My prediction:
Fuck Ohio
November 25th, 2023 at 7:48 AM ^
We made the same prediction
November 25th, 2023 at 8:10 AM ^
Damn right!
Every year around this time I watch old games, both wins and losses, and every year it seems I’m shocked again at the wild discrepancies between UM kicking field goals while OSU scored TDs.
Michigan’s red zone defense is the difference today.
23-16
November 25th, 2023 at 7:38 AM ^
This is the same Ryan Day OSU team he has trotted out the last few years. Just keep punching them in the mouth and they will go crying home to Columbus.
35-21 Michigan.

Close to the actual score
November 25th, 2023 at 7:40 AM ^
I'm too lazy to redo this for every thread, so here's a copy-and-paste of my prediction, and I'm sticking to it:
Like my prediction from 2021, here's my prediction by quarter. I'm thinking that OSU does "ok" as long as they can run, but we just have too much for their defense to handle. Once they get behind, every defensive series is a chaos of Kyle McCord trying to live until supper time. But our offense keeps rolling.
As it becomes apparent that OSU are not the defensive juggernaut that they thought, their will begins to break too. We (literally) run them into the ground with two long drives that bridge Q 3–4 and then take up the bulk of the rest of the 4th.:
Q1 21–10
Q2 14–3
Q3 10–0
Q4 14–0
Total: 59–13
The headlines are then dominated by b.s. about how having Harbaugh on the sidelines isn't that important, but also a few reasonable takes that "It's not the signs and the scouts, but the players that make the routs."
November 25th, 2023 at 8:37 AM ^
Sorry but up 45-13 in the 3rd? If that dream came true it would then be the greatest turtling in the history of sport. We would likely see 9 OL and Mullings for all of the 4th.
November 25th, 2023 at 8:51 AM ^
you mean 10 OL and Orji
November 25th, 2023 at 9:09 AM ^
And we would STILL run for two more TDs over the rest of the 3rd and all of the 4th.
But yes, this is my fan dream, and I'm happy to enjoy it.

27- 14 Michigan . Fire up time to shut up the haters! Let's go!
November 25th, 2023 at 7:48 AM ^
I’ve been tossing this around in my head all week and keep coming up with 31-20 M.
Just can’t get passed the line matchups on both sides of the ball. Our DL might be the best in history here in both overall talent and depth, and as Brian said, it’s aimed perfectly at the weakest spots on OSUs offense.
Likewise our interior OL might be the best in the country and we have a willingness to lean on teams. While OSUs DL is very talented, they only go 5 deep across the board. Look for duo early and often, as well as it’s constraints and counters, those 3 and 4 yard runs will become 6 and 7 yard runs come late in the 3rd.
November 25th, 2023 at 8:40 AM ^
I thought of this today as also the strongest point. We are 9 deep on the DL and 6,5 deep on the OL with the possible Hinton injury. They are 4.5 deep on the DL with their DT banged up. And 5 deep with a dramatic cyan on the OL. The difference in such a game, for them, would be a playmaking QB who could erase some of that. Oops. That guy is on our side.
November 25th, 2023 at 8:45 AM ^
We are the Gambinos, and Day is the rat. We all know how this ends for Day.
November 25th, 2023 at 8:52 AM ^
This is what I’ve been thinking all along. I just don’t see how they keep McCord clean with our interior lineman wrecking havoc.
31-20 is the same score in my one. GO BLUE.

Ryan Day 20
Then Ryan Day's head a'splodes.
November 25th, 2023 at 7:52 AM ^
JJ throws for 300 yards, 2 TDs, no picks.
Corum gets 2, Donovan returns one for a TD, and Sainristil gets a pick-6.
We go into half-time up 42-0. Petitti suspends our starters for the second half, citing an unfair competitive advantage and player safety. Mullings scores another 2 touchdowns and we win 56-3, as Ryan Day forgoes a 4th and inches from the goalline for a sad field goal.

Sticking with 31-20, Good guys, aka America's team, Michigan.
November 25th, 2023 at 8:00 AM ^
38-20 bad guys. Harrison wins the Heisman with 3 TDs and Moore confirms that he needs more HC experience at a smaller school before taking over here as he comes out with another conservative game plan that doesn’t let JJ get into the game until it’s too late.
November 25th, 2023 at 8:08 AM ^
Booo
I’m not as concerned as you are about Harrison, but Moore wearing so many hats will continue to worry me, and that’s the big, “What if…”
What if what we saw at PSU and Maryland wasn’t just conservative to not show OSU anything, but the result of an interim HC not sure what to do and we see the continuation of that today?
Hopefully Harbaugh has a pregame speech ready for Moore and the staff today.
November 25th, 2023 at 10:43 AM ^
This will be the most scripted, most look-up-in-the-notes game Michigan has ever played.
November 25th, 2023 at 8:01 AM ^
America’s Team: 31
osu: 20
UM is in control the whole game like the psu game but a few big time plays from MHJ are super frustrating and keep it tight…but that UM d line is no joke and KM isn’t ready for that, at all. This ends up being his “welcome to the big leagues” game.

28-26, Michigan. It’ll be uncomfortable at times, and we’ll be clenching at the end—but we’ll get it done.

Not sure why your head says tOSU should win. The matchups, bar WR-DB, all favor Michigan.
My head says that Michigan should win handily, as in 31-17, barring extreme bad luck. It's my heart that fears that Some Damned Thing will come along and rob Michigan of the win.
I'm going with my head.
November 25th, 2023 at 8:16 AM ^

November 25th, 2023 at 8:18 AM ^
Have not been encouraged by our performances under Moore. Too much juggling of duties for him IMO. If Harbaugh were on the sidelines, I think we win by multiple scores. Without him, I’m worried if we get behind at all. Have to win the first half IMO.
OSU 31, Michigan 27
November 25th, 2023 at 9:25 AM ^
Kind of agree unfortunately..we have 3 samples BG, PSU and MD of our offense looking like shit with poor play calling
Hoping for the best though
November 25th, 2023 at 8:19 AM ^
48-30 UM
November 25th, 2023 at 8:20 AM ^
UM 34 - Tuff Guys! 10
Lots of misdirection and motion early to use OSUs aggression and defensive ends flying up field against them. Use of both TEs and Edwards in the passing game loosens up their front 7. Then back to ground and pound with Corum and Mullings! delivering body blows. Finally, a play action shot downfield to deliver the dagger.
McCord struggles with the pressure of the moment and his limited mobility leave him helpless. Day tries to use screens, draws and the run game to neutralize UM’s d-line, but the smoke and mirrors eventually fails.MHJ makes 1 or 2 incredible tip your cap plays, but it’s mostly a slog for OSU.
It will be Michigan again, Michigan!
