Youtube Highlight channels
I am sure many of you were hoping for more sign-gate content...sorry to disappoint.
.
.
Wanted to share that I recently found a Youtube channel that combines Michigan Game highlights with the opponent radio calls for a nice twist on the standard highlight videos. Channel is "Hail Hail to Michigan" and this is the latest link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y24bP_58EWE
I have watched most of this years' games already and was surprised that the IU broadcasters seemed to be among the saltiest of the group.
FYI - The other "best" highlights channels I have found are:
"Matthew loves ball" extensive but not too long - (used by MgoBlog in front page content )
Wolverine Devotee does weekly highlights that are longer and include a lot of the Michigan "experience" content.
Let me know who I am missing. I have NOT found a good source for the "every snap" videos that were available by creators in the early 2020s.

The opponent radio calls are my new favorite since last year. I think ive watched the OSU call like 20 times atleast.
edit - You are missing parkingod who has been doing it for a while too
October 24th, 2023 at 11:27 AM ^
Yeah, parkinggod is definitely a Known Friend and Trusted Agent in the Michigan YouTube world.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:56 AM ^
Thanks - blanked on Parkinggod -- Always a good watch. Best M-only highlights video out there IMO.
His/her videos are shorter than the others listed because they are typically M highlight focused which I found particularly useful back in 2020 and prior...

FWIW, I find OSU’s radio guy to be one of the best. He’s got a great radio voice and a very professional delivery
October 24th, 2023 at 11:30 AM ^
Agree with this 100%. He is great.
It’s too bad we don’t have one. After Beckman, Brandstatter was terrible as PbP. Karsch isn’t much better AND has a bad voice.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
I agree with this - very professional and honest in assessment of what was going on in the game.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:44 AM ^
Someone mentioned a while back that Paul Keels used to call Michigan games in the 80s. I don't often have a need to listen to the radio feed, but I might honestly try and do a radio/TV sync-up if he was on the call.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:13 PM ^
Keels was here from the early to mid 1980s. That's when Michigan football was king and on both WJR 760 AND WWJ 950. I used to enjoy flipping between both pregame shows on Saturday morning on the way back from breakfast.
October 24th, 2023 at 1:39 PM ^
I don't think he got his due here because he followed a legend - Bob Ufer. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure it was Keels... Nonetheless, like following a legendary coach, the immediate successor is bound to fail.
Nobody was ever going to be the initial replacement for Bob Ufer with any success.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:53 PM ^
undoubtedly. he is the best in the business.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:13 PM ^
Wow. I'll third / fourth / whatever this in support. That's a great voice and delivery.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:42 PM ^
As good as OSU's play by play is it is crucially as bad as MSU's play by play is. That was brutal listening to them.
October 24th, 2023 at 7:32 PM ^
Blaha sounds like he can’t keep up with the action anymore.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:16 PM ^
The radio guy is good, professional-sounding but watching CJ's second touchdown catch I was missing Gus, "GOT A WIDE OPEN RECEIVER! CORNELIUS JOHNSON...!"
October 24th, 2023 at 1:20 PM ^
Interesting Spartan color commentary. How many times did the analyst just say "wow" when Michigan did something?
October 24th, 2023 at 1:38 PM ^
Michigan scored seven TDs so I would say at least seven times!
October 24th, 2023 at 12:33 PM ^
We were listening to the OSU-PSU game on the radio on our drive up to East Lansing and all of us were immediately like wow the OSU radio duo is wayyy better than our radio duo.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:25 AM ^
I came across that opponent radio call channel last season, it's a nice changeup from the standard TV broadcast. The OSU announcers are honestly really good.
I just found what I'll be doing on my lunch break (watching the MSU call video). Can't wait to hear Blaha piss and moan for 30 minutes.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:27 AM ^
Is yesterday’s news. But my stuff is not current anyway.
I have noticed the channel uploading the opposing team’s radio broadcasters. I love it. MSU has Youtube videos of the Michigan radio call of ‘trouble with the snap,” and Frank Beckman losing his sh*t when Sparty got that extra second in 2001. So you can be damn sure I want to listen to George BlahBlah’s take on 49-0.

your work is still some of my favorite WH. Thank you for your service to humanity.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:49 AM ^
It was the perfect hobby to distract myself with during the RichRod and Hoke years. Glad you loved it.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:06 PM ^
Just last week I watched your video of the 2007 MSU game.
It’s crazy how far video quality has come in the past 15 years. Also, back then games had to be split up into two parts because YouTube used to have a 10 minute max for videos
October 24th, 2023 at 1:10 PM ^
Yeah. I hated that 10 minute rule, which eventually became 15 minutes YouTube used to have. Once Harbaugh was hired, I had 25 minutes of highlights from him when he was our QB and I had to split that in two. Not long after that, the 15 minute rule ended.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:31 AM ^
Youtube always has these and their team reporters lamentations as well after each drubbing. It has been quite enjoyable.
The OSU team of the excellent Paul Keels and whoever the numbnuts color guy is is a blast to listen to with last years highlights.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:37 AM ^
God I miss every snap cutups. I hate having to re-watch xfinity recordings. I know, I know, I have options. But every snap was the best and the man took it away, damn him.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:41 AM ^
You can find full broadcast replays at the link below. That site also has a TON of other schools full games and NFL games.

