A really fun team to watch. I think they’re more athletic than last year. Everyone can catch and shoot as well as most being able to take their man off the dribble.

Nice that they turned it around when they were only down 12-7 this time (instead of waiting until it was 16-7 like the first two games). 16-4 run to take the 7-point lead.

Said it yesterday and I'll say it again today, this team is so much fun to watch. They push the ball so well and seem to answer back when they need it.

We aren’t a team full of athletic freaks like UNC, Duke, Kentucky, etc. but man are we skilled. We have tall guys who can score in multiple ways. Bench guys who can provide a lot in DDJ, Johns, Castleton, and Nunez.

Out of the 3 guys we lost I think Brooks/DDJ is an upgrade to Poole as a whole. Franz isn’t at Iggy’s level but not a huge drop off. Also, Livers’ emergence might eventually put him as better than Matthews.

Matthews may not have been efficient, but his results make him a Michigan great in my book. Without him we don’t have two banners, and much of that comes from his ability in the clutch and defense.

But I thoroughly agree, Livers this year is a better player than Matthews was.

Thats part of why I thought our preseason ranking was a joke. You have Livers>Matthews. We saw that by the end of the year last year Eli was just about as effective as JP, especially defensively, and then you have Franz coming in to replace another freshman in Iggy (which was the biggest lost). And after all of that accounted for, you still have X and Jon along with everyone improving on the bench. It’s an absolute joke and it’s so clear to see when you just simply analyze things position by position.

Agree with this Qmatic, except for Livers. He's better than Matthews. He is simply a much, much better shooter and scorer - the only thing holding Livers back last year was his hesitancy; this year he's far more confident in his ability to score.

Matthews was a great defensive player and had his moments on offense, but Livers is a beast - he's got NBA-level talent.

Totally agree that DDJ/Brooks combo is better than Poole. Wagner isn't yet at Iggy's level, but the potential is there.

I'll tell ya what....I love JHs demeanor on the bench.  Calm, confident, seems to encourage guys.  No bullshit I didn't think they would be this solid early in the year.  This could be fun.  The guys seem to play hard and are all over the floor on D.  Sure we will have 6 minutes where we look lost but looks like the norm right now in college hoops.  Future is bright boys.

This team is fun to watch. Lots of weapons. If Z plays to his potential and Franz develops could be scary.

Really like what DD and Eli bring to this team. When we go small (Z, Eli, DD) I worry about rebounding though.

I'm really liking DeJulius. I feel like we are almost better when he runs the point. Great luxury to have with Simpson getting in foul trouble a lot this season
