At the end of the day it's…

At the end of the day it's more than just football, it's about what kind of person you become and whether you can be a great example for people to follow.

Devin Bush is that kind of man.

Proud to know he represented our university well and I know he is going to rock it as a Pittsburgh Steeler.

That was some serious…

That was some serious Wolverine on Wolverine crime.

I bleed Maize and Blue and I…

I bleed Maize and Blue and I have to ask: Why are some Michigan fans insufferable idiots?

I'm a die hard Wolverines…

I'm a die hard Wolverines fan, but reading many posts just confirmed what I said to a co-worker of mine that Michigan fans can be both the most passionate and also the most insufferable fans on the planet :)

With all due respect, I…

With all due respect, I replied to the OP bc his basketball PMS was clouding his thinking when he was implying that Beilen isn't an amazing coach.

Correction: Beiliin is a fucking amazing coach and will go down as the best fucking coach you, me and Michigan will probably experience in our generation.

That doesn't mean he is a perfect coach.

After having the longest sustained period of success in the past 12 + years that has included two final four appearances, two big ten tournament titles, 3 consecutive Sweet sixteen runs, three 30+ winning seasons and above all else doing this while running a clean program that maximizes the talents of under the radar recruits, all I can say to you and the OP is this: Chill the Fuck out Dude.

I don't know what the "real problem" is that you are alluding to, but our flaws in basketball this year has nothing to do with questionable coaching and play calling that has plagued our football team. It's quite simply we hit our talent ceiling this year and our lack of shooters and play makers got exposed by the best defensive team in the freaking nation.

Yeah, it sucks that we went 0-3 against MSU but unlike our football team, we aren't going to lose every game nor win every game. If go on a 14 game losing streak to our rivals like our football team is doing then ok, that's when you have permission to complain.

But until then, just chill.

Many Michigan fans are going…

Many Michigan fans are going through basketball PMS right now. They can't think rationally :)

You're pissed like all of us…

You're pissed like all of us and I get it. But you're also being too myopic and judging this one game as a reflection of Coach B's entire tenure.

This game was not the norm, but the exception.

We'll be back.

We hit our ceiling and over…

We hit our ceiling and over achieved this year. But with that said:

1) Xavier Simpson needs to learn how to shoot more than just the hook shock. I know he's not a natural scorer, but he needs to step up his game so that he's not a liability.

2) Somebody hire a big man coach and teach John Teske to play strong in the post. He has improved this year...but he needs to improve his post presence to be a true threat. He's 7'1 and only grabbed 4 rebounds.

3) Poole: He has the talent, just not the discipline. He needs to play smarter and not stupider. Let's hope he becomes the former next year.

62-39 in football

63-44 in…

62-39 in football

63-44 in basketball.

We lost to teams who wear the color red.

Our vaunted defenses both got carved up.

And the players who we needed to step up disappeared.

Tough loss, and as much as we want to (and can) win every game, we won't them all.

A temporary setback to what I believe is still a great future.

We'll be back.

Go Blue.

Well it wasn't 62-39, but 63…

Well it wasn't 62-39, but 63-44 comes awfully close.

This was our basketball version of the OSU beatdown we suffered in football.

Tough way to end what was an overachieving year.

Despite that, the future is bright.

That was the score from our…

That was the score from our blowout loss to OSU

Uh...you're completely…

Uh...you're completely forgetting the last 11 years of his time here. Stop looking at the situation with horse blinders.

How ironic if this game…

How ironic if this game ended with the final score of 62-39

How ironic if the final…

How ironic if the final score ended up 62-39.

Iggy was our only bright…

Iggy was our only bright spot in this game. The kid played his heart out. Everyone else seems to have just given up.

With that said, we had an excellent run this year and so long as Coach B is around, the future will continue to look bright.

Football season can't come soon enough.

Go Blue Forever.

We had a great run and we…

We had a great run and we overachieved this year.

Getting to the Sweet 16 3 years in a row is a proud accomplishment.

Our program is in great hands and the future is bright despite this inevitable loss.

A team in Red is destroying…

A team in Red is destroying our vaunted defense, our players have all but disappeared.

Sorry this isn't the 62-39 debacle that was the OSU-Michigan football game.

This is our men's basketball team.

Will go down as one of the…

Will go down as one of the greatest Tight End's of all time and is a sure fire Hall of Fame inductee. He should follow the Rock and go into Hollywood. Will be very interesting to see how Brady and Patriots perform without him.

Another 3 years with the…

Another 3 years with the same team-just a testament to his longevity, durability, and talent. Really happy for him and his family.

He deserves all of it and glad that he is representing us well in the NFL.

GO Blue.

Pfft....Who gives a shit…

Pfft....Who gives a shit whether people on this message stream consider John B. a "top five" coach or not...

....All that matters to me, and the only thing that matters to me, is that he is winning at a high level, bringing respect and awareness to our program, and most importantly he is doing this without having to give hookers and cash to lure players to our program.

That enough warrants him being #1 in my eyes.

Go Blue.

Dear God...why?

Dear God...why?

No better way to introduce…

No better way to introduce him to the GAME and the Rivalry than by giving him a big ass whooping at the BIG HOUSE.

Bring it OSU.

We got this.

Go Blue

Not Ohio State!!!

Not Ohio State!!!

That was awesome to read.

That was awesome to read.

Thanks for posting.

He's not Dave Brandon.

He's not Dave Brandon.

That alone gives him a pass in my book.

The dude was a fucking clown…

The dude was a fucking clown and as tone deaf as a headstone.

Good riddance and credit to MSU's regents for doing the right thing.

