Tax deductible The PSD is a charitable donation, actually 80% of it is according to the tax code. So the true cost is PSD-(PSD *0.8 *tax rate). Season tickets are the way to go if you want to go to all the games. Stub hub may be cheaper for Miami Ohio but you'll pay a lot more for Minnesota, Indiana, and Penn State.
New user's post don't show up to general public I noticed when I post then later check a thread when not logged in, my posts are missing. Is this a point issue, can no one see my posts until I hit 100 points?
Here we go

I doubt I doubt a center makes or breaks anyones season. Nuss is bringing a more simple and more effective blocking scheme. Borges was too complex and the team failed to excute because of this.
Football Outsiders These guys are an analytical football prediction group. They are the Baseball Prospectus of football. Their system does a decent job predicting the NFL but with college football it is problematic given the high player turnover and uncertainly between seasons in college versus the NFL. 3% chance of one loss or fewer, what does this actually mean? It is an arbitrary number spit out of a formula which is slightly more accurate than throwing darts at a wall. My non-analytical prediction says Michigan will win all home games and lose one or two on the road.
All you have to do Donate $500 or more to the athletic department and you will get offered tickets if they are available. They likely will be available this year but the deadline technically has passed. I would call the Athletic Department and see if you can be eligible to buy season tickets this year. The deadline was April 15 but I bet they would allow you do it this year. They are pretty reasonable. I'd do this tomorrow since new season ticket offers are going out in early March. When Michigan goes undefeated next year, the fair weather fans who did not renew will be scrambling to get them back. So best to get them now when demand is low.
Team will be just fine Caris, Irvin, and Walton are as great of a trio as anyone in the country. Irvin shot almost as good of a percentage from outside as Nik, and that's with taking some very questionable shots. He has as much talent as anyone in the Big Ten. Walton was very impressive last year for a freshman. He is only going to get better. Caris will be one of the top all around players in the nation.
The War on Drugs The War on Drugs claims another victim. Good job America.
Interesting but... This chain of posts is interesting, it is hard to know what this means given the small sample size and obvious posting bias. Many people indicate they can save money buying tickets on Stubhub. Are there any data to back this claim? Last year I went to the Notre Dame game and the tickets cost as much as half the cost of season tickets. I expect this year you could do ok going through stubhub but next year I doubt you could do this, unless you plan to miss out on the best games.
Better off without him double post, damn ipad
Better off without him Second string center, who cares. Chemistry and experience are important for a center. He has to read the defense and make the calls on the line. I'd rather have someone who's been around for more than a month doing this.
What DB is doing is getting What DB is doing is getting everyone to pay as much as they are willing to pay. He sets the bar high initially, collects what he can, then lowers the price through special offers to capture everyone with a lower price point. Simply setting the price to match the supply demand curve misses out on a lot of money. DB's goal is to collect everything under the curve, and he's doing a damn good job at it. At least the money is going back to U of M.
I called the AD today

They told me season tickets for the Blue Zone and up were pretty much all sold/renewed.  So the remaining tickets are in the end zone/corners.  This was not surprising but says that at least 70% of the seats for next year are sold already.

I am sure they will offer heavily discounted ticket packs this year... buy App St., Miami Ohio get Minneasota free.  Any remaining seats Michigan can place on stub hub for a reduced price without the public/season ticket holders knowing it.

DB knows how to squeeze the most money possible out of the consumer.   He did it at Domino's by selling cardboard marketed as pizza.  He's doing it at Michigan by screwing over the faithful.

New season ticket hopeful I made my donation to the athletic dept a month ago to get on the interest list. I was worried about not getting offered season tickets. I don't think it will be an issue after seeing this. I understand why many people are not renewing but I see this as an opportunity to lock up some sweet seats for years to come. That being said, stundent tickets should be free. Michigan needs to look at the big picture.
Great time I had a lot of fun at the Spring Game. It was a beautiful, sunny day. Felt like fall. The team looked great. I came away with a sense of optimism. The highlight was when Desmond Howard caught an overthrown pass and ran the ball into the end zone, flashing the Heisman pose. Can't beat an afternoon in the Big House.
Too early for next year but... I'm excited to see Walton and Irvin in 2014-15. If they make the strides that LeVert and Stauskas made this year (and if McGary comes back) its going to be awesome.
Overall a great year Big Ten Champs. That banner will waive forever. Every player made huge strides. They overcame adversity. Hail.
Actually, I know they will. Actually, I know they will.
I'll take a tie at the half Michigan played poorly. I believe they will step it up.

Don't worry John Harbaugh We'll take you back.
radio Perhaps you can stream the radio feed. The March Madness app lets you do this.
Here we go Maybe the best first half of the year. Go Blue.
MGOBlah This thread starts every third day. Someone complains about the music, the urinals, the fact you can't have a keg in the stands, DB this DB that, tickets used to cost $5, my parking pass is too much... blah blah blah It's 2014. Although the world has changed since your glory years in college, Michigan football remains the greatest experience in college athletics.
Camera angles kinda suck Feel like 10% of the action is cut off. Also all the seats are angled toward mid court. Odd arrangement Illinois.
All this for a kicker

Obviously this is a horrible situation and the fact that MSU also has an investigation does not make this any better.

I just cannot believe the program would put itself at risk for a kicker.  It is strange because there were no charges filed in 2009 after an investigation.  Why was this brought up again 4 years later?

This whole story does not make sense which concerns me that something is not right here.  They should have kicked Gibbons out of school back when it happened or not at all if the investigation did not turn anything up.

This story is no story Just another example of the media blowing up a non-story. There is no way Harbaugh is leaving the Niners, especially for the worst team in the league minus a few top draft picks. He wants a Super Bowl and there is no chance he is getting this with the Browns or the Wolverines.
J. Ira and Nicki Maybe J. Ira and Nicki Harris can spare another 10 mil to lure Harbaugh away from the NFL.
Actually Being at the game is much better and always will be better than watching the game on TV. Being at the stadium makes you part of the game, TV will never give you that. TV doesn't provide you with multiple angles, it forces you to view the game from a single angle determined by someone sitting in a booth. In person you can see all 22 and watch the play develop. TV focuses on the ball and you miss a lot of the action. I would say if someone actually cares that there is no wifi at the game then he probably doesn't care much about the game. This is football.
New season ticket hopeful I recently moved back to Michigan and am planning to purchase season tickets for the first time. As a newbie, I find several points made on this thread (and repeatedly on this site) interesting. Everyone seems to hate Dave Brandon but all he is doing is capturing the money that would be made on the secondary market. This money is going to the University not to some corporate bigwig. It sounds like several fans are upset that they will not turn a profit on their tickets this year. From what I can tell a lot of people buy extra tickets solely to resell them on the secondary market. I do not have much sympathy for those fans. If you don't want to pay $2400 for seats on the fifty then move. The PSD for the end zone is $75 (closer to $50 after the tax deduction). Do you know how much it costs for an NFL PSL? No tax deduction there.
