Is that the offense was what was effed up and we still have no direction or solution to that this offseason. With the damm Fort, you don’t even know who was going to end up coaching what anyway. No wonder our recruiting has tanked.

Enos has coached at 11 different schools in 23 years. What exactly did we expect from him? In Enos-ology, six weeks is a half-life. You could use him to determine Nick Saban's actual age.

You would have thought we hired a peewee coach reading this board. Now Enos is gone and everyone is freaking out. If anything, this has got to piss Jim Harbaugh off. That's what I want.....a pissed off Jim Harbaugh.

Yeah, he needs to get off whatever medication they had him on this season. I want to see thrown clip boards and grabbing players by the face mask, Bo style. He was there years one and two. Not sure what happened last season, but the South Carolina coaches were way more fired up to win than ours were.

I can't say as I blame him. A much better job at a much higher prestige football program. And look at the talent he has to work with at Bama...no brainer

Is getting less cohesive every day. It’s a shit show. No real offensive coordinator and no real change to the Satan’s quo. If Enos leaves leaves. There will be doubt in recruit’s eyes. The future looks cloudy at this time. I just don’t see where Harbaugh is going with this offense. The future is not very rosy right now. If we see it so do the recruits. After all it’s their future.

Maybe Enos came in sincerely wanting to do the job but saw, heard, figured out, or a combo of those, what the fuck the actual issues are and realized he had to get the fuck out of Dodge because the situation is untenable and hopeless.

Maybe he tried to bring someone to their senses or question or challenge them on the serious issues he saw and the reaction made him realize this was a mistake, or maybe he got his head cut off because he stuck his neck out trying to help.

The whole thing was weird and fucked up in the first place. Why on earth would Enos take a 150k job in the first place when he so clearly had a much higher value on the open market even as only a position coach, but he also could easily find an OC or HC job that would pay or one of these other BS titles with coordinator of part of the O or Co this or Co that, which would pay more. Is there anyone else on our coaching staff making anywhere near as little as 150?

If they had given him a normal and reasonable salary for the position job, and including a stipulation for a certain amount if he got promoted to OC that would seem reasonable. But to only give him 150 but stipulate the 750 smells fishy. What was it supposed to mean? If you think you're going to or want to replace the OC soon and you think this guy is a legit candidate and worth as much as 750 then how can he only be worth 150 now and why aren't you just deciding what you really want to do with your offensive coaches and then  hire or don't hire Enos for the position you really want him at?

What statement are you making by putting the stipulation in? If you just hired him at a normal salary for his job, but then at some point you did decided to fire or demote your OC and give it to Enos then of course you'll have to pay him more and could easily come up with a workable figure fair to both sides at that time.

What are you doing to Drevno if you're keeping him at OC for now, when you make this public, he's supposed to coach with his already half announced potential replacement looking over his shoulder, with the fans and players and recruits all knowing this?

Doesn't that totally undermine him? Cut out his authority and the players trust in him & respect for him? (If there is any) What attitude will he have when you've humiliated him and cut his balls off that way publicly? What confidence will he have?

Just said it best! He said, “ I firmly believe that Harbaugh is going to have a tough time bringing in top level coaching talent on the offensive side until Drevno is gone. That loyalty is a glaring issue IMO.”
“FWIW, this isn't a personal opinion against him. It's based on conversations with people much closer to the situation.”
He’s exactly right though. If Harbaugh can’t get over the coaching tree aspect of finding coaches, he’s ultimately going to be screwed and is not living by his own mantra of “Meritocracy”. If he’s telling all of his players that, it makes him look like a huge hypocrite. You literally have two coaches that have been utter failures and yet you can’t fire them because your relationship with them. Meritocracy shouldn’t be just for your players, it should be for the program as a whole. And by not having the same standards for coaches as you do players, you are not only letting all your players down by not doing what’s best for them, but the entire program. Saban is a coach who doesn’t let relationships get in-between success and look how successful he has been. I just hope Coach Harbaugh can realize that by hanging on to failing coaches he’s not giving his players what they deserve.

but IMO thats pitiful. When you have to give an apology to your offensive lineman, and say you haven't coached them well enough, that means you need to go. In no way should he be on the staff next fall. If you haven't done your job effectivly you should not be doing it. In the army, if you are not effective they take you out and put someone else in to do it better. Harbaugh is not doing that. Even if he gets demoted, he is still taking up over a million dollars in salary. So by allowing an ineffective coach to be on the staff, it makes harbaugh an ineffective leader. You can fix as many other problems as you want, but if you can't fix the biggest ones, you've basically done nothing.

This was a serious bitch move by Enos! The part that messes me up the most is how great of a guy everybody was saying he was when TMI talked to all the local HS coaches. Seems like a pretty shitty thing to do to their players to me. Enos comes in for 2 weeks and says come to Michigan and play for me then is gone just like that. To me that makes him fake as hell and says dude seriously lacks character.

definitely a character flaw.

this type of jumping is what people bitched about with Saban when he took off from MSU after 1 year.

if Enos does leave after 2 weeks then his next stop after Alabama better be a Head Coaching position because i doubt anyone else would hire the guy knowing he has no ethics and doesn't stick by his commitments.

i hope this is all rumor mill bs but who knows.

we will see how it plays out but not a good look for anyone involved.

What “chaos” is there around the program? Pep and Drevno staying is stability. Whether YOU like it or not, it’s the polar opposite of chaos. And Winovich coming back was awesome news. And Don Brown staying is pretty big. And Mattison. And Partridge. And Harbaugh(s). You can argue all uou want about a recruitment ng class that isn’t elite, or that some staff members are not the best - but chaos?! I think not. PS - The state of a program isn’t measured by the anxiety, delusions or hot takes of it’s most notable message board. If it was, then I’d agree that it’s chaos!

More annoyed/pissed that Harbaugh is sitting on his hands regarding Drevno and Pep. Make a move dammit! Be decisive and be the leader we thought you were. Stop playing buddy buddy and do what's best for the program. Next year is another 8-5 year or worse if he keeps them on staff/doesn't change the play calling set up.
