As someone mentioned, this…

As someone mentioned, this is great since a lot of these athletes seem to do business while they are in the pros (if they make it) or want to get into business instead at some point.

I’m thinking that this is what Andrel Anthony was alluding to his is “crazy” tweet?

Hoping TB12 and Woodson wine/whisky opens up opportunities for some of these players!

Agreed. Some of the stuff…

Agreed. Some of the stuff coming out just didn't make sense. As someone else posted, why say goodbye and thank you before actually having a signed contract - even if it was a forgone conclusion.
I think we can all agree with absolute certainty that Jim Harbaugh loves Michigan and would not intentionally do something to put the program in a bad position by creating unnecessary negative attention/mess regarding staffing, recruiting, etc.

Or the Raiders... who seemingly would have hired him on the spot if coach showed interest.

I was in the camp of sad and discouraged if he had taken the job, but totally would've understood and supported him regardless. I really thought it could've been a done deal with the Vikings after reading about his relationship with their newly hired GM.

Glad AD Warde is just as good to coach? :)

Glad coach is back and doubt…

Glad coach is back and doubt we’ll ever fully know what happened behind closed doors. Like everyone, I have my guesses.

But I’m not sure I agree that there was a misunderstanding on his part. Mostly because he has had an NFL coaching job and I’m sure the interview process was similar. And he’s had multiple coaching jobs, so I think he has experienced his fair share.

Regardless, I’m glad this didn’t have any immediate and/or significant impact on recruiting and the staff. I guess we’ll also see some of the aftermath, good/bad, in the coming days.

go blue!

Thank you for the…

Thank you for the observation and insight! I tend to agree with your conclusion, that given all the back and forth, Dylan wanted to play for (and help) his father at N. Colorado. This seems very plausible.

If we at home can see how much Milton struggles to make consistent, catchable throws, it would be a huge stretch to think that Harbaugh didn't see the same thing. As many have said, there is a higher ceiling with Milton athletically, but I think most people, including coach, saw Dylan as the more polished QB to start this season.

The one thing I do recall from last season was how little they put in Dylan during junk time - that was a bit strange to me. But I highly doubt that was writing on the wall b/c as you mentioned, why would the McCaffreys be on campus to join in the protests in Sept. Maybe to save face with his teammates b/c he know he was going to get his degree but leave. That seems a bit odd that his family would join him then.

And it makes some sense to start the season with Joe instead of Cade for fear of Joe then hitting the transfer portal as well. But I do think that the switch should've happened much sooner (ugh sparty..)

Anyone from Grand Rapids, MI going?

Debating on driving down tonight but would prefer to carpool, anyone else planning to go from this area? Perhaps we could set a meeting place and carpool/caravan.

So proud of these boys and coaches talk about mental toughness!
