So would that mean next years Ann Arbor home game is gonna be a neutral site as well? There's no way Norte dame would move their home game to then go to Ann Arbor next year.
who cares. Everyone in that building hates that team. Everyone on the team knows the rivalry we just need to win. 'Emphasizing' the game isnt important. I don't think emphasizing make the ref place the ball on the correct spot or make mettelus catch the interception or okorn throw the ball to Crawford.
Harbaugh doesn't want the country to see Patterson running our new offense. Two things he can keep away from everyone else. We all know how secretive he likes to be
john better not let these kids leave practice until they make 100 free throws. Every one of them need to make 100 free throws everyday for the next week if they wanna get it done this year.
Now I'm interested to see who is the OC. And if warriner will be a run game coordinator or something like that. He has to have tom Herman creative plays he can add to the offense
True but the o line has been terrible and if Patterson is eligible I think we all are very confident in michigans chances at a good post season and having a guy who is experienced and could be our best lineman is worth it. Again he could've left after Idc. But Patterson could be one and done as well so giving him the best players around him is very important
To the people outside the football program he will be listed as 'WR coach' but inside the program he's the OC. Demoting pep and drevno will make it hard for other schools to hire them.
I like this, it shows harbaugh is truly doing what it takes to win. Making a change from a predictable offense, to someone he's never worked with who can add to his playbook is huge. I never liked having everyone thinking the exact same thing, defenses can catch quickly to that. But if he's truly the OC I don't quite understand Enos leaving? Could harbaugh not offer him the OC when bama called? The Toledo OC, he withdrew his name and there's no way he turned down our OC, we must have only offered WR job. So I don't get missing Toledo OC and Enos but offer mcelwain the job.
Has 2 national titles as an OC. Coaching at bama and Florida he has to have some recruiting connections down south. Anything to help us get over the hump will work for me
I'm starting to think no one truly knows anything. Is this a WR or OC job? Some of these candidates make no sense at all. These rumors seem ridiculous. Some of these candidates, there's no way they'd take the job as a position coach and not an OC. Recruiting is a big part of the job and NFL experience is nice but that doesn't mean anything. I would've thought we'd know by now. We all want drevno gone but we can't until Calvin Anderson makes his decision. So who knows what's going on in the football building.
Idk anything about him, but I've said this before, I don't really want someone who has worked with harbaugh before. He needs someone new to add to his offensive playbook. Not someone with it. Whoever we hire needs to bring creativity to the offensive side of the ball. I feel if we have everyone with the same play calls it becomes predictable. I think 2016 was as good as the offense was gonna get, add someone on the outside can get us over the hump. His typical offense would get us national titles if we had Alabama lineman which we've done a terrible job at trying to land them.
He and les miles can be analysts but jim mcelwain needs to be the OC. Drevno can gobble the OC at San Diego and warriner oline and run game coordinator.
We as fans freaked out with this class, missing on our longest commit, and being so close on a few top talent with 2 going to Ohio and other going to ND. That sucks but we had very high hope with the 2017 class. Ya they didn't have the biggest role last year but there was a ton of experience with that class that'll only make them better 2018. We had a shitty year this year but we have plenty to look forward to. Defense will just as good if not better with the experience back. We weren't that far off from being 10-11 win team this year. We shouldn't have lost to msu or s Carolina. We were in the game with Ohio and Wisconsin. We are close but being 8-5 ignores that. If shae is eligible then QB take a HUGE leap forward. If he's not can it get any worse? Let's just say he's eligible, he's proven he can spin it. With the new strength coach I believe he will make our lineman mean like Michigan has been known for. Sure we all wish we didn't go 8-5 and have to get past the hurdles but we did. We need to trust that harbaugh knows what he's doing. He's a proven coach. He's as pissed as anyone. He will turn this team around.
Harbaugh and company better get their shit together and do something this year. We have a tough schedule being on the road for our rivals but have opportunity to play at least 4 top programs so we can definitely make a statement winning some games this year. We can't keep losing these recruiting battles. It starts in the field showing these kids it's worth traveling up north to play. Hope Herbert gets our line big and mean and Harbaugh works his magic on Patterson so we can finally start winning the offseason
He coached the national title offenses. Colorado st was was good. Look at lane kiffin. Look at USC and how bad that was and look what he did at bama and fau. Just wasn't a good fit at Florida. He's a proven play caller so he comes in and can help this offense. My first question was what the hell are we doing with ed warriner? I thought he would be o line coach or a coordinator of some sort. If we hire mcelwain we won't have room for another position coach. To me warriner seems more valuable since he is an oline coach and we struggled with that and he can call plays/offensive game plan. Unless someone is leaving we don't know about
No one really expected him to go to Michigan. But anywhere but Ohio please. Our coaching staff needs to learn how to close. Hopefully shae is eligible so Michigan can make some noise this year so we can take that into recruiting for 2019. We have good pieces for that class just need to start making a big splash with high caliber recruits
If we can sign him and Otis Wednesday and still pull in the Rice kid, I think this recruiting class is gonna be better than expected. I know rice only has 1 year but we get those 3 with shae already there, we definitely have an exciting 2018 to look forward to.
What I'm saying is, I'm not seeing us on his list anymore. So missing out on 2 top lineman. I always thought we would get Patterson over him. Never really thought there was a chance to get him
Fuck. I hope not. I haven't seen anything from nicholas petit frere. I seen Florida and bama for him. We needed both of them plus the Rice guy. What he hell is going on
Had Enos gone out and recruited for us yet? I know the other new guys have been making rounds. Haven't heard if Enos went out. And if so who'd he visit?
He needs to ship pep out and call and offer somebody good. Oklahoma st OC can help the passing game. Jedd fisch could help. Idc who but needs to be someone
I know I wasn't the only one who thought jay harbaugh was going back to TE or anywhere other than RB. So wonder if he's staying put or is there something else he could do? Special teams?
I'd be more comfortable if the tweet also said "more offers might be on the table...and he plans on turning those down as well, wants to stay at Michigan"
Why would it strengthen the chances? I mean I would love to see 8 never any more but I don't think they care bama wasn't conference or division champs. It's Alabama and nick saban.
Bredeson was a Wisconsin target. We can. Drevno is good o line coach. I think he struggles with the o line and coordinator role. He needs to set on one thing. Plus the old Wisconsin strength coach. We should have a new team physically

I've been a fan of the blue end zones for the bowl games. Glad to see they're experimenting with it at home
