Yeah, that was Sam Wyly who used to have a building named after him.
I get the feeling that some people on this board are jealous of wealth, and buy the liberal mantra that someone must suffer for another to prosper.
Larry Page is worth $30 Billion, but he is only 42 years old. I can't imagine a 42 year old guy is coming anywhere close to thinking about cashing out.
If this money serves as the capital needed to start companies which eventually employ 100k people in SE Michigan, I don't see how you could classify this as a bad thing. It's the whole "Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he'll eat forever" situation. The goal is to create objects and organizations that are self sustaining, and this eliminates the need for Government and charitable organizations to keep people afloat.
Trust me, I don't believe the business community is perfect. But capitalism has lifted more people out of povevrty than any other system ever created.
Serious question........
Do you have a grasp of what the word "entrepreneur" means?
(Hint: It does a lot more good for the general population than throwing money at homeless people)
The labor market is much smaller now than it was in the 90s, and while the baby boomers are beginning to retire they are still largely a part of the job market. If kids weren't automatically being pushed through and allowed to delay employment until 22(or later), the labor market in this country would be in absolutely horrible shape right now.
Sometimes I wonder if the common app is actually a good thing for the school. Michigan seems to have benefitted in the past from selecting and graduating students who excel to the pinnacle of their field in specific areas. The common app seems to gear things toward the most obedient well rounded students who are also above average intelligence.
Maybe this prepares students well for a job market where it's not uncommon to have a new job every 3-4 years, but it doesn't seem to necessarily be conducive for graduating students who innovate and become entrepreneurs who think far outside of the box.
As long as Wilcher is coach, it will be a UM stronghold. I'm not surprised 2015 was a bad year with the coaching situation, and it's way too early to say anything about 2016 and 2017.
Being drafted in the second round isn't really a big deal anymore though. Still have to get to the second contract, which I don't see people doing from that system.
I haven't had Happy's since the one in Ann Arbor had a "friendly fire" a couple years ago. Agree though, they had solid pizza for around the same pricing.
My guess is that they've gradually decreased quality to keep the price at $5 over that time. Now they are releasing the new deep dish items with higher margins to subsidise the $5 round.
Exactly. By having stronger physiques men need to learn restraint. However, it's not like these guys are just going around punching innocent random females walking down the street. I would bet that in most of these cases the female is the aggressor, and the player restrains himself for a while until he eventually just snaps and can't take it anymore.
I'm obviously very against hitting women, but to see it become such a widespread problem down there it must have something to do with the antics of the females as well. I'm interested to know what's being done to provoke this type of behavior.

I'd recommend stepping your game up a bit. No college grad should be driving a $4000 beater car.
It sounds like they're trying to find someone who is enough of a sucker to pay them money to acquire a perpetual liaility.
Haha, no thank you.
Yep, Gary is an animal. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at DE in college, but he's the type of player worth 1-2 wins per year on his own.
If Bush hasn't committed by now, I'd put the chance at around 0% of him being in this class.

At this point, that's just paper wealth.

Do
A portion of the Top 25% could have also received a 34. In fact, it's probably a larger portion than those who received a 35 or 36.

I agree. Also, NY style doesn't usually have a lot of sauce and is often charred. IMO, sauce is the best part and really makes a pizza great.
I ended up going to happy hour yesterday and got really hammered. Today, I'm drinking a very large glass of water.

It's better at Comerica and Joe Louis Arena, but also three times the price.
That video is a perfect example of things.
Although it feels like Summer just started, I can't wait for Fall this year.

I agree. He obviously writes about topics which interest me, but he embellishes the stories and makes items up to make it more interesting.
I'm finished reading his work.
I haven't been reading much of your work lately Brian, but you are one hilarious bastard.
