Agree with you on recruiting but it's hard to recruit consistent 4/5 star kids when our academic standards are much higher than that of Bama, Clemson and OSU. Not saying that I necessarily want this to change but just calling a spade a spade where it becomes much harder to recruit elite athletes who aren't meeting the academic standard.
Just vocalizing the importance of this game isn't going to be enough here. I honestly think we don't go above and beyond to prepare for this game. Every day after practice, MSU sets aside some time to do something extra to prepare for the Michigan game. Maybe Michigan does the same but I haven't heard of it.
We need coaches to watch Ohio State film every single week during the season and the players need to do something extra during practice every day to prepare for this game. Then, maybe then, we'll have a chance at winning this game
I'm curious to know what the expectations truly are for Michigan fans? What if we lose against ND, MSU and OSU and go 9-3. Is that reasonable? Should we be satisfied?
I need to realign my expectations as well and like most other people here I tend to get my expectations up (Big ten championship and in the CFP) every year before the season starts. Not sure where I should be at now though. Thoughts?
I don't know what to do anymore. The only thing I can do is change my expectations for this football team. We should ALWAYS judge a football team by how they finish and not by where we 'think the future' will be.
Either we change our expectations as fans of this football team to mediocrity so that we're never dissapointed or we keep expectations high and constantly get dissapointed.
Either way, I don't want to talk about next year's team until January 2019 (end of the season). All this pre-season hype is complete bullshit and doesn't get us anywhere.
Do you think we have any chance of getting Shannon Turley back in the conversation here as the next S&C coach? He deserves a lot more credit for helping turn Stanford football (and athletics) around.
Honestly if I were him I would totally sit out too. Although it's a selfish decision but he literally has nothing to gain for himself by playing in this game besides risking injury

he's still carrying the ball in his left hand. Until I see that ball in his right hand, I'm assuming he won't be able to catch the ball
I agree with this. If I had to guess, I think flag football will gain a lot more popularity in the future
This is truly awesome! Thanks for sharing

Agree wtih what you say here. Although, I can totally see the patriots taking him in a very late round and molding him into the next Gronkowski.
ugggh this is definitely a little painful to look at
I'm not going to get excited about any future season or preseason rankings. Not until we win a big game in general or on the road

This is amazing...describes our recruiting perfectly today
I use LastPass as well. It's definitely worth it
Completely agree. I'm staying cautiously optimistic. Even if we lose though, I know Bielein will have this team ready to go in March
doesn't matter...if he left we would've been worse off. i'll take it
yaass!!!
So excited! Thank you so much guys
I like it! In Don Brown I trust
Not over it...Haven't been over it for the last 10+ years because we haven't won a Big Ten Championship. Once that happens...then I'll get over it
Good luck to him. Jim can now focus on getting a home-run OL coach hire

YAYYY
Agreed. His only TD has come on a punt return. Need to start targeting him more in one-on-one coverages
