If they do, I want them to If they do, I want them to hire Eagles OC Frank Reich, though I also like Patriots DC Matt Patricia.
Yes Sherrer left for Yes Sherrer left for Tennessee. Though that probably improves the chances UT may have. Also, I think UGA doesn’t have room for Reese. So that helps. And I think the main competition for Friday is Ohio State, as they’ve gotten several crystal ball predictions for him. I think Michigan can win both of these.
Shoe Pattelton Shoe Pattelton
Probably going to wait until Probably going to wait until we see Peters again in the Bowl game. But almost assuredly Peters or Patterson. my tentative guess is still Peters though. Patterson is electrifying but does have some really bad moments (Alabama, Cal). Tentative edge for Peters due to experience in Harbaugh offense but Patterson could easily be the starter
I mean those two players I mean those two players specifically have been injured a fair amount this season. Most of the Lions OL has been in and out. Decker just got back 2 weeks ago, Swanson and Lang have been in and out w/ concussions, Wagner has been banged up. Graham glasgow has been the only healthy one.

Probably would’ve been A&M’s Probably would’ve been A&M’s backup option if they didn’t get Jimbo.

A bit surprised UM isn’t A bit surprised UM isn’t going after Brown, especially with Ekiyor out of the picture.
Chinander as DC is a bit of a Chinander as DC is a bit of a let down for them. Definitely thought they could’ve gotten someone better there.
The correct statement is we The correct statement is we were beating Wisconsin before Peters got hurt. Score was 10-7 Michigan. JOK coming in killed every ounce of offense we had to that point.

Agreed. Move really only Agreed. Move really only makes sense if Patterson is eligible immediately. If he’s not, I’d prefer Michigan stick with who they have. Peters showed plenty of promise in his time this year, McCaffrey seems to be getting some hype from within the program, Milton is high upside and enrolling early. But, if Harbaugh wants to bring in Patterson, then I’m all for it.
On Instragram nowsadays, On Instragram nowsadays, people can do a live video that any of their followers can watch live. There’s a bar at the bottom that shows who else has “joined”, which means they are now also watching. The viewers are then capable of typing out live comments that appear on the bottom of the screen that everyone, including the person shooting the video can see and respond to.
Maybe, but Texas A&M has more Maybe, but Texas A&M has more money to throw around than just about anyone else in CFB. They’d be able to land a good head coach if they moved on from sumlin. If Sumlin didn’t get picked up as a HC coach somewhere else, i would love to Michigan try and snag him on staff as an OC of sorts.
Also will be nice to

Also will be nice to emphasize this lineup in crunch time. Brooks looks like he can be the better PG down the road, but neither he nor Simpson is going to be much of a plus with the game on the line. Brooks ball-handling and lack of defense arguably cost them LSU. He definitely provides more life to the offense, but not enough to keep him in during a close game. MAAR seems like he can handle a lot of ball handling responsibility.

Come on people, the solution Come on people, the solution is obvious: run the incredibly successful Chris Evans wildcat package the entire game.
Nah probably not. Nah probably not.
Honestly I’m fine either way. Honestly I’m fine either way. Brandon Peters has looked good this season in his time thus far. Speight has also played plenty of good football last year, and if he’s coming back this season he’ll definitely be playing for his job. Rumors about McCaffrey indicate he’ll be pretty good soon. If the staff wants to bring in Patterson, that’s totally fine. If not, Michigan will be fine as well.
My guess is that a lifetime My guess is that a lifetime contract would be low on financial substance (i.e. not necessarily Harbaugh gets a 30 year extension for $250 million or whatever) but instead moreso is a document showing pomp and circumstance on Michigan’s commitment to harbaugh and vice versa.
To help clarify what those To help clarify what those phrases are, as someone who coaches OL, a “big-on-big” (BOB) blocking scheme is similar to man coverage. Based on the front that the defense is in, each offensive lineman has a man assignment, often determined based on some sort of “Mike” or Point ID call that you often see centers and sometimes even QBs making (Matt Stafford consistently re-IDs the Mike for the Lions each time they audible). So what that means is that the center calls out on LB as being his assignment perhaps, and that tells everyone else on the line which man they’d be responsible for. The advantages here are that you can adjust the assignments to ensure you are blocking the 5 most threatening blitzers. Disadvantages are that you have OL setting everywhich way, increasing your susceptibility to stunts if they are not taking good sets. Slide protection is a gap responsibility. So for example, each OL is responsible for the gap to their left, then you have a TE or RB responsible for the end man on the line of scrimmage (EMOL). This is a very basic protection, pretty easy to pick up blocks with, but your issue is that often you end up getting a running back on the EMOL, which is usually a DE. Slide protections are usually more built into a quick game attack due to that reason. Michigan really doesn’t use quick game much, so it’s understandable that they don’t use slide protection that much. Most teams use a combo protection however, which is a concept that combines the two. So for example you can have a combo protection that has the LT, LG, and C in a zone slide to the left, while the RG, RT have BOB responsibilities to the backside. The center is usually then tasked with staying on the NT if the nose tackle stunts to his right. Additionally, the running back will have their usual count on LBs to identify and then block a blitzing LB. in a combo protection, it’s likely that their “count” will start w/ the LBs on the man side.
i would be in for a PS3 i would be in for a PS3 dynasty.
Sounds like UM is out of the Sounds like UM is out of the running for Michael Thompson but feels really good about their chances to land Tyler Friday. Also getting a lot of interest from Florida commit Taylor Upshaw, who’s a DE, I believe
Pass protection is not Pass protection is not something you can simplify down to a mental issue. That’s a fairly ignorant statement. Pass protection as an offensive tackle is one of the most physically challenging jobs in football. It’s highly dependent on meticulously crafted technique, balance, speed, agility, power. Now to say that he has all of those tools and just doesn’t have it together yet (mental issue) is more reasonable, but that’s nearly impossible to tell w/o knowing exact techniques being taught, assignments,
Also Running back is a Also Running back is a position that quite often lends itself towards high production from lower level guys (recruiting wise).
After just reading some posts After just reading some posts on their 247 forum, it seems like most Maryland fans disagree. They’re are many threads calling for him to be fired, which is a bit absurd. They’ve lost SEVERAL QBs this season. It’s hard enough losing your starter alone, but they’re even beyond that. Tough season for Durkin, really hope he can establish a solid program.
Yes, especially given Yes, especially given Ulizio’s inability to be any better in pass protection.
I originally had been hoping I originally had been hoping to go 10-2. 9-3 as a Record is fine, but I’ve been pretty disappointed with the actual performances thus far. I had hoped the team would be getting significantly better as the season went on. They gotten better, just not as much as hoped. Still optimistic that next season could be a big one for the program.
Possibly guys who had some Possibly guys who had some slight interest in michigan earlier, or guys who he sees as being similar to the type of players Harbaugh wants. Also, I think giving Tyrone Sampson another call now that Ekiyor flipped
I mean as far as hiring a I mean as far as hiring a replacement for Wheatley as RB coach went, I had actually really really wanted the guy Hart is replacing, Deland McCullough, he’s now been hired to be the RB coach out at USC. I too would love to see Mike Hart coaching at Michigan sometime soon. I hope it can happen!
It would take wayyy too much It would take wayyy too much for Michigan to sneak in this year. Might be possible, but it would require far tooo many unlikely upsets to be realistically expected in almost any capacity
No, but coaches develop No, but coaches develop emotional connections to their players, to schools, to people there. It’s still not something to cheer on.
Especially given that Florida Especially given that Florida has the resources to be able to compete with Alabama and Georgia on a yearly basis. Not surprising that they made the move given that they’re falling behind. Issue is that I don’t really see any top candidates available for them. Dan Mullen may be their best option. He’s a very solid coach but I don’t think he has the sort of potential they’d need to compete with Alabama or Georgia.
Well Bama would play Georgia Well Bama would play Georgia in the SEC championship so that would likely settle things for one of them.