About a week ago, i actually…

About a week ago, i actually messaged Tate Martell about the story of Tom Brady and how he faced a similar situation to his when he had to fend off fierce competition from uber-hotshot QB, Drew Henson.

I told Tate about how close Brady was set on transferring to California, but instead of backing out, he went directly to Coach Carr, looked him in the eye and said: I'm going to win the starting job.  Even after that declaration, the starting qb wasn't given to him as he still had to earn it. He had to maximize every practice rep and every opportunity he got.

Eventually we know how the rest of the story turned out: not only did Brady end up having a successful career at Michigan, he even credits the tremendous competition he faced against Drew Henson for building that razor sharp mental toughness that has allowed him to become arguably the G.O.A.T.

I conveyed all of that to Tate as a genuine attempt to encourage a QB from our most hated rival school to not quit. "Hey man, if you act like Tom did, maybe you'll end up experience the same level of success."

What happened the next day?

Tate then announces that he is transferring.

LOL.

Kids these days.

So soft and just want to have things handed to them vs working their asses off for it.

Good.

But it baffles me…

Good.

But it baffles me she was even considered in the first place.

What the hell was that idiot…

What the hell was that idiot of an AD, Warde, thinking when he hired this snake for our gymnastics coach?

The optics of this move makes Michigan look terrible and no better than the idiots at East Landfill and at OSU.

I wouldn't be surprised if this plants seeds in the minds of some of the Regents to seriously questions Warde's judgment and consider firing him down the road.

Lots of staff turnover…

Lots of staff turnover happening at Alabama.

And to think many of us were flipping out a few days ago that we lost an old-beyond-his prime coach in Mattison and an OSU lean in Washington.

Welcome aboard Coach Gattis!…

Welcome aboard Coach Gattis! We're ready to have you make your mark here and imprint your legacy here on offense.

Can't wait!

I'm excited about this hire…

I'm excited about this hire. He's a coach who has a proven ability to get a lot out of talented WR's which we have for next year. I would be really excited if I were DPJ, Nico, Tarik Black or any of the WR on the team.

While posters on this thread and others raise legitimate questions of whether Gattis will have full reigns of the offense, I'm excited that Harbaugh is being proactive in strengthening our coaching staff.

Now let's see what happens with the DL and LB coaches that we need to replace.

Amen.

The fan pessimism…

Amen.

The fan pessimism here makes Michigan fans sound insufferable.

Excuse me "Albatross"?

Excuse me "Albatross"?

Some word of advice for you: If you don't agree with an opinion then a) either offer an intelligent counterpoint of your own instead of shit talking a fellow fan or b) shut up.

And judging by your comment I don't think I'm the one that has been drinking liquor here, buddy :)

Sorrell + Little will be Sr…

Sorrell + Little will be Sr's by the time Hinton lands on campus.

Whereas Mayfield will be RS SO and Keegan and Jones will most likely still be RS Freshmen.

Early playing time is always a factor and I don't discount that as a reason that Hinton chose Stanford over us.

GIven that we already have…

GIven that we already have Jaylen Mayfield, Trevor Keegan and Trente Jones ahead of him, I'm not surprised.

If it's just a 3 star player…

If it's just a 3 star player then it's going to be such a letdown at this point. Rather hear news on a top coach coming in.

Seriously...when you read…

Seriously...when you read the public meltdown on USC message boards, it makes me feel better about our situation.

Moving Hill to Viper would…

Moving Hill to Viper would be the biggest waste of his talent IMHO. Safety or Cornerback is where we need him the most.

And if the team is considering using him on offense when we have a boatload of talent there already is just more evidence that our coaching staff don't know how to use our best players.

Who has got it worse than us…

Who has got it worse than us????

USC!!!

Devin Bush Sr to Linebacker…

Devin Bush Sr to Linebacker Coach (secure his recruiting prowess for Florida)

Maybe Chris Partridge to D-Line coach (secure his recruiting prowess on the east coast)

This one certainly stings a…

This one certainly stings a lot, but to be honest I'm not that surprised given Al Washington's strong ties to OSU and his experience working with Ryan Day at BC.

As the previous poster…

As the previous poster mentioned, i prefer we keep a rising star in Al Washington and promote him to D Line.

But if he leaves...then i'm not opposed to the idea of bringing Hoke back.

Given the control that…

Given the control that Harbaugh has over the program, and with an AD that bows to him in reverence...I doubt it.

I was thinking he's a more…

I was thinking he's a more athletic Peyton Manning.  But Andrew Luck also makes sense too.

while losing Mattinson to…

while losing Mattinson to OSU is a blow to the ego, keep in mind that Nick Saban has lost 20 different assistants over the past 5 years. Last year, Saban lost his DC, Jeremy Pruitt, to an inter conference rival Tennessee.

So the optics don't look good for Mattinson bc he left for our most hated rival,  but we'll be ok.

What already impresses me…

What already impresses me about Brent Venables, Clemson's DC, is that he mixes up coverage almost when the play happens. in one play, the db's are lined up in man coverage but at the snap they immediately shift to a cover 2 that led to an interception.

Hello Don Brown? I hope you are watching and taking notes!

Uhhh...both offenses don't…

Uhhh...both offenses don't run it up the gut on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down?

Instead, they actually pass the ball?

And when they actually pass the ball, they don't do what we do which is pass to our big, slow clunky tight ends all the time but to actual 5 star recievers?

If Al Washington ends up…

If Al Washington ends up leaving for OSU, then I think I would have serious concerns about what exactly is going on in the Michigan team.

If Fields gains eligibility…

If Fields gains eligibility and wins the starting QB battle next year, then I bet he's going to end up better than Haskins was this year.
