I noticed this comment too. Although he included his dad, whose championship was arguably of less import than either of the brothers. But it did make me wonder how much any of us truly understand what motivate him. He's a quirky dude. People who apply earth logic to his decisions have not paid attention IMO.
You act like he did it for free. I mean I am as grateful as anyone for the past few seasons, but his behavior off early season hurts recruiting and honestly its hurts his relationship with fans and the university. No one wants to regularly be someone's second choice. It's a completely fair criticism.

I LOVE Sherrone Moore but having said that I wondered that going back to picking the HC for those last 3 games. There is such a connection between Jim and John Harbaugh for the defensive coordinators that I have wondered if Minter wants a head coaching job at the college level. I find it foolish in the extreme to throw in the towel on Sherrone, given how this entire season has gone, but having said that I do think the defense has played more consistently and adjusted better.
You know why Michigan beat Alabama? Because none of those players or coaches ran around freaking out and flagellating themselves like all of their fans do. Plus, halftime adjustments are a Michigan strength.
What happened on Michigan second down in the red zone on that last drive? I swear to God my TV cut away and went to commercials and when it came back it was third down and I never saw the second down.

Ever since Urban Meyer threw his unholy fit in 2006 about the SEC and leapfrogged a #2 Michigan I personally will celebrate any time the SEC is left out of anything.
Agree. As I recall it mostly came down to that philosophical question--most deserving team or best team. I think they all agreed FSU deserved it more but they wanted to see the best teams. I do think there is an argument to be made they we have all been brainwashed--partially by reality ($$$) unfortunately-that the dominant SEC teams really are that good, really are the best. But someone's gotta beat them to prove that wrong.
I loathe the rose bowl (sorry I've never had any loyalty to that BS tradition wherein we vied for the chance to go play a team from the west coast on the west coast) BUT I am so over playing southern (Texas on east) teams in the south. It's BS. And Washington is at least a pretty hefty drive. So I am hoping for the rose bowl also. Does the #1 team choose?

I'd say that it is both true and not true in this particular case. Yeah the video makes it clear it was brief. And did anyone really think punches were going to be thrown LOL? I bet Harbaugh gave him that dead eye stare he does so well and said I want you to give it to Zinter and I bet Pettiti barely said anything. And the reason I am pushing a bit is because when they called Harbaugh up to the stage? Pettiti was gone faster than you could say scram. And he didn't seem to have much to say in terms of Hey Good Job, Kids! 🙄
He's a little banged up and the o line is quite banged up. They were already in the banged up range before losing Zinter. Hoping to see some getting healthy. I hate the long gap but I think it is needed.
You act like being under that much pressure doesn't affect his decision making. To be clear I don't think people should be seriously ragging on the o line because they're really banged up and losing a major player didn't help. But to act like all those defensive lineman in your face doesn't affect your decision making skills is a little naïve, I think.
They did get robbed. The problem is so did Michigan. That fuck up was 110% on the refs for blowing a whistle on a live ball. No matter the outcome either side had the right to be livid.
