back in the 70s most football coaches were serious disciplinarians. no one questioned their authority including beat writers and players. harbaugh is a throwback to those times. as a poster noted earlier, he will not throw his players under the bus and show them up on the sideline unlike pellini,kelly and others. undisciplined teams rarely win championships..........
to me that osu took advantage of knowing these homers were calling the game and made holding part of their game plan as it started from the opening drive. maybe its time for delaney to retire and go sit in the suite at the Shoe on saturdays and count his money.
was the cherry on top of the sundae. on the first possession of overtime when samuels swept around the left end and ended up inside the ten, the left tackle for osu had arm locked the defensive end which looked like a wrestling move. no flag. this shit happened the entire game. you cant tell me that as bad as michigans d line manhandled the ohio states o line that not one holding penalty was called the entire game.
i understand that turnovers and questionable play calling in the second half hurt.. i also dont remember ever blaming umpires or referees for determining the outcome of a game and i am pushing 60. I am glad the Coach stood up for his players after the game. if the situation was reversed and this happened at the big house in michigans favor, i am sure that urban meyer would not be as gracious as he is in victory.
There was a guy out West somewhere who found a baby Wolverine and decided to raise it. He would take it out on a leash and teach it what to eat. Halfway into the program I lost my cable signal and dont know what happened. This sums up my existence.
With LeVert out for year there is absolutely no pressure at all on these young guys. Rutgers obviously thought it had a W before tip off.
As long as the team plays together and works on defense, they will win a few games. I would also like to see less driving the baseline from the corner because this team cannot afford to turn the ball over. Spikes turnover number is troubling but he can only improve on that.
Amen to your above post. Any team with a pulse will not allow cheap shots to go unanswered. I suspect there will be several more players who will be playing somewhere else when all is said and done.
I work with down here in Ohio thought it was funny that Harbaugh would even consider it. As the days go by without a hire, most are now hopeful Number 4 will take it to improve the image of the entire conference. If Harbaugh does decide to stay in the NFL, I am good with that as well because we are going to get a great coach regardless. Comeback Captain...........
I would favor Jim H coming back too but here we are debating the merits of Michigan Men again. Miles is long in the tooth and Harbaugh is a flight risk even if he decides to accept. I have been a lurker on this site for years and the only reason I signed up was to voice my opinion in the head coaching search. Tom Herman is a no brainer for me for several reasons.
1. Where did that Bo guy come from again?
2. Look at what he did with QBS this year..
3. He is a hell of a recruiter.
4. Every successful Head Coach has had to get a start somewhere.
5. Who knows the strengths and weakness of OSU more than Herman.
6 He comes cheaper and Michigan can use money to assemble a top shelf Coaching Staff.
7 I wish Mr Hackett luck because he is gonna need it with Harbaugh..................

The kids footwork and running ability stood out to me. He looks so young and I feel so old..............................
did a good job of recruiting offensive linemen and running backs. I hope we can land a real difference maker at receiver and defensive end.