"Properly policed unlike last year..."
HAHAHAHA what an ass..
It's the fault of the police when your players behave like violent criminals..
They are not responsible for their actions!
Interesting radio calls..
October 24th, 2023 at 12:49 PM ^
Yeah, I noticed that especially too. The "problem" last year? Not the attacks, officially and legally criminal, but improper policing.
That doesn't simply irk me as a Michigan fan. It also pisses me off as an ex-cop.
Also, the flagrant foul that got the MSU player ejected? McGregor "went down" [ignoring the push] and then Brown "kinda speared him in the back of the head." Kinda? Ya think?
And the penalty on the tackle of Corum far out of bound? "maybe he did a little too much"
Another penalty? Harbaugh's "lobbying does work."
Face mask penalty: "I didn't see a face mask, did you?" AND more Harbaugh lobbying. AND when they see the replay: he "grazed" Corum's face mask.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:07 PM ^
funny you posted this, it popped into my youtube algorithm this morning. Ive watched the OSU one from last year about 20 times, no bullshit.
from the MSU game you linked, fast forward to 34:40:
"it's 8 seconds left, anything can happen here..."
WHAT?!?!?!? Lmaoo. Jesus Christ.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:08 PM ^
Cant even go on youtube without "stealing signs" everywhere. They really want Michigan to stop beating the hell out of everyone. This whole thing is just a timed attack on Harbaugh. It's going to make college unwatchable if there's an unjust punishment.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:23 PM ^
Nice! I was thinking about posting a thread on this, but you beat me to it. The IU radio call that HailHail posted last week was hilarious, so I'd been eagerly awaiting this one.
For my money, the Wolverine Historian and the ParkingGod compilations are always great. I'm not as big a fan of Matthew Loves Ball- I do like that they get their videos out pretty quick, and all of the big moments will always be there, but as a longer form narrative of the game, I just don't find their stuff to be as satisfying to watch. Their editing is awfully chopy, I think, with the use of hard cuts, and often in the middle of an announcer sentence. They've kinda got a habit of including a clip of something that's about to set up another event, without including a clip of the resolution, too- for example, they'll have a clip of a ref throwing a flag, plus the announcers mentioning 'flag on the play, let's see what this is...' but then don't include what the penalty is, or the result of the following play. It's a great resource for a more extensive collection of big plays, but I think there are better channels to watch and re-experience the larger narrative of the game.

50 points to deducted from house Slytherin for failing to list Parkinggod.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:31 PM ^
The best part is the lamentation of that homer Strayhorn. The second touchdown with JJ's scramble. All he could say: "Oh, man"
October 24th, 2023 at 12:33 PM ^
Blaha and Strayhorn are apoplectic and I love it. Just bitching about every penalty or no-call. And apparently they never saw Hansen just obliterate Orji long after the handoff on the unnecessary roughness call.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:46 PM ^
I think Ohio State has some pretty good videos of all the Michigan games.
October 24th, 2023 at 12:57 PM ^
Speaking of radio calls, does the 2021 Game exist anywhere in full? I've watched the game 100 times, but I'd like to hear Brandstatter and Dierdorf's swan song. My GoogleFu is weak these days. Because Google sucks now.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:32 PM ^
To my knowledge, the full game doesn't exist on YouTube. You may have seen this already.
October 24th, 2023 at 1:18 PM ^
WD has the best Michigan highlights, but Matthew Loves Ball comes out much quicker
October 24th, 2023 at 1:22 PM ^
Wolverine Devotee is my go to. Usually next day posts and captures all the stuff you want to see from the game.
October 24th, 2023 at 1:24 PM ^
A reminder of one reason that fan bases see games in such different ways. To listen to these two yahoos, one would think that
• every success of Michigan's offense was easy,
• every one of the (very few) State successes was a glorious combination of grit and talent, and
• every penalty against State was baffling or due to Harbaugh lobbying.
October 24th, 2023 at 2:01 PM ^
LoL... the Spartan color guy is like... "oh man..." "wow.." "oh man..." "oh man..." "wow..."
October 24th, 2023 at 2:33 PM ^
Oh man I was hoping this thread was about Highlights magazine having a YouTube channel. Animated Goofus and Gallant would be epic.
