Former Republican governor and current Purdue president Mitch Daniels had this to say about questions regarding the potential devaluation of a Purdue degree: "When asked whether he was concerned that acquiring a for-profit college would dilute the Purdue brand, given that the sector has been the subject of so much controversy over the past several years, Daniels answered that the question is now a “moot point.”" If I were a Purdue alum, this would not be anywhere near a satisfactory response for me.
At the hospital where I work, it's standard practice to have a chaperone when undergoing any kind of sensitive physical exam or procedure. It serves to protect the patients and keeps the physicians above reproach should someone attempt to falsely accuse them.
Not sure about medical marijuana but once pharma options are exhausted, many people find significant relief with ECT (electroconvulsive therapy). Perhaps examining those options with a psychiatrist might be helpful.
He's Michigan's second 4* commit from the state of Georgia. Interestingly, UGA only seems to have one player from GA committed in their entire class. It seems like everyone is eating Kirby's lunch...
Reported earlier today that he fell down 3 stairs while playing with his son. It definitely seems possible that this is just a freak accident at an unfortunate time for him.
Also, not to rag too much on the young lady, but in the post game interview, the player thanked her coach for "letting me play for the SEC" as if the SEC were a team, not a conference. I know we make jokes about the ESS-EEE-SEE all the time, but this just seems to validate them. Glad we have athletes like Mo and DWJ that talk about what MICHIGAN means to them rather than B1G.
It was technically the correct call but the way it was adjudicated after Miss St had already played out its possession shows one of the ways replay and trying to correct calls after the fact can really throw off the flow of the game where a UConn possession where they should be attempting to tie the game instead suddenly gives them the opportunity to go ahead. I'm all for using replay to get the call right but once the next possession has already happened, I think it gets really tough to go back and make that call.
Yes, there is evidence that supports breastfeeding's role in immune system development. That's why folks push it so heavily (to a fault it would seem). That said, if it gets to the point where someone is bullying your wife or gf, that's not healthy either, especially when pump & bottle still gets the breast milk where it needs to go.
Well, there's only one thing left to do... win the whole damn thing! Enjoy the present because the future isn't guaranteed (something our team has personally learned over the past 2 weeks).
Other thoughts- considering scalping your tickets to the Louisville game after our game if you don't want to stay for the 2-15 matchup. Would be a way to help recoup some money on the back end.
As someone originally from SC and currently living in NC, you should consider the Carolinas. SC, and to an extent NC, can have muggy summers but the winters are nothing compared to MI and many folks are moving down here as they get older and get tired of dealing with the northern winters. Places like Greenville, SC and the Triangle in NC are really inexpensive to live, the people are nice, and the weather is wonderful, provided you can handle the warmer summers.
Prayers going up for you Cali. I hope your wife, your children, and you are able to find peace as much as possible at this incredibly difficult moment in your life. The MGo community will definitely be sending good vibes your way.
Also, left turn signal on when in the far left lane. It's what they do in Germany but they also enforce the driving in left lane rule there too so YMMV.
I always hear the "Allie the player to use their likeness" argument but in a free market, what's to prevent boosters from paying players $1 million each to "represent" their car dealerships. I mean, it's a free market so they could legitimately do that. And while I don't see Ross doing something like that, I could see someone like T Boone Pickens doing something like that for Okie State.
I appreciate the anger and I agree the rule seems to be pretty stupid, especially in this case, but the parent/coach isn't so much being denied access to employment as much as his son is being denied access to a specific school. Would the father have legal standing to bring a case or would his son be the one who is legally harmed by the rule and would thus have standing? Would both have standing? MGoLawyers, any thoughts?
That's the way it goes with cruitin. I imagine he'll fade off into the ether and we probably won't hear much from him, either good or bad, going forward. It'll be interesting to see if Slaton ends up qualifying and if they end up committing together.
Not sure if serious but some guy named Rashan Gary committed on NSD last year. Obviously not an unknown player but the uncertainty definitely added some drama to the SOTS event.
Oakland didn't have the option to move to LA though. They couldn't move to LA unless the Chargers decided to stay in SD and the Chargers had a year to make that decision so Oakland was kinda stuck. I think they will be more successful in Vegas even though Oakland is kinda undergoing a Brooklyn-esque revival in the Bay Area.

That disclaimer is in no way disconcerting...
I dunno about tickets but props to you for taking your dad to the game!

That Burke O Rating combined with that usage % is crazy. Like "We had subs. It was crazy" crazy.
