Winovich tweet ... going pro?

Edit: Moot point. Tweets today he'll be back. Perhaps the bittersweet moment was hacking off the hair?

Better for the team in the long run. Get guys like Vilain and Pwaye in there. Was fun watching you though Chase.

Maybe it has nothing to do with food or taste and he is actually leaving for the NFL. Maybe he has dedicated multiple years of his life playing hard (and well) for our team and we should support him leaving. Just to be clear, I still want him to stay though.

Hopefully Luiji can fill in nicely. It’s his decision. I’ll root for him but I hate when juniors leave school to be a 4th round or later pick. Most picks in that range are out of the league in 2/3 years.

I choose to believe it is related to his hair. Dyed orange and now he's cutting it off. Bitter that he's losing his locks. Sweet that he's losing them for raising the money for ChadTough

Winovich and the defense carried nearly all of the water for the team this year, And next year looks to be much of the same. The only reason why he would stay is if there was a shot at a Big Ten, or National championship.

The only chance we would have for that is if the top 7 teams in the Big, and the top 40 FBS teams all get the death penalty over the off season. Go on and make your money son.

Haha, apples to oranges. Michigan has shown zero improvement this year. The offense is still a huge question mark and the schedule next year leads me to believe we'll see a similar record. I love Michigan football, but don't like where this is headed.

So because Georgia was 8-5 last year that means that Michigan will be undefeated next year and in the National Championship game? That is some real homer logic man. The gulf in class between our offense this year, and Georgia's offense last year is so large that you could park an aircraft carrier in it.

Do I want Michigan football to do a U-turn, and dominate college football? Absolutely. I just don't see it happening next year. So when it comes to a young man like Winovich he's really got nothing to lose by forgoing his final year in the Big House to start his professional career. But staying for another likely 8-5 season or worse can potentially cause him to lose that career forever.

You have a a ton on both sides coming back. Plus all the playing time the freshman got this year. Assuming Shea receives good news on eligibility.

They have a ton to play for and should be good with the changes they will take place during the off season.

Him playing back at traditional linebacker depth was the answer to our question. Unfortunately, besides the play where he blitzed the A-Gap and destroyed their RB, he looked incredibly slow in space. He doesn’t have the agility to play a 3-4 backer, but he’s also going to be 47 years old, so strike while the fire’s hot.
