What about the Ravens decision to kick a field goal on 4th and goal from the 1? In that situation, I'd think taking a knee would be better than kicking a field goal, since you are very likely to get amazing field position on your next posession.
Watching Stanford go into triple overtime against an unranked opponent reminded me how much all this can change in a second when you least expect it. Heck, even Minnesota won a game yesterday.
Anything is possible, and as long as there is a 1 in a million chance, I'm still going to dream about Michigan sliding into #2 before the end of the season. Don't forget 2007 when Ohio was celebrating with roses after beating us, and then rose from #7 to #1 while not even playing.
Is there a reason pretty much all the comments I make using a computer get blocked by "your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted"?
I can usually make one comment, but it happens on the second and I basically get banned for a day. The android app works fine though.
I might be getting a capcha wrong, but I've tried to be extra careful with them. Still, I don't see why getting one wrong should shut you down completely.
I don't remember them getting any false starts because of the noise. So then, the line was being overly hesitant because they couldn't hear the snap counts?
In any case, I love to hear this. The noise level was pretty mild I thought. The loudest I ever remember it was last year against Iowa when it looked like we were mounting a comeback, and earlier this year under the lights.
I also have a policy of never leaving early, regardless of the score. I had several friends leave for 2004 msu and 2008 Wisconsin, and never want to have that happen to me.
Of course, now I'm so fanatical I enjoy watching garbage time drives because I want to see how well the backups perform.
Behind the Colts AND Dolphins? I don't think they are that bad.
It's worse for basketball. So few students had tickets last year I was in the bleachers for every game. They weren't even full after the games had started. The year before that, I think I made it that close 3 or 4 times max.
Except for Boise and Virginia Tech, everyone ahead of us plays someone else ahead of us.
Lots of room to move up.

After watching Stanford struggle yesterday, I'm thinking there will be a 1 loss team in the BCS championship game. Could it be us? I like to keep the dream alive. If we beat Nebraska, it should be a huge boost in the polls.
The big ten won't gain any respect by beating Cincinnati. It is basically the TCU situation from last year. If you win, so what. If you lose, it's embarrassing.
Are there any safety features for that thing? What if the engine suddenly gave out, it's not like an airplane where you can glide around with no power.
If I remember correctly, Tate threw at him two years ago in the Ohio game, but it wasn't caught.
Yeah, I thought all the night games were decided before the season. Have they ever "converted" an afternoon game to a night one?
They pretty much have to lose to Iowa, in any scenario. It is important they lose a division game for tiebreaker purposes, so I suppose northwestern could also serve that purpose. Both games are on the road and state doesn't play well when they aren't at home.
Considering how poorly their offense played for 58 minutes yesterday, I can't possibly see them winning out. Their defense created 4 turnovers that were only converted to 3 points.
Novak is one of my favorite athletes. He played out of position for so long but really held his ground for years. The leadership he shows is extraordinary, and he shows the most determination I've seen out of a college athlete.

You missed an interception return. The one that gave us the lead over Wisconsin in 2008

The press boxes made a huge impact, and I think the new scoreboards this year added to it even further.
Even during the Western Game, I couldn't hear the band at all during pregame, and I never remember crowd nosie being that loud.

I liked the flyover because when he pointed the nozzles our way, it was loud. Most flyovers look cool, but only a few rock your bones.

Even during the miracle season of 2006 I don't think half the students made it to the non-marquee games before the end of the first quarter.
There is a clear absence of Matt Millen this time around.

They've been blaming that stuff on the lack of summer practice time. Still, after 8 weeks??

Eastern Michigan. They're almost bowl eligible!

It seems too high, but who are you going to put ahead of us? As far as 1 loss teams go, we are already among the lowest ranked.

If 1500 ft is a record, these things must hold only seconds of fuel. He probably exhausted his entire supply during the flyover.

I made something cool and actually joined the board so I could share it. If you don't want to play with it then don't.
It's just a website. It's not like it's asking you to download anything.
I honestly though jetpacks were fictional. I was thoroughly confused and amazed when it took off and flew around.

That is assuming we beat Nebraska, which gives them their second loss. Their other one was Wisconsin.
Our second loss would be to Ohio.
We would win the 3-way tie breaker in this scenario, because of division record:

Yesterday's Ohio vs Wisconsin game is HUGE.
I made the following website to compute who would finish as the champion of each divison (programmed in all the tie breakers, etc).

Check out this very reasonable scenario, if we don't take care of business against Ohio:
