Love this board but goodness

Love this board but goodness you guys sometimes are so ridiculous with your comments from the watchtower.

She wanted him out of town and away from the gangs and crew that he was hanging around and violence in Florida that her son's crowd was always a part of.

Yes she was a bit upset and acted immaturely but to rake her across the leaves as a bad parent or that she's taking money and it's ruining her payday.

Get it together people.

Honestly, I don't think the

Honestly, I don't think the talent gap was that wide (sans anyone being able to stay with Cook for the first half). Execution is what killed us. Michigan should have been at least 2 TD's ahead towards the end of the game but execution bit us in the arse, repeatedly. Don't get me wrong, FSU has recruited their asses off the past 5 years. But the only place that their talent showed being superior was our O line, which has been an issue for quite a few seasons now.

As a Chicagoan.... yeah... O...line.... and QB are things that I don't like to talk about often *hangs head*

I ain't sayin she's a gold

I agree. Keep with your inner circle but also do what you feel is best for yourself. Did you break up with her for kissing someone on NYE? Did she come home feeling bad and tell you about it? Did she brag about it and break up with you? There are plenty of ways this could have gone down, you weren't there. Not excusing her behavior at all. Just stay strong and think about the situation, what it means... and how you're going to react as a couple and individual from here on to that situation.

Keep your head up.

Walking around through Boston

Walking around through Boston Logan Intl Airport, several Osu'rs actually walked up to me and said good game dude, you guys deserve to be there. I said terrible spot... TERRIBLE... all but one shrugged and said idk man... but admitted that Michigan beat them the entire game. The one guy even said go blue and sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

The Michigan fans, however started a go blue chant on the moving walkway. It was rather amusing.

One guy was with his wife on the plane who was an OSU fan said The spot was horrible.. the missed holding call on the samuels scramble was horrible... the missed PI's were horrible... the missed offsides calls were horrible.. lol she agreed.

I made a bet with one of the clients last week. He's going to be insufferable this week.

Go Blue!

Blatter Sepp Blatter and it's not even close. Sepp - Gives negative fucks. The most corrupt former president of the most corrupt sports organization surrounded by the most corrupt allies from the most corrupt countries. FIFA has left most of the countries that the World Cup has been held in crippling debt. Imagine the Mob running the NFL with payouts, rigged elections and people randomly disappearing. Roger - Gives zero fucks. The most inconsistently over-bearing, self-serving, my way or the highway, accept no fault type of leader... what fire? There's no fire. I'm making bacon. Either he's clueless or a grade A sociopath. He says things so confidently that it almost makes you think that he's doing things in your best interest, then smiles while getting boo'd and walks away just as confident. Gary - Has fucks to give, doesn't give them. Shrewd, shrewd, shrewd businessman that has created a ton of wealth for the NHL while at the same time causing an extreme amount of tension between owners and players with the multiple lockouts. He does what he feels is the best decision for the league financially. He's a numbers guy, popularity to him means nothing. His ridiculous stance on CTE is what has him this high on the list for me. Owners have more to say and to do with the lockouts than he does, but he could have stepped in. Also.. he gets paid almost 10 million a year... look at the majority of NHL salaries. The rest. Delaney is a tool that really seems like he has no idea wtf he's doing and doesn't have a backbone. Think chicken little puppet. Bowlsby blames everyone for his shortcomings and gets overexcited when the league finally does something right. Think the kid in school that never passes a class but "no child left behind" keeps him going, then gets happy when he's not last in the spelling bee. Sankey is a whiny pouting toddler that won't pay attention to the issues in his own conference and hates any competition. Think of when the popular kid sees new kids transfer and tries to sabotage their every existence. One former one that was missed is David Stern. Haaaateeeed that guy!!!

That was a huge sound

That was a huge sound defensive win. Hornibrook made a few great passes on their scoring drive. Our defense pretty much shut them down the entire game. Defense came out on top big time wow.

Concerns.... Who...How....What? ----- What's a kicker and what the hell is up with all of those penalties??? Sloppy game offensively. So sloppy. I understand the playcalling with the game so tight but so many runs right into their defense. A few times the RB's saw holes and stepped into them big time. Other times... not sure if they were missed assignments on the sacks or if TJ Watt is just that amazing off of the end.

Good win. We need more work on cutting back on the penalties and mental errors. That int by Wisc was pretty good mental awareness, but J. Lewis has the INT of the year so far. Such a great play!

.... True....  Fair point.

.... True....  Fair point.

The game was cemented on that

The game was cemented on that play. There was no chance for them to win after that play. Charlie Strong is a pretty good coach. The refs blew the whistle and the longhorns didn't get their chance to attempt to score.

What ten teams would you put

What ten teams would you put ahead of Michigan that have played, and won, against competition better than Michigans so far?

Ohio st

L'ville

Houston

MSU

Nebraska

Bama

Wisc

TAMU

Arkansas

Georgia

are the ten teams that have all played vs top 25 teams this year and won and are undefeated. Also NDSU....

You're saying that they should be ahead of Michigan?

Who did stanford prove

Who did stanford prove themselves against in a tough game?

Speight looked just fine.

Speight looked just fine. Over 50% completion 230 yds no INT and a TD. He was definitely rattled after that monster hit by Colorado. Throws were a little high but he settled down. I think he completed like 3-12 in the first quarter. After that he was 13-18. Something like that.

Peppers isn't great in coverage, but he has the athletic ability to make up for mistakes. The first TD play he was out of position because he hesitated, WR got on top and TD.

I'm not saying take away the plays as in if they never happened. I'm saying there were a few blown assignments but aside from that the game was in check defensively. Unfortunately for those blown assignments, the other team capitalized and scored on the plays.

My only concern is how poor the RBs' vision seems to be when it comes to seeing the crease or cutting back for the hole opening up. I saw them run directly into defenders or into the back of linemen repeatedily yesterday when bouncing it to the ouside was the obvious play.

Michigan did what they were supposed to do and outplayed Colorado for 3 quarters... easily. Props to colorado for taking advantage of mistakes in the first quarter and testing Michigan. That QB for Colorado is pretty good when not injured.

Ohio st vs oklahoma -

Ohio st vs oklahoma - outstanding

Speight - Effective

Exactly... the refs screwed

Exactly... the refs screwed that up and Texas lost the game on that play. Last year vs Oregon that ball was on the ground for like 5 seconds before anyone knew what to do with it. Then it was bumbled around for a few more before anyone returned it back for the score.

Mixon did the same dumb crap vs Osu last night on a TD that shouldn't have been a TD.

but if the ball is in the

but if the ball is in the endzone and it's blown dead... isn't that a touchback and the other team gets the ball regardless?

Texas was screwed big time.

Rewatch that game. Watch it

Rewatch that game. Watch it from the defensive perspective instead of the OMG THEY GOT A LOT OF YARDS on that play perspective.

Don Brown wasn't torched at all. We were in great position scheme wise the entire game. There were a few hiccups and missed assignments on the back end that caused those huge plays. Again, the 3 TD's were were mistakes by the players on the field. Peppers hesitated instead of covering the top and the first TD happened. Second TD again, hesitation caused the WR to get on top and over the top TD again. Bad angle on by Hill on the play in the 3rd quarter as well as not jamming the WR off of the line to begin with/hesitation by the covering secondary.

These are simple mistakes to fix and will be addressed I'm sure. The scheme had nothing to do with what happened in the passing game. They also didn't rush for 80 yds against Michigan.

They had a bad first quarter and settled down.

The Dr Blitz schemes got Peppers to be in the position to make the plays on D.

A lot of you have lost your

A lot of you have lost your minds saying that Michigan isn't a top 5 team. Bad qb? Questions about the defense???

Colorado scored 3 times on out of position coverages by the secondary and that 70 yard bomb was PERFECT from the QB, no adjustments needed at all by the WR.

They rushed for under 80 yards. Our defense is fine, we pressured their QBs all day and got hits on them. The schemes are great as well so silence yourselves on Don Brown not being a great coordinator. Just like UCF, get rid of 3 big plays and they are held in check the ENTIRE game, aka the defense did their jobs and gave up a few miscues. Every challenge from each game seems to be addressed and not an issue the next.

Only concern is safety play from hill vs speedy WR's, which is usually a concern for safety play everywhere. He took bad angles. Wilton looked fine out there. Colorado has players on their side as well that are very very very good. Ross and Fields are studs at WR and their corners are quick and really good in coverage.

Let's look at other teams. Bama's defense vs Ole Miss..... they were out played almost the entire game. Offensively as well, Ole Miss's D had that game, if not for bad QB play from Kelly, Ole Miss wins that game by 10. Is anyone saying that they look suspect? No, people are saying that they fought back and had adversity and showed moxie blah blah blah. We got tested by a good Colorado team and came out flat. (for one quarter) Props to Colorado for taking advantage of miscues and mistakes during that first quarter. Then Michigan settled in. Gave up less yards and points and plays on both sides of the ball for the next three quarters than in the first alone.

Anyway to answer the question

1. Ohio St. - They look scary good and in great form in Sept already with so much young talent playing like upper classmen

2. L'ville - The defense is just as good as the offense it seems. Electrifying speed everywhere.

3. Bama/Michigan - The champs are the champs still, defensive questions expected and new QB play still coming into itself.

4. Michigan/Bama - With starters out still, a defensive nightmare for teams, offense steadily getting better. Eliminate big plays in secondary and it's the best D in the country. Peppers!

5. Clemson/Houston -Clemson still has the talent to score 40 plus on anyone, motivation doesn't seem to be there always.

6. Houston/Clemson - Were Oklahoma and FSU as good as advertised? This team can still put up points big time.

7. Stanford - McCaffrey, McCaffrey, McCaffrey. Leading rusher, leading receiver, leading kr and pr yds. The offensive line is dominating opponents. QB doesn't have to do much here.

8. Washington - so far they can put up points (about 50 a game) and doesn't give up many (10 a game). Avg 280 in the air and 150 on the ground per game. Nice Huskies.

9. MSU - State did what state does, played up to the competition and made fans nervous at the end. Good defense again, team is gaining much warrented respect.

10. Nebraska - This team should start 7-0 and maybe 8-0 going into the game vs OSU. They move the ball with ease and have time to fine tune their defense with a soft next 4.

Why would you be downvoted

Why would you be downvoted for having Ohio State as number 1? Goodness people.

I think with this list I'd move Houston ahead of Stanford

I really don't see it as a

I really don't see it as a huge issue for the O-Line. I see the RB's not really making the cuts or having the vision to see where the play opens up at the line very often.

How many times today have you

How many times today have you seen them run directly into the block or defender? If it's not an outside sweep or counter to the outside they miss the hole every time, seemingly on purpose. Or when the play says go to the outside they stuff it right into the middle for 1 yard.

it's been all day long

it's been all day long missing holes and cuts, it's like they put their heads down and hope to make it on the other side.

WHY DO THE RB'S KEEP RUNNING

WHY DO THE RB'S KEEP RUNNING TO THE WRONG SIDE OF THE HOLE AND BLOCKS!?!?!? How is this a thing!?!?!

all of colorado's scoring on

all of colorado's scoring on offense is coming from the secondary playing out of position. Every last score was an out of position score.

and eventually it opens

and eventually it opens up.... Smith needs to have better vision though.

Great catch! wow a few feet

Great catch! wow a few feet away from a TD

you guys ripping Don Brown

you guys ripping Don Brown are ridiculous. It's not the scheme at all. It's people being out of position and reacting late and not wrapping up on defense that has Colorado with those two TD's. It's definitely not the scheme. First TD if peppers doesn't hesitate and covers over the top there's no TD.

see wrapping up works

see wrapping up works

uh oh, back with the shoulder

uh oh, back with the shoulder bump tackles again... wrap.. them.. up...

That look is so outdated. The

That look is so outdated. The color scheme... fine. The cut and style.. no not at all. It's great for a throwback but they definitely would have to be made to fit better. It looks sloppy. The white long socks were a style back then. Black cleats.. eh... Whatever they do they need to be uniform and with the times. Relying on "this is how it used to be why change it" gets people left in the past quickly. Gotta adapt to change and change with the times. Not saying that they have to be oregon with pushing the envelope but something has to be done.

I liked the model that was in the locker room for the recruit visits. White shoes, black shoes, maize shoes, some combination all work, just update the look.

Looks pretty good to me. A

Looks pretty good to me. A little clunky at the top. Maybe spread out the B1G logo and the Jumpman to the where the B1G logo was before and on the opposite side for the jumpman logo if that's the way it's going to be. The placement is the same as Sparty and tOSU and I think Illinois. I think that most teams have some sort of combination of that placement for the logos.

I personally would like the Jumpman on the back at the top by the collar but I'm sure it has to be on the front somewhere. Just spread it out a little I guess. Looks just fine. The blue socks and white shoes are pretty good as well. I think that I'm with most people with the stripes. They look out of place. I wonder if it's possible to make the stripes look like half of the winged helmet on each side. That'd be interesting.

I don't know if I'd say it's

I don't know if I'd say it's overrated. Boston had/has a good squad out there hitting and bullying when they had their Cup win and playoff runs lately. LA has the same but their brusing play wore down Chicago (along with that fluke effn goal in game 7 OT) getting them to win the Cups that they've won and their playoff pushes as well. A few other teams just hit hit hit hit to wear down the opponent.

I think that Chicago is just that much better than a lot of these teams when it comes to skill play. Elliott is playing out of his effin mind this series. St. Louis is probably winning in puck possession throughout the series thus far and shots on goal. It's been a great one to watch, if you don't mind pulling out your hair from time to time. Tarasenko is a monster out there as well.

Tonight should be very exciting as will the next series vs Dallas.

Go Hawks!

Dallas looked so good during

stupid double post

Dallas looked so good during

Dallas looked so good during the regular season. Niemi looked good during the year as well. Sharp and Benn and Tyler (idk if he's going to be out) Fiddler Eaves... The wild are a lot tougher in the playoffs for some reason though. Good series...

Would rather have faced the Wild than the Stars.

Same call happened during the

Same call happened during the hawks blues game the other day. IDK if it was for the Hawks or the blues but it was a no goal. Kinda odd. I think they said if it's on it's edge it's not fully across or something stupid. I thought that was a good goal against Dallas today.

So much great hockey already!

The problem that Chicago will have, as they have had for the past idk how many years, is that they are always out-hit... always. They are a smoothe stylish skill finesse team. They have a few scrappers in Ladd, Keith, Shaw but the rest of the team attacks the puck too often instead of the player. Fortunately for them this style isn't really working vs the Blues because they have skill players also AND they hit hard, BUT the Hawks' skill players are THAT much better and seasoned than the Blues.

Instead of going for the easy outlet pass to clear the zone, they go for the long stylish lob pass, or blindly leaving the puck behind them to a trailing blackhawk, that gets turned immediately or turned over at the lines giving the Blues a great chance offensively.

Game 6's 2nd and 3rd period they finally slowed it down and made smarter plays.

I had hope today that the Wild would beat the Stars to force a game 7. Good series by them. Dallas is tough.

Before the playoffs started I would have said Dallas VS Chicago WCF and Lightning VS Caps ECF

Chicago vs Washington for the Cup, it wouldn't shock me at all to see any logical combination of those four teams in the Cup Finals.

Hope we make it though. Go Hawks!

Tyrion is barely a

Tyrion is barely a Lannnister. Jamie... still is a sister humper lol.... but he gets a pass.

Adorable..

Awww really cute.. the butthurt is strong with this one.

I was at the games when the tickets were practically given away in the 90's I may not be as old as you though. I do remember though that the Hawks in the 90's, after the trade, missed the playoffs for the first time in almost 30 years right as the ownership started effing up. (I think the current Detroit team is around 25 years or so)

Unfortunately the owner traded away Chelios, Belfour, Savard, Hasek, Bobby Hull, Roenick in the 90's, stopped televising home games, raised tickets prices, and generally said FU to the fans. So you can kinda see why people STOPPED supporting a team who's owner didn't care about the team or the fans, he made public statements about this as well.

Yes when ownership changed, fans came back. So instead of "hating" on Chicago for turning their franchise around to what it used to be and actually being successful.... maaaaybe the detroiters might wanna take a lesson from this and do the same for the Lions. It may help.

Go Hawks. Go Chicago!

Vince Vaughn's movies are

Vince Vaughn's movies are hilarious. F U Vox. ahem...

Oh but that running man challenge #runningmanchallenge is hilarious. I definitely am uploading a video doing it soon Michigan gear'd out. Maybe I can get the whole crew at orange theory to join in haha

The Spring/Summer shouldn't be a drag at all.

As a lifelong Cubs fan I must throw in that... THIS IS THE YEAR!

As a lifelong Blackhawks fan I must say.... ONE GOAL! Repeat!

As a Chicagoan I must say... see you guys at the NFL Draft (kinda excited to go this year)

I have no idea what's going on in the NBA right now aside from Golden State and San Antonio and LeBron are winning.

Kentucky Derby should be fun

Summer Olympics. USA USA USA!!!

Tons of Soccer is happening

Also, Game of Thrones (hums theme)

I social media, but not twitter.

I've never seen Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, The Walking Dead, The Soprano's, The Wire, Oz, or SOA. I do want to watch all of those except for TWD, just no time.

Spartacus is another show that you should watch. That was amazing. Dexter and The Following were very very good.

I feel like I need parental

I feel like I need parental guidance to watch this NCAA/SEC lovefest... or at least there should be some NC-17 rating or something. How ridic... *throws hands up*

yeah.... but shampoo is

yeah.... but shampoo is better... I go on first and clean the hair.

STOP LOOKING AT ME SWAN!

South loop is a pretty

South loop is a pretty exciting area on it's own. If he wants to venture north everyone on here has given pretty good ideas. Even being a Detroit fan he could take in a few events at the UC. That'd be fun. Expensive at this point but fun. (has second round tickets woohoo). Also I guess it can depend on where he actually works and that area as traffic sucks after work travling in the city or loop areas.

I'm in the burbs near oakbrook so it's a pretty sweet idea to get out and see what's in the neighborhood. I've been a Chicagoan always and lived all over the place. I would also BEG him to go get Portillo's and a big beef with moz cheese hot/sweet peppers dipped with a chocolate cake shake and cheese fries if he's into that. He'll thank you and possibly propose to you. The food scene here is really second to none. The weather is breaking slowly so he'll have time soon to go visit the neighborhood festivals and meet the locals.

Good luck adapting and have a blast!

Weaver was ehhhh

I agree. The Weaver situation kind of weirds me out. I still don't get why he wouldn't call Jim or the staff and keep in contact. I guess my perspective comes from experience. If you interview for a job and never follow up, you can get forgotten about ,regardless of how great the interview went. I don't think that the Weaver thing was wrong, it just could have been handled a little better by both sides. Maybe someone thought they contacted him ... I have no idea, but when someone publically says that "no one has contacted me", someone should contact them one way or another.

I don't think the Swenson situation was the same at all. That camp knew. He was a highly recruited player in the Hoke regime. He had to have known. Even if he didn't know that he was still being scouted and his scholarship was shakey, WHY WOULD YOU DOG IT AND NOT GIVE YOUR ALL!?!? That just baffles me, that he and his camp are surprised by this. I don't know many coaches that want a player that would do that his senior year, instead of solidifying their spot and continuing to work on their game and their body for the play at the next level.
