The apathy is just part of the culture out here. People really don't care about college sports like they do in the Midwest. Perhaps because the former PAC 12 CA schools are all pretty hard to get into (SC being the easiest and worst academically and they suck). Not like a lot of Midwest BIG schools that'll take just about anybody (osu, msu, iu, psu, iowa, etc.)
Is the consensus not that Harbaugh is just demanding unrealistic terms so he can claim he wanted to come back to Michigan even though he really just wants to go back to the NFL?
Umm, either Chip and his staff are the worst coaches ever or this guy is just not very good. I've never seen a guy throw directly to the other team so frequently.

Also, I don't buy the warning to other BT schools to be scared about the precedent this sets (and I don't think they do either). I'm of the opinion that an egregious overreach of power like this would only happen to Michigan. The other schools in the conference just don't hold this level of baseline animosity towards each other. Not even toward OSU who's been dominating the heck out of them for 20 years.
Good take on the game. I think he's being too cautious on his criticism of the Big 10. Don't agree at all with his take that Petitti should've penalized Michigan given the evidence they have. It's clearly a gross abuse of power. Especially egregious considering this all happened to come out perfectly timed for Michigan's toughest stretch of the schedule. The Big 10 is being actively hostile to a member of its conference and depriving them of due process. It's a gross attempt by interested parties to try to get an advantage on Michigan off the field because they're scared to play straight up. Petitti clearly wouldn't have taken these actions if not for the pressure from rival coaches, their trumped-up rhetoric and absurdly exaggerated claims, and a coordinated attack with corporate media schmucks. Petitti is a coward. The colluding corporate media journos are cowards. The other Big 10 programs are cowards and we're beating their asses despite whatever unfounded penalties they try to impose to sway the competitive balance. The other Big 10 programs are an embarrassment, they're petulant, they're envious, and they're a bunch of malicious poor sports.
Was just watching Return of the King last night...Is the Battle of Pelennor Fields not the perfect parallel of this whole situation?!? I just imagine Harbaugh as Theoden on the ridge, before the riders of Rohan charge down towards the orks, who of course are the perfect parallel for ohio state fans. Then further on when the Haradrims approach with their oliphaunts, that's the Big 10 coaches, ADs and Pete Thamel. Then Theoden says to "reform the line!" Brings me to tears, thinking this is where we are right now with Ono and the administration in lockstep with Harbaugh and the team. Not sure who our Dead Men of Dunharrow will be but I hope they're coming. Give those clips a review on the Youtube and tell me it isn't a perfect representation of this whole thing.
