and is still confident with his pick for Michigan

I have no idea who will be picked but losing this recruitment would be another sign that this staff is merely good at recruiting and not elite, and its really hard to be an elite team without elite recruiting

Spindler quote from Webb's recent article:

“Education… that's number one, top priority,” Spindler recently said. “Development; who am I going to be developed by the best to get me a shot the NFL? The brotherhood aspect… I want to be part of a great family. And networking... that's a great thing as well because I want to get jobs after I'm done playing football and know a lot of great people. And just biggest thing for me is who's going to take care of me after football ends? And, of course a national championship would be awesome as well."

He wants the best B-school ... on ranking that is Ross but Mendoza is right there.  Tie

On development ... Coach Ed is way more proven.  Win

On brotherhood ... that one feels like Notre Dame the way he talks about each.  Loss

On alumni networking ... pure alumni numbers, UM but ND is a tight community.  Tie

On Nat'l Title ... ND has made the playoffs and UM is stuck behind OSU.  Loss

Just a gut feel, but with the UM bashing likely being dished out by OSU and ND during his recruitment, this one feels like he is going to ND.

The only difference between ND and Michigan as it pertains to the playoff and how ND has gotten there and Michigan hasn’t can be boiled down to three letters:

OSU

ND hasn’t gotten in over Michigan because it’s a better program. It’s gotten in because it doesn’t have to face OSU. Much less share a division with them. ND also has a comparatively easier schedule. USC and Stanford are down, they face Clemson maybe once every few years, and usually only have one other big time matchup per year.

You switch the schedules, where ND has to play OSU, PSU and MSU every year, and Wisconsin half the time, I guarantee they fare no better than Michigan has in the last five years. They finish somewhere between 8-4 to 10-2 every year. I also guarantee Michigan makes the playoffs under Harbaugh at least once by now if they had ND’s schedule.

No way they tie for Business school or Alumni. Don't know where you came up with this. He's just as tight with UM commits as ND so I wouldn't consider this a loss either. By the kids own criteria I would say UM leads for and lands Rocco.

I can understand going to the SEC to play for $ and championships And girls  at Bama, LSU, UGA.

I can understand going to Clemson or OSU to play for $ and championships.

I can understand going to Stanford, a seemingly academically superior institution.

Going to play for a purple faced psycho at an equivalent academic university with a similar Current football profile in a crappier town makes no sense to me.

I haven't paid a huge amount of attention to the details of Spindler's recruiting saga the way I once might have, but the pessimist in me thinks it won't be Michigan.

I am a cynic, but I bet he goes to ND. Say what you will about them, and yes, Michigan did kick the ever loving shit out of them back in October, but they have produced plenty of high caliber OL in the past few years. Far more than Michigan. Several of them have gone in the top 10 and have had a very productive pro careers in a short amount of time.

This is not leaning ND way, Both Sam Webb and Allen Trieu have said they believe it will be Michigan but they are still not confident. I think it is very close to 50/50 with maybe Michigan leading by the slightest bit.

Not all Irish people fight.  I’m offended by Notre Dame and their leprechaun mascot.  If they don’t change their name I think all recruits should cancel them from their list.
